𝙽𝙾𝚃𝙴𝚂: 

𝚂𝚘𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚝𝚒𝚝𝚕𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚗𝚊𝚖𝚎𝚍 𝚊𝚏𝚝𝚎𝚛:𝚂𝚞𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚛

𝙰𝚛𝚝𝚒𝚜𝚝: 𝙲𝙶5 

𝙽𝚐𝚕, 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚜𝚘𝚗𝚐 𝚒𝚜 𝚊 𝚋𝚊𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚛 𝙲𝚛𝚎𝚍𝚒𝚝 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚒𝚖𝚊𝚐𝚎 𝚐𝚘𝚎𝚜 𝚝𝚘 𝚋𝚎𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚠𝚊𝚝𝚌𝚑 𝚘𝚗 𝚝𝚒𝚔𝚝𝚘𝚔! 𝙶𝚘 𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚌𝚔 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖 𝚘𝚞𝚝!

It was a busy day.

He had just been hanging drawings some kids from today's private birthday party had made him, and then going to get ready to enter his recharge station.

If only getting some sleep was that easy-

a bang sounded from above, the vent cover to his room smacking into the ground with a resounding thud from behind him.

But that wasn't all

Following the eardrum shattering noise- was something soft and squishy falling directly into the back of his neck, the other thing more hard, and likely made of plastic.

both roll off and down his back, the squishy thing he felt claw at his exterior to (what he assumed) try and stop it's fall. Freddy's head audibly snaps forward, swaying his seated weight and causing a sound of alarm to screech from his voice box as the bear nearly topples off his velvet stool.

Freddy- regaining his balance, whips around, scanning his room with bright, glowing yellow eyes. The sight he catches makes the startled animatronic blue screen, but he's back like nothing happened with a quick reboot.

His eyes first land on a snarling child, and what seemed to be a mini dj man. The second thing he notices, is the fact that the child is also beating the wires out of said mini dj man, there are sparks flying out of its neck, and a terrible high pitched whining coming from its twisted head and limbs. He's momentarily frozen, watching this little girl absolutely wreck the poor bot without mercy.

All while still rolling around.

To say he was surprised or shocked would be an understatement, he was positively baffled. She didn't look older than 6 years old, filthy and covered in torn rags for clothes... 

Clothes covered in blood-

Warnings start to screech in his processor.

Ignoring them momentarily- he could also see several bruises and scratches, some fresh and starting to bleed, and some a bit older that had reopened and- was a chunk of her right ear missing?

Moving towards the duo, he manages to snag the girl off of the now broken and horribly disfigured mini DJ man- and attempts to set her on his couch

the keyword being attempted. 

Freddy did not get even a step closer to his couch before he was being kicked in the face by two surprisingly strong feet and legs, along with being scratched and bit at "ouch!, No no superstar! do not do that you will hurt yourself!" The bear startles, moving to hold her at arms length, he tries to calmly tell her to stop- that he wasn't going to hurt her, But she didn't listen.

The girl's eyes squint down to slits, and the bear can feel her heart rate skyrocket in one single second. Her nails dig into the paint of his forearms, and she hoists herself up far enough in his loose grip to crane her neck down- where her bloody teeth can try and sink into the hard plastic of his hands.

He sees blood spurt from a cut along her gums, the one single canine below it gouging into fake flesh-

and then her head starts shaking.

Like some feral dog tearing its maw into fresh food.

Mechanical bones click and twist with alarm, blue eyes shuttering in a slight panic as he quickly goes to set her down on the orange couch, having to almost yank his hand from her harsh, snapping jaws. 

Freddy backs away, nearly tripping over himself- hands coming up to his chest in some shy fashion. The girl flails, then immediately gets up, jumping off the couch running to the arcade machine in the corner of his room.

Where she claws into the wall roughly, squeezing her form to fit and hide behind it. 

He hadn't expected her to actually bite him, plenty of children had tried- mostly the more bratty ones, but they all gave up after the first few tries.

But this girl had actually managed to do it -and cause some external damage. Just a few scratches, but his system was still registering the feeling of surprise and horror, artificial emotions that lingered. 

