Hi all, I've decided to shake things up and rework this piece as a Marble Hornets fic with OCs, rather than a crossover fic with Mandela Catalogue.
I'm honestly pretty excited about this - it gives me a lot more leeway to play with character backgrounds, world building, and building more consistency all around. There will be some changes made in this new work - primarily character names and world building - but I will be keeping a number of emotional beats from my original draft.
If you're here primarily for the Marble Hornets side of things - there will be basically no changes. For readers more interested in the Mandela Catalogue characters - although the new OCs do have different names and non-identical backstories, their dynamics will likely be familiar, and they will still be dealing with questions of loss and identity. I won't say they're the same with different names, as they're not. But I have focused on the interpersonal dynamics that originally drew me to the Mandela Catalogue characters, so I hope they'll also appeal to other people who enjoyed those characters as well.
I've already posted the first chapter of the updated version on my account: The Gaps Between Now and Then. I've also been revising and updating the other chapters from this work, and they should be posted pretty soon.
