Chapter Text
Eri nervously blinked up at the man in front of her before shooting another slightly panicked look back to her Grandfather. “I don’t wanna go.”
The Angel crouched in front of her winced slightly. “It isn’t going to be forever Eri. You’ll still get to see your grandfather fairly often. We just want to make sure nothing happens to you when your grandfather can’t be with you.”
Eri bit her lip slightly. “You aren’t… scared? …That I will make you go away?”
Her Grandfather chuckled and reached over to ruffle her hair. “Eri, Sweetheart, you couldn’t hurt him if you tried. If you lose control again, he can just make your power go away for a bit to stop you.”
That got Eri’s attention immediately snapping back to the Angel. “You can?”
He smiled and nodded before his eyes briefly changed from bright green to bright red and his hair began to float around him like a halo. “I can actually do it two different ways. When my eyes turn red like this, anyone I am looking at loses their powers until I blink. Or if I need to do it for longer than that, I can touch someone with all five fingers and borrow their power for a bit.”
Eri stared at him with wonder painted on her face. “Could you take it away forever?”
The Angel’s smile dropped. “I’m sorry but no I won’t. Eri, I know you are scared of what you can do but you are capable of far more good with your power than I am. Eri, your gift can heal any injury in a blink regardless of the severity. All you need is practice.” He paused as if listening to something. “Think of it like this. You have seen what your Uncle Kai can do with his power right?”
Eri slowly gave a reluctant nod.
“Do you think he was doing all of that when he was your age? His power is even more dangerous than your own but when used correctly can just as easily save lives. It is the same with the powers of Heroes too. Heroes take years to train themselves to learn how to control not only their powers but their bodies and minds to be the best they can be.”
Her Grandfather made a noise of annoyance. “Don’t tell me you plan on feeding her all that Hero propaganda?”
The Angel gave her Grandfather an amused smile. “No, but you do need to keep in mind that she is only 6. Starting with the black-and-white explanation is a way to make it easier for her to grasp. Besides, I can hardly vilify the Heroes given my Husband that she will largely be staying with is one.”
Eri felt her face scrunch up in confusion. “Husband? Isn’t that what the boy in a married couple is called? Wait, does this mean you are a girl too?”
The Angel looked completely thrown by her question. “Ah. No. Married people don't only exist as one man and one woman. People can fall in love with anyone, not just people of the opposite gender. I am a man who finds only other men attractive so I married another man who feels the same so I have a husband, not a wife.”
“But Uncle Kai said that married people have to be a man and a woman?”
That somehow seemed to confuse him even more. “Oh wow, how far into the closet even is he?” He shook his head. “Ah, no, your Uncle was lying when he said that though I suspect that he was saying it more to convince himself than you. I have it on pretty good authority that he likes other men too.”
That got a noise of surprise from her Grandfather. “Really? Can I ask who?”
“A European man named Flect Turn. His Quirk keeps him from physically touching anything thanks to the shield that covers his whole body. I’m not entirely sure that they would work out if you tried to set them up since Chisaki still has his Quirk and when they met in the other timeline, Turn thought him as being naturally Quirkless. He is the leader of Humarise so you can probably guess about his flavor of crazy.”
The Angel cocked his head slightly before continuing. “Of course, they could still probably get around that given the fact your ward is trying to find a way to permanently remove other people’s Quirks so there is also that.”
“Ah. I suppose I will have to think about that.”

Mirai gave Ten a look of clear disapproval. “Please don’t tell me you kidnapped a small child and then brought her here to my Agency.”
Ten snorted as he flashed Mirai with his natural smile. “No, I asked her Grandfather nicely if I could look after her for him since her uncles were not long-term options.”
Mirai huffed. “You mean that I would look after her while you are off getting into trouble.”
“Well if you’re offering but I do have my family and my employees as options too.”
Awata, who had been watching their exchange in clear confusion, cut Mirai off before he could respond. “Um, Sir… Is this…?”
Mirai rolled his eyes before sighing and gesturing between his Villain Husband holding the very confused-looking little Eri and his very confused Sidekick. “Bubble Girl, my husband. Ten, I'm sure you recognize Bubble Girl.”
Ten rolled his eyes and gave a half-hearted glare to Mirai. “I’m in costume. I’m Guardian Angel right now, Mirai. You shouldn’t go around introducing me by my actual name when I am dressed up like this.”
Mirai gave him a clear look as he deadpanned. “Need I remind you that legally speaking, your name isn’t actually Ten yet since younger you has yet to change it.”