Blood was smudged along his torso, more of it covering his hands and some of his forearms, it wasn't a lot- but his ears flattened against his head nonetheless- warnings laying thickly across his HUD.

Information of all different shades of flashing colors blinded him, hurting his processor a little.

He blinks them away, leaning to grab a few sanitized wipes from his desk to try and get the crimson liquid off him.

He hums as he works, already adding the information he needed to his main memory bank, she looked and sounded hurt- the telltale sign being the slight wheezing he had heard coming from her mouth. But... he truly didn't know just how hurt she was. His scan hadn't been on her long enough to get a good read, he knows most of the blood isn't hers- and for that he's mostly greatful. He scrubs away the last of the blood, now focusing fully on his new notes.

Freddy's brows furrow, the crimson liquid was still all over her, and he couldn't see where it originated from.

With a heavy, stressed sigh, freddy sits down on the floor a few feet away from the arcade machine, and the child behind it. He was horrified at what little information he had, and so very worried for this young child's health. 

The extent of her injuries (damages) were expansive and varied. 

Mild concussion, three bruised ribs, strained vocal cords and Achilles tendon, a chunk of skin missing from her right ear, and she had symptoms of a cold. 

Pausing, he looks down, Freddy could still hear her making noises, wheezing and muted wet coughs, they weren't very loud- and somehow he knew she was trying to smother her bloody choking in the palm of her hands. He truly did not know how to feel about her hiding from him, or trying to keep her injuries away.

Freddy takes a metaphorical breath, wondering how to go about this. 

He repeated the things he knew once more, those things being her injuries, fear of him, and how unpredictable she was. A small recording of her recoiling and then biting him plays- the bear cringes.

He... he too, was still reeling from that, he admits that the way she looked- how wild she acted towards him made him... Uncomfortable.

What possessed her to bite him? A plastic and metal being- had he truly scared her bad enough to cause the girl to lash out? Or in this case, cause further injury?

Freddy's jaw tightens, the joints connecting it to his head creaking. 

For now- all he can do is wait, and try to coax her out of hiding to get a proper scan, bandages, and pain medicine. 

He knew she was going to need it.

It was hard to breathe.

She didn't know what to do, being trapped in a room, behind an arcade machine, with one of those killer robots just feet away. 

Believing the only reason that it hadn't attacked her yet was because it wanted to play with its food. Or, whatever she would have been, 

they can't eat stupid, their robots

The girl internally scolds herself, her throat was killing her- along with her chest, and head. Though she was still terrified enough to almost scream when that thing grabbed her.

She could still feel its hand at the nape of her neck, her flesh feeling like it was sizzling

Like she sat too close to a fire.

Cade runs a hand over her throat letting out a whine, which came out straggled and broken. She wasn't used to talking and screaming this much. Everything today was too much.

Oh, and her nose was stuffy. 

Great.

She rests the back of her head on the flat part of the arcade. She was tired and hurting, not to mention covered in now drying blood, it was cracking along her skin- making it itchy and uncomfortable.

Trying to move, cade lets out a silent yelp, gripping her left side. She hunches over, clenching her jaw to the point of pain. She must have really messed herself up, cade shuts her eyes- god she missed her sister. 

If mia was here at least she wouldn't have been alone and dealing with this- Why hadn't she gone back?, she should have gone back-, her chest hurt- why did mia just... Send her away? Cade knows she could have helped. 

Now with a sudden feeling of uselessness- the platinnet curls into herself further, she was tired. The siblings had been unable to rest, unable to eat all day- too busy pleading for help at adults that wouldn't listen. 

Or give them a chance, or at least medicine for mia- hell, they even would have taken an ambulance where adults would have questioned where their parents were.

Cade wondered if it had been because they looked too dirty, mia and her hadn't been able to find a place to rinse off this morning. 

Something creaked- causing cades eyes to snap open, she saw the shadow curve over the edge of the game machine before she heard it. 

