“AVALANCHE!”
Scar plunged into the snow, tumbling out of the way, darkness for a second before pulling himself out just in time to watch as Mumbo was engulfed by the wave. Scar couldn’t see his face under the mask and helmet, but he could hear as they screamed, and he could feel through the earth the danger of this monster that had literally fallen apon them.
Then, Grian, speeding to try and escape the danger, silent although his face full of fear, terror, and determination, soon tripped, flipped, and disappeared under the cloud of white; bound to have taken the hardest fall of them all.

But because of those attempts, another faction of the Council rose against the Watchers: the Listeners. They foiled the Watchers' plans, and wiped out much of Their race.

Scar is a vex hybrid that's definitely doing OK™ in his tiny little iron cage, in solitary confinement, in a hunter camp where hybrids such as himself are executed for sport and/or sold off for parts and exotic pets. Nope, no bad feelings here! Just vibes, a positive attitude, and the very pleasant company of him, himself and his (slowly deteriorating) thoughts to keep him company.
Things change with the sudden addition of a terrified yet strangely mysterious avian in what was meant to be a solitary tent. Not that Scar's protesting, but the little guy is... kinda weird. What sort of avian doesn't like to fly? What sort of avian hates being stared at? Why on earth is this guy so hyper-aware of his surroundings?
What's his deal?
Scar knows three things for certain: this guy is too intriguing, too mysterious, and too damn cute! Personally, Scar finds it a huge shame that they're both about to die so soon. He'd have loved to figure out this sardonic, feathery little bundle of mystery.
