‘So you think you might’ve been hit by some sort of wither, might die any second, somehow your still alive, you figured out Luna has magic, found even more weird stuff and kept all of that to yourself?’ Lolly asks, a bit concerned. ‘Yeah, sorry’ Scar mumbles. Lolly moves over to Scar and puts her arm around Scars shoulder. ‘It’s okay, you can’t help it can you?’ she says. Scar softly smiles. ‘Yeah, I guess it’s just some feeling of responsibility, like I was the one who caused this’ he mumbles. Lolly turns to Scar ‘Woah stop there, neither of us had any influence on anything that is currently happening alright? So don’t blame yourself for it’ she says. Scar looks at Lolly. ‘If you say so’ he replies.
‘Luna!’ Scar calls out while holding his arms open in front of him. Lolly was staring down at Scars arms. After a couple of seconds Luna poofs into Scars open arms. ‘What’ Lolly says while staring at Luna in confusion. ‘How- what- but- huh?’ she says. Scar giggles. ‘You are currently perfectly describing my thoughts when I first saw this happen.’ Luna jumps out of Scars arms again and starts walking towards the village. ‘Oh- apparently someone wants us to head back’ Scar says. He looks over at Lolly who was leaning on her good foot. ‘Are you okay to walk again?’ he asks. Lolly nods. ‘Yeah, I’ll be fine, let’s go’ she says and smiles and Scar. Scar smiles back and turns around to follow the cat back to the village.
The two of them get back to the village in a couple of minutes. Lolly turns towards their house but Scar stops. ‘Wait, you wanted to know more right?’ He asks. Lolly turns around. ‘Yeah, why?’ ‘Well, there is another thing that I haven’t mentioned, but it’s in the library’ Scar replies. ‘Oh, okay, you want to show it now?’ Lolly says. Scar nods ‘Yeah, it wont be long and you can just sit down for it’ Lolly shrugs. ‘Sure, let’s go then’
Scar pushes the door to the library open. On the table were the remains of his previous research. Scar slides the papers to the side and finds the small box again. ‘I found this yesterday hidden under one of the bookshelves when you were outside’ he says. ‘What is it?’ Lolly asks. Scar stares at the box, sitting on his palm for a second.
‘I don’t know’
Lolly sits down on one of the chairs. ‘Well, have you tried opening it?’ she says. Scar smiles. ‘I mean- I haven’t I don’t really know why’ he says. Scar sits down next to Lolly and places the box on the table. ‘Does it have a lock or something?’ Lolly asks. Scar shakes his head. ‘I don’t think so’ Lolly pulls the box closer to her to get a better look at it. ‘It seems to just have an opening here’ she says. ‘You want to open it?’ Scar says. ‘Yeah, sure’ Lolly says. After messing with the opening for a second the box opens. Lolly quickly looks inside. ‘Oh, it’s just a piece of paper’ she says. ‘What does it say?’ Scar asks. Lolly picks up the note from the box and hands it to Scar. ‘You read it out’ Scar rolls his eyes, ‘Alright, reading hater’ Lolly laughs. ‘Oh shut up, just read the stupid note.’ Scar folds out the piece of paper.

Anyway, shelf 8 row 5 book 9’
Lolly looks at Scar waiting for more. ‘That’s all it says.’ Scar says turning around the note so Lolly could see. Lolly took the note out of Scars hands to look at it. ‘Huh, why such a specific book and why wouldn’t past you-‘ Lolly looks up at Scar. ‘At least I think I can assume that it was you because a book, just hide it with the box?’ Scar shrugs. ‘You’re asking questions we will probably never know the answer to.’ He says as he stands up. ‘What are you going to do?’ Lolly asks holding up the note so Scar could take it back. ‘I’ll go find the book, you stay here’ Scar says. ‘Alright, good luck I guess.’ Lolly replies. Scar sets off into the library. He knew where shelf 8 was located so now he was just going to have to find the book itself.
‘6.. 7.. 8.. 9!’ Scar mumbles, pulling out the 9th book. He turns it around to take a proper look at the cover. On the cover was a black rose, giving of black particles. While Scar slowly walks back to the table where Lolly was waiting, he took a closer look at the back. At first sight he had thought that the back was empty but he now noticed little engravings forming some sort of text. As Scar stares at the book he hears Lolly shout:
‘SCAR WATCH WHERE YOU’RE GOIN-‘
As Scar finally looks up he hits the railing. In the sudden movement he quickly catches onto the railing so that he wouldn’t fall over but in his haste he drops the book. ‘NOO’ Scar shouts as he reaches out for the book falling down. Within a second he feels a sort of electricity flash through his arm. When he looks down he sees the book floating in the air, about 20 centimetres from the floor. ‘Scar- look at your hand-‘ Lolly says, who stood up. Scars eyes shift over to his hand, which is covered in a black and purple glow. ‘AAH’ he shouts pulling his hand towards him. The glow disappears and the book falls the remaining distance to the floor. Lolly and Scar look at each other. Both trying to process what just happened. ‘How- how did you do that?’ Lolly asks. ‘I- I don’t know’ Scar replies. ‘I kinda just reached out to the book and some sort of electricity feeling shot through my arm and just- I don’t know what happened’ Scar leans onto the railing, suddenly feeling unwell. ‘Come on Scar, get down here and sit down you don’t look okay’ Scar nods and slowly makes his way down the stairs.
Lolly walks over to pick up the book from the floor while Scar sits down in one of the chairs. Lolly returns and places the book down on the table. The two of them just sit there and stare at the book for a bit. After a moment, Scar pulls the book towards him and opens it to the first page. Lolly moves a bit closer to see what it says as well. ‘Huh..? It’s all weird symbols’ Lolly mumbles. Scar also stares at it, rather confused. ‘I understand what it says.’ Scar replies. Lolly looks up at Scar ‘You can what?’ she says. ‘I don’t know how but I understand it’ Lolly looks back down at the book. ‘Well, what does it say then?’

