Chapter Text

Annoying. How can someone be so annoying? It’s such a waste of a gorgeous Greek body. All of his hotness means nothing with that personality. Izuku was browsing in his phone how much will it cost to repair his door and what he has to buy to get those dicks away of his door. He will have to buy another door? He let out a sigh, and decide he would deal with it after Kacchan’s walk.

“I think this can wait till after your walk, right, Kacchan?” Izuku wait for his answer, a growl, a bark, a grunt, whatever, but nothing came. “Kacchan?” Nothing. “Kacchan!?” Silence again. “This is not funny, get out Kacchan, please,” he plead for his dog. While also looking for him under the sofa; in the kitchen; under the bed; on the balcony; in his doghouse, but never found him. His breath became agitated, his heart aches and his stomach sinks. This can’t be. Kacchan walks behind him in the apartment again, right? He never, ever, separates from him. His dog was always right behind him. He growled at him when the greenhead jokingly called him clingy, but because of that, he never was scared of losing him. He always was behind him! He opens his door and walks through the hallway. Hoping to find him there. “Kacchan? Where are you? Come out, please… this is my fault,” Izuku said, whispering the last part and letting the tears spread on his face. “Okay, calm down, he can’t possibly have gone too far,” the greenhead said to himself. But what if Kacchan went downstairs? What if he got to the lobby and someone just opened the door and walked out? He locks eyes with the door of his neighbor. He can help, right? He will help, right? He is not a bad person; he will do it… right? Izuku knocks on the door, hesitating, trying to choke back his sobs. No one responded so he continued to knock till the door opened with a blonde ready to yell at him. However, he stops at the sight of the tears in his green eyes. Izuku couldn’t stop crying once the door was open.

“Wha-?” Katsuki was stunned and suddenly he felt sick. “Hey, hey, I’m sorry okey, I will pay for the door,” the blonde says, consoling the greenhead, and he only got more sobs. Izuku tried to speak but his cries didn’t let him. He wished to tell him that this wasn’t because of a stupid door, especially since those ruby eyes looked at him so remorseful and gloomy that he couldn’t stand it. Yet his voice refused to come out every time he attempted. Taking a brave step closer, he spoke sweetly, “Please stop crying,” and then reached up and wiped the tears from the greenhead’s cheeks with his thumb, being gentle. “Breath.” Katsuki order him softly but still demanding, and Izuku complied taking a big breath.

“I ca-can’t f-found Ka-a-cch-an,” he finally managed to say between sobs.

“You look everywhere in your apartment?”

“YES!” He yells, starting to cry again. Of course, he looked everywhere, he wasn’t there!

“Okey, okey, we will find him, I promise,” Katsuki’s voice still soft and giving him gentle squeezes on his shoulders gave him support. “Let’s take the stairs to see if he is there on in the lobby downstairs, okey?”

Izuku could only nod. He was scared of what could have happened to his dog. What if someone took him? He couldn’t live without his Kacchan, he didn’t want to. Katsuki took his hand, intertwining their fingers and giving him a little squeeze as she led him towards the stairs. They both went down and yelled the dog’s name without getting anything in return. Just an old neighbor telling them to shut up, that it was nap time for him. The blonde gave him the middle finger, and they continued down to the lobby. They found no trace of the dog, so they just had to go try their luck outside. It was starting to drizzle, and in a few minutes, that would turn into a pouring.

“Let’s split up,” Izuku said, and began to run in the direction of the park yelling his dog’s name, and the blond did the same in the opposite direction. Thus, the hours passed and none managed to see any trace of Kacchan. His owner was already crying inconsolably again walking through the park, not allowing himself to give up. The rain began to fall harder making it difficult to see and Katsuki ran toward Izuku’s direction to see if he was okay. He finds him under the largest tree in the park, still turning his head to the sides looking for any sign of his chihuahua. His bright green hair now plastered to his face and with drops falling on his eyelashes making them shine. His white shirt was now completely see-through and his shorts were dripping.

“Let’s go, Izuku. We’ll carry on the search tomorrow,” the blonde said while grabbing his hand to go to the building.

“What are you talking about? No!” Izuku said while taking back his hand, making Katsuki’s eyes look hurt. “Go away if a little rain scares you, I’ll keep looking,” he sternly said and began to walk again.

“You’re going to get sick, dipshit, let’s go!” Katsuki yells and grabs his arm, making him look at him.

