Chapter Text

Kim may be a great fighter, yet he’s a horrible trainer.

When Chay said he wanted to learn to defend himself, he never expected to go through intense military training by Kim. It was funny enough that no one dared to interrupt them, but he had Chay locked up on training grounds for hours, not even their bodyguards had to go through such hard times. Or maybe they did, Chay couldn’t bother about anyone’s situation but his at the moment. He was hungry, thirsty and tired, plus he had assignments and how bloody hell could Kimhan Theerapanyakul fit all of this during his usual days.

“I don’t train all the time, baby.”

Chay glares at him, of course he doesn’t. Kim perfect Theerapanyakul doesn’t need training. “When you said you’ll help me learn, I didn't think you’d put me through hell trial.”

“If you think this is hard, I don't think you’ll survive a real fight.”

“Maybe because I'd rather not be involved at all?” And for real, all Chay wants is self defense. He wants to be able to defend himself without looking like a weak damsel in distress, and if Porsche could learn how to fight then so can Chay, they share the same blood for a reason.

“Your brother should’ve thought about that before dragging you in.”

“You mean you should’ve thought about that before dating me.” He says between his teeth, because he’d be damned to let Kim win this argument.

He threw a punch, completely missing Kim with how fast and swift his moves are. This is clearly a child’s play to the older man.

“And I left you alone, you still choose to stick by your idiotic brother.”

Chay knows, he knows damn well that the older man is just messing with him, trying to provoke his anger, to put his learning into practice. But in a way, he feels vulnerable. He spent years gushing over this man, dated him for a few months then was utterly crushed.

“You stay with yours too and they’re far worse than mine.” It sounded hypocritical for Kim to have the right to stand with his brother yet Chay is the one getting criticized for it. Sure Porsche was a dumbass for even getting involved with the mafia but it’s not like he initially had a choice.

“If anything,” he continues, and somehow their position changes, “You’re the one who brought me in.” Kim is no longer standing, it takes half a second and he’s already down on the floor, protecting his face but not pushing Chay away.

Chay is crying, throwing punch after punch, until there is blood on his hands and his sight blurs. “I was innocent, you approached me, you gave me hope. You, you. It’s all you.”

“Let it out. It’s better to let all of your anger out.” How Kim is still able to smile in such a situation is a mystery to everyone in the room, himself included. Such a psycho…

It takes Chay a minute or so to get back to himself, still straddling Kim, not realizing how much he’s trembling and how only Kim’s hands on his waist are keeping him in place. “Your face…”

Shit! Did he ruin Kim’s face? Chay was surely easy to throw off, so why didn’t he-

“Doesn’t matter.”

“It does.”

Chay finally gets settled on the floor, tears still flowing yet his head clearer than before. Kim was dangerous, has been and will always be. He figured how to tick him off in the matter of few minutes and made him realize that uncontrolled anger was truly blinding. Chay felt no remorse to how he reacted, how he finally took matters into his own hands, yet it scared him how he was capable of doing such a thing.

“It’ll heal before you know it.”

It was weird. Kim was caring again and Chay misses him even though he sees him almost everyday.

“Don’t worry your pretty head about me.” he pats his head in a loving manner. “Let’s go, you have class this afternoon, right?”

And Chay could only wonder how is he supposed to focus on his class after this out of body experience.

Chay was learning fast, even Kim stated it saying he wasn’t worried about him defending himself unless it were against a group of people, someone armed or as good as Kim. Chay didn’t have to worry about that, the possibility of someone being better than or even as good as the man was highly impossible.

But he never got to exercise what he was training in real life as he was avoiding his ‘bullies’ thanks to the huge amounts of projects all students had to work on.

Yet today was quite different.

The second he was dropped off, people started whispering. Some glaring at him and others just giggling.

Oh shit, the rumor. The bane of his existence and the reason why he was even bullied, a stupid rumor. Kim wasn’t even his sugar daddy, God. Kim wasn’t ‘his’ anything at the moment.

“Congrats on the sugar daddy, buddy.” Macao’s ability to appear at the shittiest moments of Chay’s life should be studied.

“Fuck off, man. I’m getting grilled over here.” He starts walking quickly, making Macao hurry on his steps to come along.

“It’s a stupid rumor, it’ll die off soon, don’t worry.” Macau clearly didn’t realize his friend was getting bullied. “There was a rumor about how Vegas killed someone on campus, all they do now is give me a fearful look and walk away.”

“I’m pretty sure they give you that look cause they saw you beating up someone before, that video went viral before your family deleted it.” Macao could only shrug at this. “And it’s no rumor if it’s true, your dear loving brother almost got me and Porsche. That man has blood on his hands as a fact, I just refuse to acknowledge the blood quantity.”

“Don’t think you can handle it, buddy.”

“Yeah, I'm good this way.” Chay sighs, realizing he reached his class.

“Think you can manage one class without me?” And Chay wants to say no, he’d rather not have any problems today, he wasn’t exactly feeling the best. “I’m skipping this one.” Well, screw him then.

“Oh fuck off, i can live without you.” And all he receives as an answer is a blown kiss.

Chay sighs, hoping the three hour lecture doesn’t end him first.

He manages to run away the second they’re dismissed but someone is talking very loudly about him. And really, Chay is always the bigger person, he never looks for trouble but the way they’re talking about him being money hungry, running after a rich man, makes him want to drop his bag right there and then, and fight a bitch.

Yet before he is able to turn around and actually put his newly acquired skills to use, someone blocks his path.

“Don’t mind them, they’re stupid.”

“You don’t think the same?” Damn him and his mouth. Why would he ask someone who’s pretty much defending him why they’re not thinking the same as his bullies. Stupidity really struck him in the Theerapanyakul family.

“Do I look dumb to you? The only thing i’d ever ask you about this is tips, because damn, your boyfriend is one fine man. Have a good day.”

Chay is bewildered, he was left alone and before he could even register that he was walking on campus, Kim was already walking to him, leaving his newest fancy car.

“You need to stop driving these damn cars.” Mumbles Chay, not expecting Kim to softly tuck a strand of hair so it’s no longer out of place.

“Should I get you your own, baby?”

Again, he’s being called baby one more time and to be very honest, if he hears it one more time, Chay’s knees may just give up on him.

“That’s not what I-” Chay is not even able to finish his sentence before a snicker falls right into his ear. “look at him acting as if he’s not after his money.”

Whether Kim is deaf or just ignores everyone who isn’t him is a wonder to Chay.“Let’s get you the car you want first, it’ll be a bit dangerous for you to drive it but I can teach you.”

“I don’t even have a license!”

“Doesn’t matter!”

And Chay takes one look at his surroundings, if they’re all so jealous and sure he’s just some spoiled young guy after a man’s money, then so be it. He’ll be the sugar baby they think he is. Plus if anything, Kim owes him.
