Mumbo was content to live a normal boring life. He didn’t want to be a villain, or a hero he just wanted to do good. He just wanted to be the person young him pictured he could be.. but apparently doing good in this world makes him the bad guy. It’s never black and white or even grey, it’s always painfully red.

That’s a really long tangent that leads the same question. Mumbo always wanted to stay away from villainy so, how has he ended up as one of the most well known ones in the city, and why is he self monologuing while standing about one foot away from a Watcher pointing a gun at him?
Or: Mumbo is an escaped lab experiment just trying to get by and do good. The world said no and suddenly he’s the key to taking down a corrupt government and the centre of everyone’s attention. Including a very particular clone.

Sometimes they fight to the death on a post-apocalyptic planet, others they build mighty empires over the course of millennia in a fantasy filled world. When they find themselves in a Sci-Fi universe filled world they decide that this time they will make a pact, not to play the watcher sadistic game and to live a life in this universe. But Grian is haunted by his past and when he meets Scar, someone outside the games, he comes closer to breaking the pact than ever before.

After years of torture and pain, Grian finally escapes the clutches of the Watchers. He crash lands on a strange server, injured and panicked. But the players are hunting him, and he’s too weak to fight back. He resigns himself to a life of running and hiding.
Scar is a little mesmerized by the stranger that had forced its way onto Hermitcraft. Everyone seems convinced it’s hostile, but the few interactions Scar’s had with it seem to say otherwise. Maybe it just needs a friend?
_______OR these two traumatized idiots fall not so slowly in love while trying to recover from their messy pasts. But pasts aren’t something you can just run away from, especially in their cases.
There’s other relationships explored as well, but my Scarian heart has to make these two the center of the story.