“No! I won’t lose it! I can’t lose it!” Izuku screams, with tears running on his face, mixing with the raindrops. He was afraid, angry, desperate. “I will not tolerate losing someone again and much less him! He’s the only reason I live! I-” He couldn’t finish as the sobs began to make him unable to speak. Katsuki looked at him not knowing what to say so she just pulled the green-haired into her arms and hugged him tightly.

“You’ll need strength to look for him, you won’t have it if you end up getting sick, nerd” the blond tried to negotiate with him again. A few minutes passed, the two of them still embracing each other. The blonde scared to move for fear of breaking him, stroking his head gently. Until Izuku stopped crying and suddenly nods in the blonde’s chest. Finally, he let Katsuki take him to his house.

Katsuki holds his hand the entire walk home. Secretly looking at the green-haired from time to time to always find him with his head down, hiding his face with his curly locks. He was distant, like if he wasn’t even there. Only walking because the blonde holds his hand and pulls from him. They both reach their floor and before Izuku could go home, the red-eyed pushes the green-haired into his apartment. Upon entering, you could see that it had exposed brick walls. The green-haired man had them covered and then painted yellow. Several plants hung from the ceiling in the living room. Unlike Izuku’s apartment, his looked livelier and more welcoming. He made his living room appear more special and creative by adding artwork and framed photographs. He guessed that the small desk and folding chair in the corner of the living room were intended to be a work and/or study zone. This room gave a view of the kitchen, since the apartment had an open layout, unlike Izuku’s which had everything separate. The furniture, cupboards, and everything in the kitchen were combining the colors black and white. It looked like a professional designer did it. It had two doors that Izuku supposes would lead to the bathroom and the other to his room, one next to the kitchen and the other behind the living room.

“What are you doing?” Izuku asked with a broken voice from crying so much.

“Here, dry yourself,” the blond said, throwing a towel to his face. “I’ll give you something to change into while you take a hot bath.”

“Why?” The face on the greenhead was so puzzled that made the blonde chuckle.

“Because as the little shit I think you are, if I didn’t do this, I’m sure you will enter your house and go straight to bed.” The accuracy made the greenhead offended by it.

“You had no way of knowing that.”

“Your idiotic face is already giving me the reason,” Katsuki says, smirking.

“Still.”

“That’s the bathroom, go,” he said, pointing the door next to the kitchen. “I’ll look something up for you.”

“But-” Izuku’s word get stuck in his mouth by the exit of the blond through the door behind the living room; his room, he guesses. He sights, resigned, and enters the bathroom. It had a black vinyl floor; white tiles on the walls; storage drawers beneath the white sink; above a giant mirror; and an enormous white bathtub with a black and with a curtain in the back. This bathroom was extremely different from his. He heard a knock on the door as he entered the bathtub and saw how the door opened after he told the blonde to come in. He could see his figure through the curtain, leaving the clothes on the toilet. The room was already filled with steam.

“He is the smallest I have. I hope it works for you, nerd.” Katsuki said jokingly.

He stayed a few more minutes, trying to relax with the hot water. When he left, he put on the clothes that the blonde brought him, discovering that the shorts weren’t small enough for him. Even the shirt was big. It reached his knees. He looked for his clothes to at least put on his own shorts, but they weren’t there. He assumed the blond grabbed them to dry. He debates with himself what should he do. He hesitated if he should go out like that or not, but what choice does he have? What would he think of him, though? He took a mouthful of air and decided to go out and act as if nothing was happening. As if he wasn’t just in a black shirt with a skull stamp on it, and boxers.

“This is so embarrassing.” Izuku mumbled before leaving the bathroom and reaching out the kitchen. The heater was already on, providing heat to the entire house. He finally stands there watching the blonde cooking. The smell was intoxicating and made the greenhead’s stomach growls. The sound startled the blond and made Izuku’s cheeks blush. When Katsuki turns around, he drops the spatula he was holding and his words get stuck in his mouth as he inspects the greenhead. “The shorts were too big,” Izuku mumbled, adverting to the blonde’s burning gaze.

“It’s that so,” Katsuki whispers. He caught and grab the spatula again from the floor. “Sit,” he said a little too high pitched while pointing with the spatula the counter stools behind the kitchen island. After some time, he put a bowl in front of Izuku. “Spicy Chicken Taco Soup, dig in,” he explains, bringing his own plate and eating beside him.

“How spicy, exactly,” Izuku said, eyeing his plate. He can tolerate spicy, at a certain level, of course. Katsuki rolled his eyes before answering.

“Relax, you’ll survive.”

“Then thank you for the food,” he said, taking a bite to his mouth. When the food touched her mouth, he couldn’t help but let out a moan, which started the blonde, making him cough. “God, this is amazing!”

