Chapter Text

“What’s a quirk?” Rei surprisingly spoke up first.

The talking block named Cementos looked at both men wearily, shocked that there were people out there, especially in Japan, who didn’t know what quirks are.

“He was just joking we aren’t lost we just came here for a walk and wanted some fresh air,” Cementos chuckled a little.

“Are you sure you don’t need any help?” Cement asked in concern.

“Yes, we’re sure,” Kazuki held a hand to Rei’s face knowing how blunt he can be. Kazuki scratched the back of their head unknowingly to the knowledge that he was a bad liar.

“I’ll be on my way,” the superhero then walked away leaving them to their own devices.

“Rei when did let us go we need to find her quickly I have a bad feeling,” Rei nodded and followed the taller man in the suit.

This strange world was full of people, with different colored hair, rock for skin, animals like people, and humans with giant wings. They felt like a sour thumb in the face of these superhumans. The sun started to settle on the horizon. When they left their world, it was the past evening now in this world it feels roughly the same time to him.

“Where are we going,” Rei asked.

“We're going to the library we need to gather information about this place once we have a better understanding of this world it will be easier to find Miri,” Kazuki responded.

“I have a theory I think this world is parallel to ours something might be different, but it would make sense as to why the park was the same,” the short black-haired man guessed.

“If that’s true, then I know where the library is,”

 “Lead the way.”

Scanning through the library Kazuki found a bright yellow book labeled quirk history for dummies. He read through the pages with ease.

It says here, “quirks are an abnormality that developed in humans there are emitters, transformation-type and heteromorphic or mutant. Over eighty percent of the population currently has these meta-human abilities or changes its usual sign at the age of 4, anything over is a latent or dormant quirk it gives them powers that normally inherit from the parent's side.” That’s a lot to take in, he thought not only is his little girl in this world all on her own but, there are people with abilities he can even begin to comprehend.

“It does sound straight up from a manga,” Rei whispered in deep thought.

“Did you find any useful information Rei?”

“Yes, I also found some information it's in an old newspaper it seems this world has heroes and villains one specifically talks about a hero killer stain, and an upcoming organization called L.O.V a lot about a hero named all might if I have to say this feels all gimmicky.”

“I see what you’re coming from in these newspapers it doesn’t take much to classify as a criminal or even a villain. Using your quirk in public repeatedly without a hero's license can land you in jail. Lucky for us were not of this world so it will be easy to blend it and get out.”

For the rest of their time left in the library, they learned all they could about the world they would reside in for now. They learned about what pro heroes are and all the heroes they could remember to be preserved as normal and they also decided to be underestimated so they would be quirkless in this world signing up at the registry with a fake quirk and having eyes on them would take too long. Once the library closed, both men checked their pants pockets noticing they still had a phone and wallet on them. Cash was a must for this situation cards wouldn’t work since they don’t live here. Luckily Kazuki had just returned from getting their money. They should have a month worth staying in a hotel they thought about also faking documents to get around smoothly.

Kazuki had a set plan he would go to a hotel, use their computer to find someone who could fake their documents, then try to look on missing person websites and police stations for their Miri.

Yes, it would be simple right?

Miri walked close to the boy, he held her hand and guided her towards the walkway of UA. Hours earlier the three of them stopped by the police station to report the missing child.  “Name?” the officer asked. Eraser knowing the procedure answered the officer’s questions before it was asked.

“She said her name is Miri Kurusu, she has two fathers Rei, and Kazuki Kurusu. She’s also four years old. She says she lives in Natsuyoshi Naka Ward but when we checked the residence it wasn’t as she remembered.”

After filling out the necessary paperwork, they also tried to look for her in the quirk database with no help, it’s as if she didn’t exist. Her name wasn’t there as well as her parents’.

The police recommended that she stay with them, but Aizawa wanted to keep a close eye on her. Hence the teacher, student, and child were at the gates of UA high school. The beaming four-year-old was in awe at the huge school, the gates opened, and the trio continued inside.

“Hey problem child takes Miri to the new dorms with you I know you still have a lot of unpacking to do, I’ll meet you there I need to speak to principal Nezu.”

The teen nodded and walked the girl back out of the school. The coffee slave of a teacher proceeded to force himself upstairs into Nezu’s office.

“I know why you’re here please have a seat would you like a cup of tea,” Nezu offered.

“No thank you if you know why I’m here then let me make it quick I think she’s from another world, the villain's powers to her showing up after he disappeared and the fact that she says she lives in Japan but the apartment she described doesn’t exist I know it sounds crazy but it’s all I got,” Once the teacher finished the white fur animal smiled.

“Yes, it makes perfect sense Aizawa I was thinking the same thing I think the best course of action is to allow her to stay here in UA then we can find a way to send her home. We can also add her to the registry she might have a quirk we don’t know how her world is if not then we can register her as quirkless.”

“Do you think we can send her home?”

“Don’t give up so easily I’m sure her parents are waiting for her; we are heroes it is our job to make sure they go home but for now this can be her home.”

Aizawa found some comfort in those words, he bowed in thanks for Nezu’s help and he left the office not wanting to keep the little girl waiting, “if I can't find her papas,” Aizawa thought, “then I guess I’ll just have to be a temporary one,” and with that, he left the school.

Notes:

Hi, its Saturday I almost forgot to upload, thanks for sticking around for Chapter 2 I do have classes, but I promise I'll work on it during the week when I have time and did you guys see the new episode it was so cute! Anyways thanks for reading see you Saturday!

Notes:

How did you like the first chapter I'll do my best to make it longer. Buddy daddies is honestly way too adorable and the Fandom is growing so why not add to it.
I also know it's pretty cliche with the portal, but I honestly couldn't think of another better way for them to get there besides Miri being the 4-year-old she is and running into everything.

Preview:
After Izuku meets a little girl that came through a bizarre portal created by a quirk Him and Aizawa goes on a side mission to find the crying little girl's parents.
Meanwhile Kazuki's and Rei trying to figure out what quirks are.