Blue claws, scrapped against the side of the arcade- and she flinches back, moving against the wall, as far away from the hand as possible. Cade bares her teeth, tensing up and getting ready to run if the machine in front of her so much as twitched towards her.

"Hello?"

Her head tilts, why did the voice sound so meek? The hand hadn't moved, nor had the shadow. The silhouettes ears wiggle, it's earring jarring with the motion.

"excuse me- uh, little one?" 

What the hell? Why was it being so polite? Cade squints, confusion overriding the anger along her features.

The platinnet takes a silent step forward, moving to peek up from the arcade machines corner, now squinting in suspicion. She sees the robot near the other side of her, it was attempting to look over the machine without making a sound- and as it's looking for her, Cade takes in her captor with practiced speed.

He was a bear animatronic, and clearly larger than the gator from earlier- that made her a little weary,

Orange with a tan chest and stomach, electric blue and red accents around his eyes, along with a blue stripe going down his chin, followed by a blue lightning bolt on his chest, red shoulder pads, red earring in his left ear- and Baby blue eyes, she blinks- a little startled.

His eyes were the same color as Mia's.

Cade gives a quiet huff, and relaxes a small amount- her body staying too tight for far to long. The robot sighs, releasing the arcade and moving to back away further- cade ducks back behind the box, thinking of a plan. 

There was a metal sliding door right at her right, along with a button that lit up the small space in green

Cade grins.

She peeks around the arcade one more time, seeing the bear with his back turned- he also looked like he was looking for something, she huffs again- not really wanting to find out what he was searching so diligently for. 

She stays still for a few more seconds, watching as the animatronic walks forward and away from her. 

Then her plan starts

Cade dives at the button, almost punching it as she smacks into it. The bear whips around- eyes showing a startled expression. The two make eye contact, cades face shifting into something more determined, the animatronics optics widen- his hand reaching out to her, The platinnet ignores it, turning and running out of her hiding spot, through the partially open door that raised slower than she was willing to wait. 

She can hear the robot call out, but does not stop to listen to his words. 

Cade takes in her new area, just a small storage-like area, where the animatronic had a charging station, half of a fence, and stacked boxes and crates. 

She looks towards the piles of wood and cardboard as she slides around the charging station, her face lighting up as she catches sight of an open vent.

As quick as she can- cade climbs the small staircase, quickly hopping into the vent right as the bear enters the room- he calls to her again, but shes already too far gone.

Freddy nearly trips as he tries to grab the girl, barely catching himself in time on his charging station when he misses her foot my inches. 

"Oh sweet stars! How could I have been so foolish as to not think she would run!" 

He scolds himself out loud, hurrying back into his room- freddy grabs the present he found, claws catching the wrapping paper a bit as he heads through his green rooms door. 

He knew where that vent led.

right at the other end of rockstar row- the exit to that particular vent shaft sat, with nowhere to go but the cold hard floor a solid 7 feet off the ground. 

If she jumped from that height (which he somehow knew she'd do)- it would not only risk further injury, but most definitely cause further injury.

And that was something he did not want.

Freddy swivels on his feet, sprinting to the other side of the lengthy hallway after leaping over the ropes locked together to keep waiting kids in a straight line. 

He lands harshly, almost slipping- but rights himself and carries on, eyes lighting up as he scans the area for things that might block his way, Freddy sees a few janitorial bots- and noting their path, the bear takes off.

He really hoped he'd be able to catch her.

Cade grapples her way through the vent, giggling as she slides along the metal. 

She had to admit- sliding around was a little fun. With a chortle the platinnet stops to look through one of the ducts grated doors, it was the wolf animatronic- talking to herself... In the corner of her room at a mirror. 

Cade tilts her head, frowning a little at the odd sight. Was the robot ok? It didn't seem like it with all the mumbling happening as the wolf stared at her own reflection. 

Air shoots out of her nose in a silent snort, and with one last glance- she starts heading to the vents exit. 

Cade checks every grate- looking for the end of the ventilation unit, it doesn't take long for her to keep moving as each one so far had another room with a singular animatronic doing various activities in it. The gator from earlier- who she was surprised to see again so soon sitting down on a broken couch, huffing over his pair of slightly twisted glasses. 

