Siren snorted. “No. I’m just here to order some food.”
“Wh-What about him?” The cashier asked, glancing at Tommy. “Did you- did you kidnap him?”
“I mean… yeah, let’s go with that in case this ends up on the news,” Siren shrugged, looking back at Tommy. “I kidnapped you, right?”
“Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”
or, how Tommy—who is not a hero, or a villain, or even a vigilante—saves the life of one of L'Manberg's most feared supervillains, and accidentally ends up becoming the resident doctor for every supervillain in town (and maybe gets a family along the way too).

Summary
“Hey mate!” The guy called out as he got closer, giving Wilbur a friendly smile. “I think you dropped your bread.”
Wilbur should run the opposite direction from this guy, but he didn’t seem angry at him. If anything, the guy was holding the bread towards him, like he was waiting for Wilbur to take it back.
He didn’t trust that. It had to be some kind of test.
“It’s not my bread. I stole it,” Wilbur said without preamble, narrowing his eyes at the guy who was standing only a few feet away from him now.
The guy shrugged, still holding the bread out. “Yeah, but it’s not like that baker was gonna be able to sell it after it got all squished, so it’s as good as yours.”
or, runaway Wilbur runs into a friendly man while trying to steal some bread. Somehow this snowballs into him getting a new dad.

Summary
From the corner of his eye, all he could see was a tuft of blonde hair. The person was sitting right beside him, taking slow, exaggerated breaths like they’d just run a marathon or something.
Oh fuck. This wasn’t good.
Deciding to use the element of surprise before the person figured out he was awake, Wilbur took one more breath to steady himself. Then, he bolted upright, and twisted so he could pin the stranger against the wall.
“Hey man! What the fuck?!”
It… It was a kid.

Summary
There was nothing he could say to justify this right now though. Not when Wilbur had seen the blood. Not when his skin was still buzzing with anxiety. Not when things were still too fucking hazy for him to think straight.
“I just… I needed to check,” Tommy whispered, dropping his eyes to his lap.
“Check what?” Wilbur whispered back, wrapping Tommy’s (kind of) injured hand up in both of his own.
Tommy swallowed down the lump in his throat, figuring he might as well say it outright. “I needed to check if this was real or not.” A pause. “Dreaming. I needed to make sure I wasn’t still dreaming.”
or, even though it's been nearly a year since Tommy was rescued, he still deals with the after effects of 404's dream manipulation.
