The battle against mars in the dungeon seemly was not ending anytime soon for asta and his black bull teammates alongside the golden dawn members as Mars frees himself and storms the treasury, trapping most of the male members with his diamond magic leaving Asta who rushes forward but is knocked through a wall
Nero followed him through the wall hinting at a rust filled sword. Asta tries to find out if it is the solution for his problem. Outside, Mars begins to recollect his memories with a girl, Fana, when they were still undergoing the Diamond Kingdom's experiment
Meanwhile, seeing that Noelle Silva is gravely injured, Mimosa Vermillion desperately tries to heal her with her finest healing spell. At the same time she also begins to recollect her childhood memories spent with Noelle. However, Mimosa's act does not go unnoticed as Mars quickly shifts his attention to her. Unfortunately, Klaus Lunettes, Luck Voltia, and Yuno are trapped within crystal structures and unable to use their grimoires. Mars then launches several attacks as he is trying to finish Noelle
Fortunately, Asta quickly steps in and protects the two royals from the incoming attack with his newfound sword. The fight restarts with Asta finally able to land an attack but Mars' healing spell is prolonging the battle. Noelle finally wakes up and immediately tells Asta to finish the fight as soon as possible. Asta accepts her request and a stream of water suddenly appears as he tries to slash Mars' incoming attacks
Mars and Asta attack each other once more Asta's sword swing releases another blade of water hitting and extinguishes Mars flames.
The joy of crippling mars doesn't register as Asta collapses because one of Mars Harpes puncturing his stomach.
After Asta collapses, Noelle Silva orders Mimosa Vermillion to go heal Asta instead. Mars, who was not defeated by Asta's attack, stands back up. Seeing Mimosa healing Asta, Mars is reminded of the Diamond Kingdom's experiments, where he befriended fellow student Fana and was forced to kill her.
Angered, Mars creates another Laevateinn and brings it down on Mimosa and Asta. Klaus, Yuno and Luck struggle to free themselves from their crystal restraints. In a burst of strength, Yuno manages to break free but then panics as he does not have a spell to stop the giant sword in time.
Suddenly, time slows down and Yuno notices a small girl next to him. She yawns and then blows a gust of wind, which shatters Mars' spells and slams him into a wall, defeating him. The others are confused as to what just happened. Asta's new sword then disappears into his grimoire, triggering the collapse of the dungeon.
Yuno creates a Heavenly Wind Ark and the Magic Knights gather on it. Asta pleads for them to take Mars, too, but the ceiling collapses and buries the Mage Warrior. Under Luck's direction, the ark reaches the surface
"sorry to break up the happy moment" a voice reaches the two squads while bantering amongst each other
"who are you and what do you want!?" klaus question while taking up a defensive stance
"YOU LOOKING FOR A FIGHT HUH!?" Asta shouts with energy despite his bad condition
"I was sent here by the coward lotus who already escaped, tch" the man stares at the group putting everyone on edge
"he is alone, we should be able to defeat him" Noelle exclaims with her usual conceited tone
"no this guy is stronger than that Mars guy i can feel it" luck informs with a joyful grin
"ho, your instincts are a cut above the rest you just simply can't win" after the statement the mage opens his grimoire to create a forest around the mages trapping them in a enclosed space
"wood magic?" yuno questions causing mimosa to nod "it's very durable and dense, defeating him is going to be a hard task"
"it's already out of question he is beyond anyone here, defeating him equals to defeating a magic knight captain he is charlton lookwood" Klaus informs crashing any hope they had to vanish
"I'm not going to giv-" Asta is cut short by Klaus
"I already know that even when the odds are well and truly against us we shouldn't roll over, that's what I have learned from you boys" he embraces both yuno and asta
"I was wrong about you two, titles mean nothing in battle and once we all put on these robes we are all equals. I want to see you two reach your dreams so let's win and go home"
"that was never in question" yuno states before casting a attack on the mini forest. "I won't die until I become the wizard king" yuno finishes
Despite his efforts the destroyed branches and trees regenerated quickly. The whole group start attacking the trees only resulting in the same thing
"we can't escape" Noelle says losing hope
"hahaha, we going to die here" luck grins
"LUCK!" Noelle attacks the lightning user for his dark humor in a comical fashion
"both of you stop" Klaus muses
"Asta your anti magic does the most damage so why don't you try to use both swords for more damage" Klaus asks
"ah i see the more damage done the slower the regeneration" mimosa supplies getting a nod from both yuno and Klaus
"yosh here I come" Astas attack is also futile
"the anti magic kills the trees completely but he regrows them so quick it makes anti magic useless" yuno says
"what do we do then?" Noelle questions
"we should attack it alongside asta to overwhelm him" Klaus informs. The plan they use goes successfully helping them escape the forest prison