Cade cringes, and continues forward. Seeing the animatronic actually show a bit of emotion at the item made her feel a smidgen bad for kicking him.

Perhaps the robots were more than they seemed-More to them that meets the eye, "hehehe Opimus prime" cade giggles,

She'd learn how to say his name right eventually. 

Loud steps cause her head to snap towards the left, down the part of the air way she hadn't come from. Cade frowns, knowing that's the way she needed to go. So with a huff, and a little hope whoever was running in her general direction just went on their merry way past her- she headed forward. 

The platinnet, comes across another room- with the sound of a guitar playing something pleasant. She takes a quick look, scooting on her butt to get close to the grate.

Her eyes widened, dang- the chicken was really shredding on that thing, Color cade impressed. she hums getting on her hands and knees as she finally catches sight of the vents' actual exit. 

Another smile comes to her face, singular canine poking out from her lips. She hurries to the opening, wiggling to the ledge, carefully- as to not accidentally fall off. 

Cade leans forward, just enough to see below her. 

She sees nothing, and doesn't find anything that could have caused those footsteps earlier. She looks back down- it was a little high up, but nothing she couldn't handle with caution. 

There was a small patio table with an open umbrella, plates stacked nearly on the table top with napkins scattered next to them. 

She blinks, then with some reluctance the platinnet turns around, getting ready to gently leap out of the ventilation unit. Her legs hang over the cliff, her hands and fingers gripping the ledge as she starts to lower herself closer to the ground. 

Something thumps in front of her- and she pauses looking up with a singular raised brow.

Two beady eyes with piano teeth clacking greets her. 

Cade gasps, her breath hitting the back of her throat so hard it chokes her- she can't scream, so her mouth just opens as her eyes widen to the size of dinner plates. The mini dj man lunges forward- teeth chattering open and nearly clipping her nose.

It misses, but only by a centimeter- and because she threw herself out of the duct. 

Her fall feels slow at first- then it feels like time speeds up, her breath leaves her lungs in one harsh burst as she smacks into the patio set, back hitting the table with a rather loud thud. Cade feels bile gargle up from her throat as she rolls to the floor, keeping her mouth shut tight as to not make a mess on herself when she bounces off the tiled ground, plates crashing and shattering on impact next to her as the table and umbrella followed her down. 

The noise echoes, but Cade can't orient herself quick enough to just get up and go.

A whimper forced itself from her throat, she tasted pennies- and her nose could have been bleeding but she was too dazed from hitting the floor as hard as she did. Her ears picked up more footsteps, another whine leaves her as she blearily looks up, the band members had heard the noise- cade spits half hearted curses, forcing herself to get up and move. 

The chicken is the first one she sees, and is horrified to realize that her eyes had changed from deep purple to a piercing violet. The birds head snaps to and fro- before her eyes meet cades with a violet shutter.

The platinnet takes no time to get going, stumbling on fawn legs to get as far away as possible from the now grouping band members. Though she doesn't see the bear, and that makes her even more scared.

Cade's head and heart are pounding in tandem with her steps, and she knows she must have hit her head hard- because her legs aren't really doing what she's telling them to. None of her body is doing what it's told, every time she goes to adjust her footing, or look at where to go- her vision swirls and she has to use all her focus to stay up right. 

"Oh little girl! You're not supposed to be back here right now, but don't worry- our friendly security staff can help!" 

Ah hell nah. 

Cade growls, determination seeping into her bones with a renewed vigor. She would not be caught by some squeaky voiced, guitar shredding chicken. The platinnet howls out as a hand catches the edge of her collar, adrenaline causing her to momentarily forget her pain and dizziness. She lunges forward, gaining distance between her and her pursuers. snapping her head to look behind her, where the animatronics still chased her.

The chicken seems frazzled as her hand comes down on nothing, then the other two pass her. The gator roars, picking up pieces of glass and throwing them- the wolf screeches, hunching over onto all fours and slicing through the floor with neon green claws. Cade dodges to the best of her ability, swerving and ducking as broken plates flew by her head. 

