Chapter Text
Drifting through space while being eaten by a bug wasn't as horrifying as he had originally expected. Sure the bites being taken out of him were annoying, but Alex was still a god, and he could handle pain pretty well. In fact, the pain eventually ebbed away, leaving Alex feeling something much more horrible, the very thing that had driven him to seek out and kill multiple Morgans, and had lead him to living with one for nearly half a month.
Boredom had taken over Alex's excisitance once again. His body was becoming a prison, but all prisons could be escaped. That's what Morgan had taught him...
Astral projection wasn't a power he'd ever thing would come in handy, aside from killing ghosts that is, but it did allow Alex to wanted the non-physical plane.
This in-between plane was where the layers of the universe connected, where Alex could travel between realms and the afterlife. This is how he was able to destroy and conquer those realms in his universe, and because the Main Universe's Alex hadn't fully figured out how to travel to the in-between, Alex could take refugee here, until he figured out a way to get back to his in universe.
Drifting up, Alex begun to explore the afterlifes in this universe. They weren't that different from the ones in his universe, he had even meet and made friends with gods and creatures he had killed in his universe.
He was still stronger than these new friends but sparing and drinking with them had brought some fun into his boring life.
"Common Alexander, don't be a tease! Tell me your type so I can hook you up!" Eros cheered, drunk off of the Golden Apple Wine Loki had brought to this little get together. Alex had started going by Alexander, trying to differentiate himself from the Main Alex.
"I told you," Alex began, "I don't really have a type-"
"Everyone's got a type," Loki interupted.
"Well not me, besides I've only 'dated' one guy, if that even counts." Alex takes another swig from his wine glass, not wanting to be sober when he inevitably had this conversation.
"Hey if it counts when Zeus does that, it counts for you too." Eros argues. Alex had been honest about his past with his new friends a d they had excepted him easily. It probably helped that their respective pantheons weren't exactly pure and innocent.
"So Alexander," Loki leans in close as if to tell a secret, "I visited Satan recently-"
"You mean you fucked Satan recently!" Eros giggles.
"Fuck off!" Loki curses at the god of love before turning back to Alex. "And I swear I saw your little boy-toy down there."
"Morgan?" Alex hated when Loki would reduce Morgan down to that name. He still felt some shame for looking down on the best person he had ever met. "You saw Morgan in hell?"
"Yeah, looked really right at home there too, was a little weird given how you talked about him but..." Alex stop paying attention to Lokis drunken ramblings.
Morgan was in hell... Morgan had died? And Main Alex had allowed this! A part of Alex wanted to regrow an entirely new body just to beat up Main Alex for allowing this, but a smarter part him was oddly grateful.
This could be his chance to see Morgan again, tell him how much he ment to Alex, apologize for deceiving him for those two weeks, and maybe even seeing if they could start over and get to know each other, the right way.
Without another word, Alex teleported to hell and began to look around for Morgan, being careful so as to avoid running into the Main Alex incase he had followed Morgan into the afterlife somehow.
After search for hours, Alex saw a familiar face near the falling river of lava. Morgan practically glowed from the light of the lava.
Alex, without much thought, ran up to Morgan and embraces him.
"Umm... can I help you?" Morgan asks in confusion.
"Morgan it's me! I'm the Alex from another universe." Alex excitedly informed.
"Oh yeah," Morgan than embraced Alex back. "The one who came to kill me but ended up hanging around for a couple of weeks "
Alex was too excited to question why Morgan was so accepting, he told himself it was because he still cared for Alex regardless of the circumstances of their interactions.
"Yeah," Morgan gentle breaks the hug, "I should let you know, I'm not the... real? Morgan."
Alex looks confused at this, he looks just like the Morgan he remembered, and he acted like him too. "But-"
"Yeah, I'm a clone. An evil clone." Morgan says nonchalantly. "Tried to kill the original with a booby trap and got caught in it myself."
It took a moment to process all of that. This was an evil clone of Morgan.... he could work with that.
"Well, Evil Morgan, how would you like to ditch this place and come have a drink with me?" Alex flirts.
"I'd love that. This place is nice and all, screams of the damned is surprisingly soothing to me, but I wouldn't mind spending sometime with another Alex." Evil Morgan than took Alex's hand and Alex transported the two to his universe. It had taken quite a bit of power to not only teleport them to an entirely different universe, but also give them both filly formed bodies.
From there the two got to know each other for who they were independent from the Main universe.
