Made this short story for my US History class freshman year. Was re-reading it and decided to post it so it's not just sitting there. It is told in the perspective of Tsu'tey and when he died. I also got an A, if you were wondering!
Here were the guidelines:
Your paper should have a title, 12 font-Times New Roman, double spaced, and 5 paragraphs. The 5 paragraphs should be introduction, 3 body paragraphs on themes from the film (imperialism, nationalism, industry, etc.), and a conclusion. Do not just tell me what happened in the movie. Everyone always jokes about the paranormal. They like to Quote cheesy horror movies, and mess with Ouija Boards. But nobody really talks about ghosts all that much. They may talk about that paranormal experience they had once, sure. But it is always relatively tame; something like a shadow in the corner of a room, vaguely humanoid, there for a moment before disappearing. This is because the spirit world doesn’t usually plague the lives of the living. Except when it does.
TL;DR A ghost au where Nagisa can see ghosts and Karma becomes one. Chaos ensues.

Summary
TommyInnit's world shatters when he sees his mother, Kristin Watson, killed on live TV by the superhero Phil Watson. Neither Phil nor his sons, Technoblade and Wilbur Soot, know about Kristin being a villain or that Tommy is Phil's son. Raised by his anti-hero aunt, Captain Puffy, Tommy grows up fueled by a deep-seated hatred for Phil and his family.
Years later, Tommy discovers that his close friends, Ranboo and Tubbo, are being trained as heroes by none other than Phil. Determined to exact revenge, Tommy, under name ‘Phoenix’ the plans take an unexpected turn when he finds out Phil is his father. This revelation complicates his feelings and actions as he navigates a world where he feels abandoned and is alone.
Btw. Tommy is like a phoenix as he gain both his parents traits, Phil’s wings and Kristin’s fire. Also I do not support Wilbur in any way shapre or form. I will only use his character in this fic.

“Tell me how the afterlife is for me okay, Tommy?” Dream says, delivering one final punch right into Tommy’s skull. He falls on the cold obsidian floor, his body landing like a thrown away ragdoll, sadly laying on the ground, abandoned. He can’t keep his eyes open, everything is blurry, the ringing in his ears won’t stop, and the pain won’t go away.
The last thing he sees before everything goes dark is Dream’s right eye, wide and filled with psychotic joy. The one thing visible behind Dream’s broken mask. He can imagine Dream smiling behind it.
So this is what it’s like to die, Tommy thinks before he can think no longer.
Or, c!Tommy gets fucking yeeted into the my hero universe.

AKA: a soulmate AU where your soulmates can see through your bullshit from an author who doesn't glamorize mental health and dysfunctional family dynamics (hence the "dead dove, do not eat" tag).
