Chapter Text
Splinter had been enjoying his fiftieth full rewatch of Lou Jitsu. That is, until he was so brutally interrupted by the loudest wailing he'd ever heard.
"What is going on out here?" He bellowed.
Raph suddenly picked up Leo, the source of the wailing, and shoved him at Splinter. It only took a moment for Splinter to realize why.
Donnie was dangling off Leo's arm by his teeth, thoroughly clamped on and even drawing blood.
"Purple! That is your brother! Let go!" Splinter grabbed Donnie to try to pry him off.
Leo screamed louder. Donnie bit down harder. At this point, Mikey and Raph were both crying too.
"Put them down!"
Raph dropped them both, and finally Donnie detached.
Leo sobbed. "You bit me!"
"You tried to eat me!" Donnie yelled back, showing off a sizable bite mark on his shoulder.
"Boys!" Splinter yelled.
Finally, it quieted down, minus a few sniffles here and there.
"What happened?"
"I was hungry and–and Donnie was there and I couldn't find anything else–I was just gonna take a small bite! But then he bit me and he wouldn't let go!"
"Don't eat me and I won't bite you!" Donnie yelled back.
Splinter sighed. And he'd thought Raph's biting problem was going to be the death of him. "Blue, don't eat your brother. Purple, don't bite your brother. Red and Orange, please patch them both up and don't leave them alone with each other for a while. I'm going back to my show." And he scuffed back to the living room.
Donnie and Leo side-eyed each other the entire time Mikey and Raph were working on bandaging their bite wounds. Finally,
"Sorry I tried to eat you."
"Sorry I bit you."
"You're not mad at me, right?"
Donnie shrugged. "Can't say you guys haven't looked kinda tasty some days. Let's just all agree to not eat each other. But defense bites are gonna stay fair game."
"That's fair." Leo held out his hand to shake.
Donnie smiled and took it. "Also you taste gross, so please don't make me bite you again."
"Also fair. But can we please get something to eat now, I'm starving."
