Chapter Text
Jungkook groaned and pulled the sheets over his head. ‘Jungkook, if you don’t get your âss down here in five minutes, you’ll be late for your first day of school!’ His mother yelled. She didn’t understand that that was the reason for her son not coming out of bed. He angrily pulled the sheets from his bed and squished himself in his black skinny jeans. He put a white shirt on, a beanie and timberlands, grabbed his backpack and ran out of the house without saying a word to his mother. He still didn’t understand why they had to move. He did understand that his mom hadn't wanted to stay with his father, but to move to the other side of the country?! He knew no-one here! Today was his first day and he was afraid that no-one would like him. Sometimes he was a bit weird and normally he wasn’t very good at making new friends. He jumped on the bus just in time and saw it was really crowded. He nervously sat down next to a boy with brown hair and smiled at him. The boy was startled and quickly turned to look out of the window. Jungkook let out a frustrated sigh. He knew no one would like him.
When the bus stopped the boy rushed past him and ran out. He also stepped out of the bus and hesitantly looked around. A slightly older looking boy with blonde hair came walking towards him with a big smile on his face. ‘Hi, you must be new here right? I’ve never seen you before and you look a bit lost.’ Jungkook smiled and nodded. ‘Hi, I’m Seokjin, but you can call me Jin. C’mon let’s get your timetable.’ Jin grabbed Jungkooks arm and walked with the surprised boy to the school office. He let Jungkooks arm go and said to the lady behind the desk: ‘Hi, this is …, oh dâng, how rude of me. I forgot to ask your name! Well, what is it?’ Jungkook blushed and mumbled: ‘Jeon Jungkook.’ ‘You're a real cutie. This is Jeon Jungkook, he is new here. Do you have his timetable?’ The lady nodded and handed it to Jungkook. Jin immediately grabbed it from his hands and said: ‘I don't have any classes with you, because I'm in a different year. But you have a few with Yoongi and Namjoon so they can walk you to a few classes.’ Jungkook nodded, but he wasn't really paying attention. Jin pulled him to a table in the middle of the cafeteria. A boy with green hair greeted Jin. ‘Finally! You're here! Namjoon was whining about how he missed you!’ Jin laughed and pecked the boy on the lips who was next to the green haired boy. ‘This is Jungkook. He's new here!’ Jin said enthusiastically. The boys laughed at his enthusiasm and introduced themselves. The boy with the green hair was Yoongi and the other, Jins boyfriend, was Namjoon. They talked until the bell rang, causing Jungkook to grow a little nervous again.
His first lesson was with Yoongi and he was glad he knew someone. They walked to the classroom and Jungkook quickly introduced himself to the teacher, whereafter they sat down in the middle of the classroom. The teacher was just about to start the lesson when a boy sneaked into the class. Jungkook immediately recognized him as the boy from the bus. The boy sat down in the back of the class and ignored all the glares he got. ‘Min Yoongi?’ The boy shook his head briefly. ‘Please call me Yoongi.’ Jungkook smiled whereafter he whispered ‘Who is that?’ motioning to the boy in the back. Yoongis smile faded away quickly. ‘That is Kim Taehyung. Please don’t go near him Kookie!’ Jungkook knitted his eyebrows together. ‘Why not?’ Yoongi sighed. ‘I’ll tell you another time, but he is really dangerous!’ Yoongi saw that Jungkook wasn't satisfied with his answer, but he didn't want to talk about it now, so he quickly started talking about something else. ‘I hope you're going to like it here! Obviously Namjoon and Jin are a couple. Oh, you shouldn't be weirded out when Jin acts like a mother because that's just how he is.’ Jungkook smiled and nodded but his thought were still with the mysterious brown haired boy, Kim Taehyung. ‘Kook? Kook! KOOKIE!’ ‘What’s wrong Yoongi?’ Jungkook asked surprised. Yoongi started laughing. ‘The bell rang five minutes ago. What on earth were you thinking about?’ Jungkook blushed and shrugged. ‘I have no idea. Sorry.’ ‘It’s okay. Let’s go to the others.’ They sat down at the same table as in the morning and Jin immediately asked: ‘How was your first lesson cutie?’ Jungkook blushed again. ‘Please don’t call me cute hyung!’ Jin smiled. Jungkooks eyes searched the cafeteria until they fell on the person he was subconsciously looking for. Kim Taehyung sat all alone at a table while he got glares from a lot of people. What did he do to get treated like this? Jungkook thought.