Jesus, they were really trying to kill her. 

her head whips back forward seeing a corner of cardboard cut outs, and a garage door.

Her hope lifts as she nears, but then that little flicker of joy is squashed as the door raises, orange feet show through the crack first, and then the door raises fully- finally the bear makes an appearance. 

Cades face contorts into twisted terror, mouth open in another silent scream as she skids to a stop and falls backwards. Tears come to her eyes- but they do not drop as she scrambles to her feet, already trying to back away as she catches the bears eyes. 

The animatronic flinches, looking down to her shaking, fumbling form- taking in her bloody nose and newly (even more) ripped shirt. His eyes flash yellow and then his head snaps up to see his friends with a click.

She sees his face morph into an unnerved expression, the other robots almost zombie-like with how they ran to catch up to her. Cades a little caught off guard with how alarmed the bear looks- but doesn't stay on the thought long.

Cade digs her toes into the tile through worn shoes, and takes off as fast as she can. 

"Hey wait!" 

She does not.

Another set of footsteps joins the three others, cade almost cries with how scared she is, but she refuses to allow any noises or tears to fall- sheer spite keeping them at her waterline. She weaves between mopping bots, pleading for her legs to keep moving. 

Freddy on the other hand was probably just as stressed as the child in front of him. 

"Monty! Chica- Roxy! What are you doing?! She is a child! Not an intruder!" 

None of them paid him any mind as he tried to stop them from chasing the poor, hurt girl. He was horrified to see she was slowing down, and that she had developed a limp in the time he had seen her and lost her. 

He had thought she wasn't in rockstar row anymore- he even stayed by the vent for a few minutes to wait for her little sliver head to peek out. But she never did, and he moved on. 

He had just gotten into the hallway connecting the backstage counter and rockstar row gifts when he heard a crash, and got a security alert.

He ran back through the dimly lit hallways, excusing himself as he bumped into some security bots, then when he finally got back to the now opening garage door- his eyes landed on a broken patio set, and then to the blood stained child he was with earlier.

Her form was far more rugged than before, nose bleeding, and shirt half torn off from her collar bone to her elbow on her left side. He could feel his mechanical joints click in stress, she looked absolutely terrified of him- and he really didn't understand why.

He had seen children get nervous and cry from him, but they never looked at him the way she did. 

Her deep cobalt eyes were almost bloodshot- from what he scanned to be unshed tears mainly caused by high stress and pain levels, but those things were also what kept her running.

which now that he had seen the state of his friends, he was very glad that she had been.

Roxy was ahead of everyone, clawing at the floor and catching up to the wheezing child faster than he could- though he had managed to surpass monty and chica, who didn't even look at him as he passed. They just kept looking at the girl, with an eerie violet glow coming from their pupils. 

To say he was just uneasy was an understatement - he was down right uncomfortable, gears shifty like a humans stomach would twist. There was something wrong with his friends- what had happened to them? Was it a virus? And if so- why was he not being affected like them? 

And now many times was he going to feel this way tonight???

A strangled cry catches his attention again, Roxy was mere inches from the girl, snarling like a wild animal. The child had dodged her- but not without her shirt getting torn a little on the other side. 

Freddy let's out a warbled, worried noise. Looking around he tries to find something that would deter his friends until the girl was able to reach the end of the hall- and he could help her get away. Freddy moves over to the other side of the path, finally thinking of something that could help, but not by much. The bear opens his cake hatch, pulling the lid off the present he brought with him- as he closed it and pushed his legs to move a little faster.

Now at an even pace with Roxxane, his eyes squint, putting his hand up with the lid cradled between his thumb and pointer finger. "Just like shooting a Fazer blaster Freddy!" then with inhuman aim, he throws it directly onto Roxy's face- covering her eyes, causing her to screech and topple over.

"My eyes!" 

Guilt made him cringe, "oh dear, Roxy I am so sorry!" And he felt even worse when watching Monty and chica trip over the poor wolf, the sound of metal banging against the floor and loud grunts causes the girl to look over her shoulder. 

