Philza certainly didn’t know what it was like to find someone’s lost possessions and wonder if they wanted them back. Technoblade had no clue what it was like to travel though the strands of time. Only Wilbur Soot knew what it was like to return a lost stuffed animal to a child. Only he knew that joy in their eyes, that smile that would inevitably spread over their small faces. His family, for all their merit, knew nothing of humans. Much less the joys simple toys brought to them.

Summary
Riddle Rosehearts has spent the last school year unwinding the character his mother tried to force him to be and discover who he really is. He's been attending therapy since his overblot, which has been immensely helpful, so he doesn't doubt his counselor when they suggest he try journaling as a means of healthily coping with his emotions. With his new diary and pen in hand, he finds himself growing closer and closer to a functional human being.
Then the headmage announces that Night Raven College will be hosting its first ever Family Day, and Riddle has no power to stop the horrible, life-altering events that take place from unfolding.

Siren snorted. “No. I’m just here to order some food.”
“Wh-What about him?” The cashier asked, glancing at Tommy. “Did you- did you kidnap him?”
“I mean… yeah, let’s go with that in case this ends up on the news,” Siren shrugged, looking back at Tommy. “I kidnapped you, right?”
“Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”
or, how Tommy—who is not a hero, or a villain, or even a vigilante—saves the life of one of L'Manberg's most feared supervillains, and accidentally ends up becoming the resident doctor for every supervillain in town (and maybe gets a family along the way too).
