Chapter Text
The rain was now much heavier than before, but it only added a gentle melody to their comfortable, domestic night in.
“And that’s it. The Seven Kiss Theory, created by yours truly”, Pac sounded both very proud of himself and very silly. “I think if you go through all these, you can tell a lot about your relationship with anyone.”
“Yeah, right”, Fit raised an eyebrow, as he sat down on the couch. “You just didn’t take one thing into consideration”
“Really? And what is it?”
“Frankly, Pac, you’re an engineer and a chemist and yet you can’t count to seven?”
Pac stopped, sitting by his side with a confused expression, and then he started counting on his fingers and muttering to himself. When he pulled the sixth finger, his eyes grew wider, and his mouth became a circle.
“Oh. Yeah, that might have been an oversight on my part, yes.”
“You’re a clown”, Fit laughed, playfully punching the other’s arm. “Still… what I said before remains. I wanna test them all with you. With time, of course.”
“Yeah, that would be cool”, Pac smiled. “And in any case, thank you for listening to my theory.”
“Anytime, love. Now… I think it’s getting late and tomorrow will be a long day. Shall we go to bed? I don’t think sleeping on the couch will be very nice to my back. Or yours.”
Pac nodded, and Fit stood up, but didn’t go far because before he even managed to completely stand up, he felt something pulling him back. He noticed for a fraction of second the other’s hand around his wrist, pulling him back to the couch and against him, in a quick surprise kiss that caught him completely off guard.
“And here’s the seventh”, Pac whispered, a teasing tone in his voice. “The one you don’t see coming.”
“You did this on purpose too”, Fit whispered back. “You’re always full of surprises, aren’t you?”
“Well, surprises are the spice of life. And I know you like mine.”
Fit couldn’t go against that logic, and instead, since he was back on the couch anyway, he just kissed him again. And again. He did say he wanted to practice that theory, didn’t he? No better moment to start them now.
And they had all the time in the world to practice. Those seven kisses, and many, many others they’d discover along the way.
