Chapter Text
“So the day my headache is gone is the day he died,” Malleus murmured as Lilia explained more about the curse, “....I don’t know how to feel about that.”
“Why?”
“I can only remember him after his death,” Malleus’ expression darkened, “This curse, it’s truly horrifying.”
“Even though your mind forgets, your body tends to remember though.”
“Huh?”
“Your body remembering is probably one of the things that kept Idia sane, it’s-”
“Wait, remembering how?”
“You kept the habits you built with him. And even now,” Lilia’s eyes glinted, staring at the well-taken-care plant in Malleus’ room, “You're still fond of that plant, aren’t you?”
“...I got it with Idia?” Malleus blinked, then chuckled, “No wonder, I kept remembering to take care of it but I don’t remember why it’s so important to me in the first place.”
“You and Idia bought it to commemorate him being allowed to live in here,” Lilia smiled, “It's a rare type of plant from the Island of Woe that blooms once in 5 years. In fact, I think it should bloom soon.”
Cue to Lilia's words, the plant suddenly shook. Malleus turns to Lilia to make sure this is supposed to happen, but Lilia only pushes him to watch the plant.
The plant suddenly pops out a few flowers, though that's not what pulls Malleus' interest, but the fact that the flowers's blue is just like Idia…
Especially with that glow.
“Beautiful, isn't it?” Lilia beamed, "I remember Idia saying that he purposely brought that flower so you don't forget him in your long life."
“What's the name of the plant?”
“Huh? I don't know, I think it's something simpl- ah- I remember!”