Eri, who had thus far clearly been watching all of this warily, now twisted slightly in Ten’s arms. “What is he talking about?”
Ten’s expression softened in a way that Mirai was sad to recognize as the way he had used to look at their little Toshinori. “Your Grandfather’s Quirk was used on me several years from now so I could come back and fix some things like helping make sure you stay safe. Mirai was teasing me about something we both know to be silly.”
“That was a joke?”
“An inside one but yes. Mirai might look all serious, but he loves a good joke unlike your uncles and their friends. He and his Sidekicks are good people, you don’t need to be nervous around them.”
She bit her lip. “You aren’t scared I might hurt them?”
Ten gently shook his head. “The only reason your accident happened was because you built up too much Temporal Energy and the dam holding it all back temporally broke. So long as you do the practice I have figured out for you to do with your Rewind, the chances of something happening like that again are extremely low and should be nonexistent since I know all the signs to look for before it can happen again and interfere. Eri, your Quirk is not a curse but a gift. You just need to remember to tell yourself that every day.”

Kaoruko watched Sir and his husband in open curiosity as they seemed to silently dance around each other as if subconsciously predicting the other’s next move as they saw to girl that was evidently Guardian Angel’s at least temporary ward was fed and settled down to sleep spending the night here in the agency, likely signaling that the two of them were probably not going home again tonight and instead making use of the facilities that Sir had ensured were installed when he created his Agency knowing how back he was about going home every night when he was working a case. It was as fascinating to watch as it was confusing. They moved in such careful sync that only would have made sense if both of them were using Sir’s Foresight unless…
She waited until they had relocated to the small kitchen with Centipeder who had joined them along the way. “You two have known each other for a hell of a lot longer than you implied, haven’t you?”
As Sir clearly winced, his husband just smiled smugly and held out a hand that made Sir sigh and fish out a few Yen notes and hand them over. “I don’t even know why I bothered.”
Kaoruko frowned. “Sir?”
His husband gave a chuckle. “Mirai made a mistake in betting against that one of you would figure out something was up. I told him that he taught you two and Togata well so there would be no fooling you but he was trying to be optimistic about his chances of lying to you.”
Sir gave the man a half-hearted glare before sighing. “I was mistaken in thinking that I could lie by omission. It is a long story but the short version is that this is Ten’s second time time traveling and he brought back with him a way to restore my memories of the alternate timeline. The first time he traveled back, he ended up further back in the past to before he had even been born but now…”
“Now Mirai is not happy to be in the awkward position of technically being married to a minor since I woke back up in my younger body. It isn’t really that much of an issue obviously since I can make myself look my actual age but I knew he was going to eventually give himself away at some point over the next couple of years while I work on jumping through the legal hoops to get my Hero License back without revealing my status as a time traveler to the Commission who locked my up in Tartarus without a trial last time for having the misfortune of being related by blood to the Villain All for One and sent me into a war as a child in the first.”
As Kaoruko processed that info dump, Centipeder gave them both an odd look. “And does your family know about this? Guardian Angel, surely your parents wouldn’t be thrilled with the two of you together given the age difference.”
Kaoruko was surprised as both of them snorted at that before he deadpanned back. “Like they could fucking judge. My father is literally over a century and a half older than my mother. Honestly, I think the only thing that my father disapproves about the whole thing is that I married the former Sidekick of his nemesis.”
“That and you agreed to name our son after him.”
There was a sadness in that statement that was echoed back by his husband. “True.”
Kaoruko bit her lip. “You had a son in the other timeline?”
Both Sir and Guardian Angel just wilted at that. “His murder was one of the main factors that made me decide I needed to try to risk going back in time with that Quirk again. Me ending up back in this timeline again was not the plan.”
When Sir spoke, his voice was rough, like he was going to cry. “Toshinori was only barely four.”
Kaoruko, feeling extremely guilty for clearly bringing up something that was clearly still so raw of a loss for them, changed the subject. “So what is the story about the little girl?”
Guardian Angel gave a weak smile. “In the first timeline, she was sort of a little sister to me. Her case was one of the things I prioritized in the second timeline to save her which eventually led to her going on to take over for Recovery Girl in a little over a decade after she graduated from UA herself. Her Grandfather is an old Yakuza contact of my father’s so I was able to lean on the obvious connection between us to convince me to transfer her custody to me before the incident in my first timeline repeated that lead to her abuse and his own death.”