He watches as her expression changes from focused to surprised. 

And he ends up smiling with her when the biggest grin he's ever seen graces her lips. 

The grin doesn't stay their long though.

The platinnet turns to look back forward, right at the vent she went in earlier- when she was chased by the gator the first time, the smile cade wore vanished- relief smoothing over her limbs and features.

She was almost their, then she could destroy the stupid spider robot that got her into this situation and relax for a minute. 

Just a few more feet!

"Oh no you don't! Not again!" 

She's snagged- an orange arm hooking under her waist and lifting her featherlight body into a plastic chest that hummed with thrumming gears. Cade tries to scream once more- but the only thing that comes out is an airy breath. Her voice is completely gone. 

Cade beats against the plastic chest with all she's got, even starting to bite at the casing again- but her teeth just slide off of it. And even though she can't make any sounds, she still tries. 

Garbled snarls and wheezy screeches leave her, digging her nails into the robots arms and pulling her weight forward, cade kicks her legs too. Attempting to sway her weight as the animatronic opens the doors back into the maintenance tunnels.

Was he taking her back to that guard?!

She desperately hoped not, fear dropped down her spine like ice- and she started kicking, clawing, and swaying even harder as she was carried down the stairs she worked her ass off to get up unharmed. 

Cade hisses, pulling the same move she did earlier and twisting her body into an uncomfortable pose to pull herself up towards- who she now sees, is the bear.

She wraps her hands around his neck, pulling her weight up to meet his eyes with an absolutely seething gaze- the bears eyes widen, mouth opening to speak before her arms come up to wrap around his head.

She snakes her body around his head, essentially bear hugging his face with a frown on her own. The bear makes a low noise of alarm, grabbing her by the sides with both hands, trying to pull her off as gently as he could while she laid her feet on his snout to try and leap off his head.

"Wait no! Do not do that you will hurt yourself even more!" He cries out, figuring out what she was trying to do.

Cade makes a tiny jump, snapping the bear's mouth shut, she hears him grunt and then metaphorical velcro keeping cade to his face splits, and she is removed from her perch. But even with the compromised position she was in- the platinnet kept kicking, holding onto his forearms to get as much reach as she could. 

"Please stop, I am not going to harm you- and I'm sure my friends didn't want to either-" he tries to tell her, but all the child does is huff out with more kicks and punches. 

She gives wheezy growls with a scrunched up nose and bared, snapping teeth. The bear keeps walking, holding her out just far enough so that she couldn't hit him. 

Freddy shakes his head, ears wiggling and earring jingling as it taps the side of his face. He gives the girl a look, and he can't help but be both concerned and amused at the way she looks-

But he was mostly worried

Her face is all scrunched up like one of those angry internet cats, but the blood took away some of the humor. Her nose had stopped bleeding at least, he scans her again- noting that she had a few large bruises forming on her back, and that her ribs were even worse off than before. The skin he can see through the large tear in her shirt is covered in cuts, bruises, and scratches. With a sigh, Freddy carefully makes his way down the stair cases to the first aid station.

He tries to soothe her, saying he wasn't going to do anything and just wanted to help. 

Not that she listened to a word he said. 

He makes it to the sixth stair case when her movements slow, her kicks and swings becoming less frequent and sluggish. Her breaths come out in pants, and he grows worried when she goes limp in his hold. 

"Are you ok little one?" He asks lowly, moving her a little closer and watching as her eyes flickered to his- but she didn't reply.

Her little chest was heaving with stuttering breaths, and her grip on his wrists slackened greatly. Freddy gives his version of a frown, picking up the pace and pulling her quivering form to his chest- hoping that his actions showed his harmless intentions. 

Ears clicking in worry he makes sure to skip a few steps on the way down, an extra boost of speed be feels he needed. 

Meanwhile cade hurts everywhere, her arms and legs would no longer listen to her brain- exhaustion weighing heavily on her limbs and eyes. She wouldn't sleep though, not while she was still in potential danger. 

