They sit on the couch. It's quiet at first but quickly Steph starts talking.
"How dare you leave me! You don't have how much I missed you!" She hugs him and a tear falls down her cheek. "You dork! I-"
"Hey it's okay Steph" Pete hugs her back "It was only like two or three days." He wipes the tear away and kisses her. Grace jump behind Steph and pulls her away.
Steph looks at her with disappointment. "The hell Grace!" He had never kissed her- she didn't even know what he felt about her after the whole summoning fucking gods! It felt nice.
"I am not going to spending my last days watching sin go down! I am so hecking not letting you two go to" She whispers " H E- double crosses!" Pete smirked for a second before it faded away and he stood up.
"So..What was it like?" Steph asked a little nervously. Pete looks confused. "What was what like?" Did he not remember? Did he realize a weird-ass goat-God-Demon was using his body as a puppet? "You know, that thing that took over you?"
He suddenly had a 'oh shit' look on his face before looking down at the ground. Steph stood up putting a hand on his shoulder. "Well- I don't remember a lot, lots of yellow...and clocks. He offered me a deal and I took it in the heat of the moment. It felt really good when I can remember it. Felt like I wanted to share that joy I felt. Like how I felt the first time I saw you Steph"
Steph turned red. Since when did the nerd actually be able to talk about feelings without ignoring it and really really shitty flirting. It was kinda hot.
"PETER! Did you not listen to a word I said! For someone who was named after one of the lords disciples you aren't respecting his word." Pete gave Grace a puzzling look. "I wasn't named after anyone in the bible-" Grace walks close to him. "Who other Peter is great enough to get named after."
...
"Peter Parker.."
..
"Spider man- spider man- does whatever a spider can-" Pete somehow says all of this a straight face much to Steph's surprise. She started giggling quietly. Grace looked like he just said that the devil was going to curse her family.
Which wasn't completely wrong. Webby described those things as gods. She told them that they were very hard to stop. But they just got Pete back? Huh..
"Grace why do you even care anymore, the gods of the world have been shown to be evil!" She meant to say that in her head but it accidentally came out. Grace gasped and stormed to the other side of the room.
"I'm going to go find Webby and them. Can you stay here and make sure this one doesn't do anything." Pete nods as Steph leave the room.
How dare they! God would never do anything evil. Well to her atleast. She never sinned, why should she get punished by the lord. She starts praying. "Oh lord, please tell me what to do, I will follow your guidance. I know you are good. Please send something, someone, show me a sign you are good!"
"God can help you with that." She didn't see Pete slowly walk back up behind her. She jumped. "Don't sneak up on a girl well she's praying it's wrong!" She stood up and walked to him. She looked at his eyes and a small yellow grow. With this weird grin on his face.
Grace looks at him with an angry confused look. "My bad, anyway. I don't think god is evil." He chuckled. "In fact.." his eyes turn fully yellow. "I believe they know wants best for us. Especially you Grace.."
She knows what she should do. She should punch him and go tell the others but after Steph's comment maybe she should hear him out.
"They just want to hep you Grace, god has a plan for you!"
"Deal."
Pete looked up surprised. "Wait. Really, you're going to agree that quickly?" She nodded. "Well okay! That makes this job a lot easier!"
"This is why I choose you."
Blinky teleports in front of the two.