Taehyung knew a lot of people were glaring at him, but he had gotten used to it. That’s why he got scared this morning when that boy sat down next to him. He wished he had smiled at him too, but it wouldn’t matter anyway. No one talked to him or wanted to be friends with him in the past two years. He had Jimin and Hoseok, but they didn’t go to this school. He grabbed his phone and saw he had a few messages.
Hoseok:
Hi TaeTae. How are you?
Jimin:
We miss you Tae ;(
Hoseok:
Are you coming over after school?
Tae smiled.
Me:
I’m okay.
I would love to come over.
Jimin:
YAY! Hoseok is going to pick you op k?
Hoseok:
Who said I was gonna pick him up?
Jk TaeTae
Me:
: )
The ringing of the bell made an end to their conversation. Taehyung sighed, threw his bag over his shoulder and walked to the classroom. He wasn’t really paying attention, causing him to bump into someone who fell on the ground.
Jungkook walked with to the classroom with Namjoon when someone bumped into him, causing him to fall on the ground. He looked up and saw it was Kim Taehyung. Namjoon quickly helped him up and pulled him away from Taehyung. Taehyung looked at him and mouthed a ‘sorry’. Jungkook quickly smiled at him whereafter he walked further with Namjoon. ‘You really have to be more careful Kook! He isn’t called ‘the mute murderer’ for nothing.’ Namjoon said under his breath. ‘What did you say?’ ‘Nothing, don’t worry.’ They walked into the classroom and waited until the class started.
Jungkook had his last lesson of the day and he didn’t have it with someone he knew so he was a bit lost again. ‘Sorry Jeon Jungkook, but everyone in this class has a place already. The only seat left is the one next to Taehyung. I wish I had another place for you but I don’t.’ He smiled at the teacher and carefully sat down next to Taehyung. Everyone looked at him with pity. Taehyung looked surprised, but didn’t say anything and looked in another direction. The teacher started, but Jungkook didn’t want to pay attention, so he tried talking to Taehyung. ‘Hi, you're Kim Taehyung right? I'm Jeon Jungkook.’ He whispered, but the boy didn't respond, causing Jungkook to grow really irritated. ‘I'm not surprised you got no friends if you ignore everyone.’ He hissed. Taehyung ripped a piece of paper from his notebook and quickly wrote something on it whereafter he gave it to Jungkook. Sorry. ‘Wow nice answer. Cat got your tongue?’ He snapped. Taehyung gulped and wrote something down. ‘You're mute?!’ Jungkook whisper-screamed after he read the note. ‘Shît, I'm so sorry! I was such an âss to you!’ ‘Mister Jeon, would you please be quiet?’ the teacher asked. Jungkook blushed and grabbed his pen. When he was done writing he moved the paper to Taehyung. ‘I’m really sorry. Sorry for being such an âss.’ He smiled and wrote back. ‘It doesn’t matter. You didn’t know.’ Jungkook laughed quietly and whispered: ‘I don’t know why my friends warned me about you.’ Taehyung got really angry, scribbled something on the paper and ran out of the classroom.
He left a shocked Jungkook behind, who quickly read the note. ‘Maybe you shouldn’t come near me if you’re not allowed to.’ He let out a frustrated sigh. He didn’t mean it like that. The bell rang, causing him to quickly run out of the classroom, pushing himself past the other students. He ran outside, his eyes desperately searching for the mute boy. When Jungkook finally found him, Taehyung stepped into a car who drove away before Jungkook could reach it. Jungkook pouted and walked to the bus where the driver greeted him. He smiled back and hoped he could explain himself to Taehyung the next day. He knew his friends warned him, but he couldn’t believe that the boy was dangerous.