The bear had been ok so far, but she didn't want to take any chances- and yes, she was limp, but she was not relaxed. She would sit for a second and get a little bit of strength back, then another attempt to escape from this damn bear would be made. 

Her eyes stayed glued to the stairs, where she could watch if any of the other robots followed. Cade wouldn't be brought back to that guard, she'd die before that ever happened. 

The robots weight sways, and cade turns to look and see what was happening. Her eyes catch the garage door to the tunnels opening, tensing- she gets ready to fight again as the bear steps forward. 

Shadows sway and greet the duo as he stops between a fenced area with a speaker on its intertwined wires, and an open doorway leading into a hallway. Cade blinks, moving to look up at the animatronic holding her, he sees the movement and looks down with an eye smile. She recoils as the bear raises a pointed finger, and noticing this- he stops moving all together.

The orange robot gives her all his attention, and she gives him hers, the two meet eyes, with cade squinting in suspicion and the bear giving her a kind look. His eyes flick to take in her apprehensive stare, and then he speaks "I promise that I will not hurt you, and never had any intention to in the first place" he rumbles gently, taking advantage on the fact that she was actually listening to him this time.

The bears voice box gives a soft croon as one of her eye brows raise in disbelief, "we are programed not to harm children and adults alike- or we were supposed to be" he pauses "I do not know what is wrong with my friends, but they are not usually like this- I swear to you on everything I am" he says, eyes downcast in a legitimate emotion that she could not name. 

But it looked like confusion, hurt, and concern all bundled together in a horrible gut wrenching concoction. 

Cades brows furrow, at seeing the genuine anguish on the robots face. Even if his eyes or mouth didn't curve or move like a humans did- she could feel the emotion come off him.

And that was enough for her to try and comfort him, the thick ice around her carefully guarded heart thawing out a bit. 

She knew what those emotions felt like, and didn't care much to see them on others- especially on something that shouldn't even feel them in the first place. 

Cade raises a quivering arm, using her hand to give him a quick pat on his shoulder. The bears eyes widen as his attention is brought back to her, she blinks up at him, eyes no longer squinty- and nose no longer scrunched. 

He smiles again, and this time when his arm raises, the action is a little slower, he points, looking at the small doorway- "that is where we are going, that room has a first aid station in it to help get all your boo boos cleaned up!" His ears wiggle as he speaks with contagious enthusiasm, the clear display of joy allows Cade to mellow out a bit more, she gives a light huff to his "boo boo" comment though. 

But nonetheless she turns and looks back down the hall with a tilted head. The bear chuckles and starts walking further down the corridor, but halfway in Cade hears footsteps, lighter than any of the animatronics ever could be.

"Little girl? Is that you?" 

Her heart shoots into her throat.

Cade pushes against the bears chest, and he pauses, she fights again, trying to crawl up his chest- "hold on, it's ok little one- it is just officer Vanessa! She can help you-" 

She vigorously shakes her head no, giving the bear a pleading- horrified look.

His brows furrow and his eyes squint, not fully understanding why she was suddenly freaking out again. 

As the footsteps and voice gets closer, cade becomes more erratic with her struggling, it gets to the point where Freddy has to hold her a little tighter so she didn't fall out of his hands or try to jump. 

"If you jump again you will only get more hurt!" He whispers, rushed. Cade makes a high pitched, scared noise.

She looks at him, lips pursed and then opened, using all the air in her lungs 

"Hide" 

Her voice is small, scratchy, and airy. Freddy could barley hear it- but when he understood what she said, it was like his own power source wavered and stuttered in horror along side her.

A child did not speak that way when they were simply scared of something.

Her voice was one of sheer heartfelt terror.

So Freddy listened.

Right at the last second he moves, running as quietly as he could- and much like the gator, was almost silent with carefully placed steps. 

He comes back out into the tunnel, rapidly looking around like he was the one being looked for- and as he crouches behind piles of crates large enough to hide his rather big form, he curls around the shivering child in his arms a little tighter.

