Awakening is a subject I rarely hear talked about - which is strange considering its the main realisation of therianthropy. The few times I have heard it talked about its either this amazing magical experience of finally finding yourself - or it’s this stressful mess of emotions where ‘the animal wants to break’ - (you may have watched wolfblood when you were 9 but you don’t need to be as dramatic as Maddy - chill)
I had none of this - I was literally sitting down at my desk sketching, remembering that time a few years ago when I questioned therianthropy and thought yeah I am a therian, thought a bit more and forgot about it for a week.
My point is it was so severely underwhelming - that I now think this disappointing first experience with therianthropy is more common than I first believed - and why people don’t share their experiences as much as you would expect.
I honestly don’t have much to say here apart from that - I wouldn’t expect a lot from awakening - if you’re questioning if you are therian and you then turn out to identify with that - that minute of thinking will probably be your awakening.