“Fuck you, don’t ever do that again!” Katsuki manages to say after he controlled his cough.

“But is so good!”

“Stop!” Katsuki ears were red and Izuku couldn’t resist the giggled that escape his mouth.

After both finished their meals, Izuku lock his eyes on his hand that were leaning on his lap. “Thank you for helping me today, Katsuki,” the greenhead said softly.

“Don’t mention it, nerd,” he said, reaching to pat his head, startling the other one. “If something like that happens to me, I wish people would do the same.” Katsuki gives him a reassurance smile when those green sparkling eyes landed on him.

“The rain was so strong,” His voice cracked again and his eyes began to shine like crystal, trying to hold on the tears. “Is he going to be alright?”

“Come here,” Katsuki grabs his arms and holds him tenderly. Izuku couldn’t hold back the tears anymore and started crying again, spilling the blonde’s shirt. “He’s a fighter. I know he will be.” They remained like that for a few more seconds until the blonde felt the weight in his lap. He looked down and met Deku. He let out a whimper, and that got the greenhead’s attention.

“Hello, little guy, did you come here to comfort us?” Izuku said as he grabbed Deku’s head and petted it.

They sat there in silence patting Katsuki's dog until both heard a bark coming from behind. They both looked at each other, confused, and when they turned around. They found him. Kacchan was there looking at them like they were idiots.

“Little fucker.”

“Kacchan!” Both said while Izuku jump off his sit and go to grab his dog, giving him a big hug and filling him with kisses. Never flinching from the growling and barking Kacchan gave him. “You were here the entire time!?”

“He must have come here while we were talking.”

“You mean fighting?” Izuku asks smugly and raises an eyebrow at him.

“Talking, fighting, flirting, same thing,” he said, shrugging. Izuku just rolls his eyes and puts his attention back in his dog

“You made me so worried!” Izuku scolds Kacchan. He could have felt offended when he rolled his eyes at him, but finding him safe was filling him with extreme happiness. Kacchan squirmed to make his owner lower him to the ground. “Okay, okay, you indulged me enough.”

“Happy ending, then” Katsuki tells him. Izuku smiled at him and nodded. When they turned their attention to the chihuahua again, he was at Deku’s side, getting licked and both were cuddling each other.

“Oh, he must have missed him so much,” Izuku said, suddenly feeling guilty. He was so intent on getting back at the blonde or getting ahead of their prank fight, if you can call it that, that he never thought about how Kacchan might feel. Deku was the only dog that Kacchan didn’t want to poke an eye out of if he got closer than two meters.

“They surely like each other,” Katsuki said beside him, watching as his dog groomed the neighbor’s dog. “Our dogs are gay,” he whispers in the greenhead ear.

“WHA-! You need to stop doing that!” Izuku said exasperate and with his ears and neck painted red.

“Doing what?” Katsuki tries to play innocent. His smirk and amusement never leaving him.

“You know what!”

“Illustrate me, please”

“Ugh, forget it,” the greenhead said, rolling his eyes to lead a confused look on his face to take place. “What do you mean, they’re gay? They’re dogs.”

“I mean, my dog wants to mount yours,” the blonde said, almost blasting out laughing because of Izuku’s face. “Or maybe the other way around, we shouldn’t stereotype.”

“Well, I hope it’s the other way around!” Izuku said with a horrified look on his face. Katsuki was fighting hard to not just let out the bunch of laugh he had in him.

“Why?” the blond asks expecting the answer to be the last straw for him to burst.

“He’s too big for Kacchan!” and that did it. Katsuki burst out in laughter, putting a hand on his stomach when he began to feel pain. “I mean it! How would that work, anyway?”

“Please, no more!” Katsuki pleads between laughs. Izuku puffed out his cheeks in a pout. “Oh, come on freckles, don’t get mad”

“I’m not,” he protests, putting his hands on his hips.

“You are,” the blond says back at him, copying his pose.

“Not.”

“Are.”

“I’m leaving,” Izuku said while walking to his dog.

“Wait!” Katsuki grabs his arm. “Give me your number.”

“Wha- why?”

“Why do you think, nerd? So, we can set up Deku and Kacchan’s dates,” he said like it was the most obvious thing in the world and Izuku was just stupid for not figurative out.

“O-oh, r-right,” Izuku said, taking out his phone. After exchanging numbers, he and Kacchan went to his apartment to rest. Just before going to sleep, he received a message that made him smile involuntarily.

</Dream with me, freckles ;)/>

“Stupid,” he said before sleep beat him.