‘’Wither magic’’

‘’This form of magic can only be found in a survivor of a wither accident. (more about that on page nine) These players carry a bit of the wither with them, making them hybrids. Even though there is a small chance of survival, if they do survive they can become a source for powerful magic.’’
‘Wither?’ Lolly asks. ‘Remember those creatures I told you about? Those that I thought almost killed me? I think this confirms that’ Scar replies while staring at the book. ‘So you have some kind of powerful magic?’ ‘I guess’ Scar flips to the next page, reading the title out loud.
‘’ ℸ ̣∷ᔑリᓭ⎓𝙹∷ᒲᔑℸ ̣╎𝙹リ’’
‘’Transformation’’
‘What does that mean?’ Lolly asks. ‘I really don’t know’ Scar replies while reading further down the page. ‘Does it give you any instructions or something? Lolly asks. The room stays silent for a moment as Scar reads. ‘Yeah it does, some sort of magic based steps to transform to this ‘Wither form’ whatever that is’ Scar says. He looks up to look at Lolly again. ‘Are we going to try it?’ Lolly asks, kind of hoping Scar says yes. Scar sighs. ‘I don’t know, we don’t know what it’s like and we don’t have anyway else around if it goes wrong’ he says. Lolly sighs. ‘Oh come on, don’t you want to figure out what it does?’ she replies. Scar giggles. ‘Alright, sure, this is a horrible idea, but sure’ Scar replies. ‘WOOOO’ Lolly shouts. ‘You should be really glad that this is a private library or we would’ve been kicked out ages ago.’ Scar says with a smile.
Scar had stood up and was now standing in the middle of an open area, book still in his hand. Lolly turned her chair to watch and was sitting a couple of meters away for Scar. ‘Alright, open space, check.’ Scar mumbles. ‘What now?’ Lolly says. Scar rereads the steps again. ‘I think I understand what I’m supposed to do now’ he replies while clapping the book shut. Scar walks back to the table to put down the book. ‘Well, what do you have to do?’ Lolly repeats her question. ‘I don’t think I can explain that in words, it’s as weird as me understand the symbols. I understand them, but they don’t really have a translation’ Scar replies. He walks back to the middle of the room. He stands still and looks down. He could feel his hands becoming sweaty. ‘You got this!’ Lolly shouts from her chair. Scar looks up one more time and smiles at her. You’ll be fine, Lolly is here with you. Scar thinks. After taking one more deep breath in and out, he shuts his eyes. Thinking about the wither creature he saw drawn in the book. Trying to think about it’s three heads, it’s body and how it would move around. Once he find the focus, he moves to the next step. The heart. Somehow, he had to move his focus to the heart of the wither. The book said you would have to figure it out yourself seeing that there was no proof of this happening, and the few people who tried couldn’t manage to explain it. As Scar tries his hardest to focus on whatever the heart might be, he notices a white light shine just outside of his view.
Scar instantly stops his focus on the wither and turns his head toward the light he looks down onto his hands. Wait how can I see my hands. Scar thinks as he slightly freaks out. ‘Okay stay calm Scar this all just literally in your head.’ he softly mumbles to himself. Scar slowly looks around the black void he ended up in. The only thing visible was the white shining blob. Scar takes a step forward and notices that walking around feels slightly more floaty than it normally should. He jumps up and finds himself floating slowly back to the ground. Scar smiles as he sets off from the floor again, loving the feeling of the black void. After messing around for a bit, his attention turns back towards the glowing thing. As Scar moves closer towards it, he feels the same electricity he felt when he dropped the book. He reaches his hand out toward the glow wanting to feel that magic through his fingers again.
And as he touches the white glowing ball
His entire vision fills with white.
