Chapter Text
"Freshly roasted coffee beans" mean beans that have been allowed to rest for 1–3 weeks from date of roast.
***Don't worry too much if it's past 3 weeks***
Instructions
- Use 25g (a good handful) of beans per 200ml of water. Grind coffee while water boils. Coffee grinds should feel like powder but still slightly gritty.
- Place filter cone with filter paper on top of the cup. Flush a little hot water through filter, then discard it. This gets rid of unwanted flavour from the paper filter.
- Put the ground coffee into the filter, then pour a little hot water onto it. (Pre-infuse*)
- Keep adding water into the coffee. Avoid letting the coffee grounds to compact.
*Pre-infuse: if the coffee grounds are fresh, they will make a froth. The frothing effect will be flat if they're not fresh.
End of entry.
