Tsarevich Ivan Watovich is on a quest to find someone to marry so his family line will carry on. And if he can, defeat the sorcerer who cursed his family. Over many roads and tests he makes his way to a possible worthy spouse and finds a fantastical bird creature, a firebird, who allies himself with Ivan to defeat the sorcerer. But breaking evil sorcerers curses are much more difficult than most imagine... and it's possible this might be more than Ivan, or his new ally, Sherlock, ever imagined!

Magical realism AUs always have been and always will be my jam. A bit confusing at times with Russian names being used for canon characters, but well worth the bit of effort involved in figuring them out. An excellent blend of fairy tale tropes overall. Give it a go!