The first thing they are met with is Charlton slow clapping "congratulations you escaped and wasted your mana"
"I admire your resilience, despite the clear gap in power you all look unshakable. Brilliant"
"tch this guy is too cocky" Asta grumbles
"he literally a part of the eight shining generals idiot, that's like fighting a vice captain or a captain" Noelle says sighing at Asta's antics
Clutching his fist he draws his blade in preparation
"yo" a new voice enters the field causing everyone to shift their attention to a carefree teenager dressed in a red robe with a compass symbol as the badge
"ohh this is the first time seeing yamis crew hehe"
"who is he?" Noelle questions drawing blanks among the group
"he looks fun, I wonder if he wants to fight" luck says feeling joy despite their dire situation
"this is bad hopefully he is not a enemy, what is his relation with the black bulls captain?" Klaus frets 'where have i seen this man' Klaus asks himself feeling like he was forgetting important information
"ENOUGH OF ALL THIS, LET'S FINISH IT!!" the diamond kingdom mage shouts as he unleashes a wide range attack of tree roots at the group
In a instant a light wave with star shapes in it destroy all the roots Saving the group who were running low on stamina and mana
"he destroyed the attack with no effort" mimosa utters in disbelief With Noelle mumbling about how much the situation was getting out of hand
"how?" Charlton questions in shock
"shishi it was me" the stranger states jumping in front of the group to fight the wood user
"light magic is rare, you would be about the fourth person in history with such magic" Charlton states
"that sounds like a big deal" Asta mutters
"it is, I have seen this man before but this is the first timing seeing him clearly, I know who he is" every one perks up at Klaus statement "is he a adversary?" yuno asks the question on everyone's mind except the nonchalant luck and awestruck Asta
"thankfully no, he is a clover kingdom magic knight captain" Klaus says causing a uproar
"what!?, I've never seen him before!" Noelle shouts
"Wow that is cool, he must be strong"
"he looks younger than captain rill"
"you have never seen him before because he was recently given the status after receiving his grimoire at 15 years of age, truly a monster among monsters"
"that's impossible such a thing has never happened before"
"he is a special case even more than rill this teenager luna kira has already claimed a title as prodigious as the future wizard king" this statement causes both Asta and yuno to clutch their hands in jealousy a feeling both felt in waves at this information
"I'LL SURPASS HIM AND BECOME THE NEXT WIZARD KING"
"idiot I'll be doing that before you do"
"ho so you want the old man's title?, are you ready to die for it. Words mean nothing without action and I will prove it with my actions" luna smirks opening his four leaf clover grimoire
"light magic : gatling gun" he unleashes balls of light towards the enemy who quickly creates a wood barricade to protect him but it's all for nought as luffy stops the balls before they coilde with the barricade
"light magic : clone party" the balls of light transform into luffy light clones before punching the barricade to destroy it and attack the mage who quickly forms a giant beanstalk under him to escape but his plan fails as the clones burn the growing beanstalk
"these things are a bother let's kill them "wood magic : root unfurl" the falling beanstalk burst out in roots that catch the clones off guard destroying almost all except one that reaches and punches Charlton to the ground
"your strong, with a few attacks you have me on the ropes" he mutters sending more roots that are destroyed by the same light blast
"Wood magic : jack beanstalk" he creates another beanstalk that he uses to shot a never ending amount of wood projectiles that Luna weaves and destroy as he Flys to reach the beanstalk
"I got you" Charlton mutters watching as a part of the beanstalk transformed into a ball that engulfs the flying teen "compress" he utters as the ball compresses itself until it becomes a small diamond
"I win"
"what do you mean I'm behind you" Luna says punching the unguarded Charlton off the beanstalk again. He doesn't give him a break as he shots lasers from five of his fingers at the airborn foe Making him create a crater when he crashes
"what the fuck was even that, you are cheating" Charlton screams nursing his injured body
Luna shrugs "it's pretty cool so I tried it" everyone comical sweat dropped at his childish behavior
"no matter this attack will finish this" wood magic : forest gump" the spell creates a speeding forest wave that made giant towers blush
"Wow this is so cool let me do something cool too" Luna jumps like a child
"light magic : Zweihänder" Luna creates a 10 feet light sword that turns black and starts sparkling with red and black lightning indicating the usage of both armament and Conqueror's Haki, he swings the sword creating a explosion that destroyed the whole area and sent the group flying away despite how far they were from the attack
Charlton was burnt and barely clinging onto life even when he used multiple barricades to protect himself
"shishishi i overdid it" Luna states before shrugging