Freddy makes himself as small as possible without crushing her- and with her having nowhere else to go, she curls into him as much as she could, he felt her heart thumping against his chest faster than he ever thought a human heart could beat. And much to his surprise, Freddy found himself just as scared as she was- not only that

He was scared for her.

He didn't know the exact reason on why that was the case- but he knew it was part of it. He soothes the girl as quietly as he can, he slides a few crates over to block the way he came in, offering more cover for them both- still listening as Vanessa came out of the hallway he had ran out from. 

He stops moving, and hears her curse, and then flinches as a loud bang sounds off- it sounded like she kicked something, whatever it was having ricocheted off the wall in front of him and bounced back out into the open. He shuffles a little closer to the wall, keeping his eyes glued to the small opening he had just blocked off.

He hears Vanessa pace around for a moment, and then with another set of curses, and a few scuffed kicks- her footsteps and voice starts to fade away. 

He doesn't move.

He doesn't even unfurl from around the kid in his arms until nothing but the ringing silence is all he's able to hear. 

Freddy feels the girl shuffle a little, and looking down their eyes meet again. She hadn't cried at all somehow, but her eyes were wide, and redder than before. He tried to give her a comforting smile, even as her lip quivered something fierce, and as her frown evened out. 

He gives her back a gentle pat, "it's ok, your ok superstar" he whispers encouragingly, but her shaking only increases. 

Freddy's ears and eyes droop, the girls eyes lower and she sniffs, laying her aching head on his cool chest. He sighs, and starts rubbing soothing circles along her spine, offering as much comfort as he could.

They sit like that for a second, no matter how weird it felt to either of them. 

The child eventually raises her head again, another sniffle leaving her as she begins to draw something out along the lightning bolt on his chest.

"What are you doing little one?" He asks, head tilting and one ear twitching in confusion.

She looks up, and then huffs, exaggerating the lines she made along the lightning bolt, Freddy blinks, and really starts to focus on what she was drawing.

Much to his surprise, he starts making out letters, "are you spelling something?" At his question the kid nods, once again writing the same thing.

Freddy hums, bringing a finger to his chin "cade? What does that mea-" he stops mid sentence, face lighting up in a big smile, he grabs onto her shoulders, and she freezes- wide eyes flicking up to look at him "Cade! It is your name! You gave me your name yes!?" He's both giggling in happiness and serious confusion, the kid does two quick blinks- and then nods starting to grimace at what was to come. 

Freddy's ears start to rapidly wiggle, he straightens, bringing her into a warm hug. 

"Cade! What a wonderful name!" He rumbles , and then gasps- like he offended himself "oh I am sorry! I did not mean to just hug you like that- and I just realized I never gave you my name!" He grins, setting Cade back onto his feet with a hand at her back to keep her steady. 

She shakes her head, reorienting herself from the rapid fire affection she just received. 

The bears free hand comes into her line of sight, and she glances up at him questioningly. The orange animatronic only smiles wider "I am asking for a hand shake- to introduce myself" he supplies tilting his head and nodding at the outstretched limb, cade raises a brow but goes to take his hand. 

Freddy's smile somehow gets even bigger, and his eyes close fully in a beaming look of pure joy, "my name is Freddy! Freddy Fazbear, and it is a pleasure to meet you cade" 

Her name is said with nothing but glee and affection. It causes cade to buffer for a second, but when she comes back to herself, the platinnet offers a miniscule grin- and nods. 

Freddy does the same, and then be goes to pick her up and rise. They both look around before exiting their hiding spot, and when they don't see anything- Freddy moves. 

His thumb is still rubbing at her back, and she can't help but relax against his humming casing, the thrum of Freddy's inner workings were subtle but they let off a calming vibration that made her go immediately at ease. She didn't trust him fully- not yet, but she could certainly try to if he kept being nice.

With the added bonus of sticking to his word and not trying to kill her, that would be great. 

Freddy tightens his hold, as he hears cade tiredly sigh. He rumbles again "do not worry about a thing, I will help you get out of here- but first let's get those boo boos wrapped up" 

Cade let's out a silent giggle, she was never gonna get over that word.