“Obvious connection?”
Sir snorted. “He, unfortunately, takes mostly after his father both in appearance and in his Quirk. If it is only because of the fact that his hair isn’t white yet and he has yet to grow into his full height and lose his baby fat that is hiding it from All Might thus far. That and the rather creative lie he came up with to throw people off the truth of his real Quirk.”
Centipeder frowned. “Is your Quirk not some kind of disguise Quirk?”
He shook his head. “No. My Quirk allows me to give and take the Quirks of others. The Quirks I am currently using to disguise myself are ones I obtained during my previous life, one taken from the Villain who hurt Eri in the first timeline and the other a copy of Hawks’ that was created with his permission later. I have a process that I can use to create copies of other Quirks but before you ask, only my father’s descendants can use them without risk. If the Quirk copy does not fuse with the original Quirk of the new Holder, then there is a risk of the Holder later going insane and even if that doesn’t happen, there is a risk of the new Quirk still affecting them mentally. The only reason something similar doesn’t happen to us is because we carry a special genetic marker that shields us from side effects like that.”
Kaoruko bit her lip. “Um, since we are going to find out apparently from what you said earlier, could we get a proper introduction?”
Guardian Angel gave Sir a questioning look before shrugging and his form shifting in a shower of sparks. In his place sat a small now short green haired teen with the same bright green eyes. “Midoriya Izuku or Shigaraki Ten in private if you prefer.”
She blinked in surprise. “You have green hair too.”
That earned a laugh from Midoriya. “Not for long.” He tugged at his curls to reveal the start of white roots. “Like my late uncle and one of my brothers, I am going white early from the stress my body is under. I am not at any health risk from it because of the same Quirks that are causing it and I actually could stop it this time around but I do prefer my hair white since it is what I am most used to.”

Katsuki watched as Deku yawned as he appeared from an alleyway on the way to UA. He had given up waiting for him at Deku’s apartment and just started walking a few minutes ago after one of Deku’s fucking minions had turned up and said he wasn’t home. He narrowed his eyes. “Where the fuck were you all night? Double Speak said you never came home yesterday.”
Deku shrugged and yawned before coming closer so he could talk with his voice lowered. “Sir Nighteye’s Agency. I wanted to make sure my daughter would be alright with him and his Sidekicks until at least Friday.”
Katsuki had to take a second to process that. “Did you fucking say daughter? Did you go to save her last night? The fuck, I thought from how you were speaking that was a while off still.”
Deku rolled his eyes. “I was able to but yeah that was not the original plan. I had to bump up my timetable for that slightly. Eri would have lost her last safe legal guardian here in a few months after her uncles conspire to murder him to use her Quirk for their own gain so I thought I had more wiggle room for when I spoke with her Grandfather but shit happens. I was able to prevent his death last time but with the uncertainty of a repeat, her Grandfather agreed that she would be safer in my care without much issue.”
“How the fuck did you convince him? This whole time travel bullshit I only believed because I have fucking known you forever.”
Deku shrugged again. “Well, it was originally his Quirk. He offered it to Dad since he had no plans to use it. Between the fact I look like Dad so much in my adult form and I even knew about his Quirk in the first place made me believable.”
Katsuki rubbed his face. “So when the fuck am I going to get the news you fucking deaged Sir Nighteye?”
Deku gave a mischievous grin.

Mirai was a bit annoyed with himself for not realizing what Ten was up to sooner from how fast he had picked up Eri. They knew after all that she would have been safe until at least this summer since the trigger that kicked off the whole Overhaul thing from his original timeline had been All for One’s apparent defeat by All Might and the man’s desire to try and take his place at the top.
Eri was avoiding meeting his gaze as she picked at her breakfast.
Mirai sighed and rubbed at his eyes under his glasses. It was best he addressed the issue with her before she started to blame herself more than she likely already was. “Eri, Ten borrowing your Quirk without your permission in your sleep to use on me in mine is hardly your fault. If anything, I should have realized that he was thinking about doing that in advance. I’m fine other than being slightly annoyed with having to deal with the nightmare that is my 16-year-old body again and none of that is directed at you.”
She perked up slightly, curiosity dancing in her eyes. “Why would Mr. Angel want to make you younger?”
Mirai held up a single finger to tap his lips. “Ten is pretending to be physically older than he is right now. Like me, he was deaged, though through the use of a different Quirk. While he can easily hide that fact with one of his Quirks, I assume that he was getting annoyed with having to age himself up so he could openly acknowledge our relationship, not that it really mattered since most everyone who knows about the two of us being together know about him being older than he-”
Mirai was cut off by a startled noise from the doorway. “Oh my God! Sir, is that you?”
Mirai turned and snorted at Awata’s clearly startled expression. “You’re here early. In case it wasn’t obvious, it seems my husband decided to pick up Eri here for an alternative motive then I first thought.”
She walked up and lightly poked Mirai in the cheek. “Oh this is so weird. You look like you are younger than Lemillion now. I had no idea you were so pretty as a teen Sir. Um no offense to how you normally look though.”
He batted her hand away with an embarrassed blush. “Well I technically am younger than him physically.”
“So how long until this wears off?”
Mirai pointedly averted his eyes to his coffee. “It is not going to.”
“Wait so you are stuck at this age permanently?”
He snorted and rolled his eyes. “Don't be ridiculous. No, I am just stuck aging back to my actual age the long way. In other words, I am just permanently 22 years younger then I should be… Assuming no more ‘accidents’ occur.”
“Wait are you tell me that Midoriya did this to you intentionally?”
“Well Eri sure didn’t use her Quirk on me and the fact that I was only deaged 22 years makes it plainly obvious he was the one who did it.”
“Why?”
“Why do you think? He probably doesn’t want to have to hide his relationship with me. Not that this really solves the issue since people are still likely to take a relationship between us the wrong way without the knowledge that he is older than he looks too.”

Tomura watched his father excitedly flit around their kitchen making breakfast for him and Oboro. Apparently, one of the things that he had missed doing following losing his sight was cooking his own food.
All of this was so strange and dream-like for him still.
It was as if after years of wishing for it, he had woken up in another world where his guardians were his fathers all along.
He cast a glance at Oboro who was occasionally piping up to inform his father where various things in the kitchen were located or just warping things from hard to find places to out onto the counter for him.
His father.
Tomura was not sure if he actually wanted to call him that aloud. Not when that had been the title his biological father had worn. Still, he was not sure if his father would like it if he used something less formal for him. Not when he was still not sure where he stood as his father’s adopted son.
“What do they call you?”
“Hmm?” His father turned to look at him from where he had been mixing pancake batter. “You will need to be specific Tomura. A lot of people call me a lot of things.”
Tomura flushed and averted his gaze down. “My brothers.”
“Oh! Well, I am not sure about Shouta or Nine since we have yet to meet from my current perspective but your brother Ten calls me Dad.”
“Could I…?”
His Dad reached over to ruffle his hair. “Use whatever feels right, Tomura. Father, Dad, Papa, Old Man, or just my name, Hisashi. It is all up to what feels comfortable for you. I don’t really have a preference so long as if it is gendered you use a male form.”
Oboro tilted his head slightly from where he had been sitting with his head propped up on his hand. “Why the English form of father?”
His Dad shrugged and went back to mixing. “I can only assume that Ten is similarly bilingual to myself.”
Tomura scratched at his neck lightly in thought. “So when can I meet him and the others?”
His Dad gave a vague gesture. “That is up to your brothers though assuming you continue with your plan to lead an attack on UA’s class 1-A to get to All Might, you will be attacking your brother Shouta’s Homeroom class. Speaking of-” He stopped mixing again to meet Tomura’s gaze. “I am afraid I can’t let you borrow Gigantomachia for the attack after all with that revelation. There is too great of a chance of him accidentally revealing your brother’s identity as my son in front of the other Heroes and I would rather avoid that until I at least get to talk to him once. Don’t worry, Ten went to recruit an alternative last night as a way to make up for it.”
Tomura frowned and bit his lip. “Dad, do you think I should abandon that plan and rework it? I don’t… It is just feeling like more trouble than it is worth…”
His Dad gave him a soft bemused smile. “If you want to cancel you can cancel but just so you know, Ten does want you to go through with it since he has a surprise arranged for you during it that I promised I would not spoil. Additionally, he is fairly confident that Shouta will prioritize protecting his students over All Might so there is little concern there.”
Tomura nodded. “Can I think about it?”
“Of course. You have two more days to decide if you want to go through with it after all. Still, as Ten said, even if things go wrong, your brother being there should at least make this reveal of yourself as a new rising Villain group leader relatively safe for you. As will Oboro’s presence there.”
Tomura relaxed slightly before squaring his shoulders and nodding. “Okay. I can work with that.”
