Chapter Text
Laura was rudely awoken at an inhumane time in the morning by her phone threatening to fall off the side table.
She picked it up, cringing at the brightness when it turned on.
Texts from Logan?
6:42am
Logan: Laura.
Logan: Call me.
Logan: I can’t figure out the buttons.
Logan: Can you do it?
Logan: Please call me.
Logan: This is an emergency.
Laura huffed and pressed the FaceTime button.
She was greeted by the sight of Logan’s hairline.
“Laura!” He said instead of a greeting.
“Yes, Logan?” She said, rubbing her forehead.
“I kissed Wade.”
That got her attention.
She immediately sat up. “Are you serious? You two kissed?”
Logan nodded, or rather his hairline did. “We’re together now.”
“Oh my god this is the best news ever, when did this happen?”
“About two minutes ago.”
“Are you serious?”
“Yeah. I just sort of kissed him and then he kissed me back and now I think we’re boyfriends.”
“You think?”
“Well I hope so. He said he loved me, and I said I loved him. And then we kissed.”
“You’re using the L word already? Christ, talk about moving fast.”
“Mhm.”
“If this happened two minutes ago, where’s Wade?”
“Talking to Althea I think.”
-
“Al!” Wade yelled at his phone, as if that was going to make her pick up (maybe if he yelled loud enough).
It rang out again.
“Ugh, c‘mon Al!”
Why did she have to sleep at the Casino today of all days? What was she even doing there? She wouldn’t be able to tell if she hit a jackpot!
Luckily, she picked up on Wade’s 11th call.
“What are you doing blowing up my phone, boy? I’m trying to get my beauty rest!”
“Logan kissed me! And then I kissed him!” Wade all but screeched.
“About damn time. Can I go back to bed now?”
“Al! We kissed! We love each other! We’re boyfriends now! We’re getting married in May!”
“Who’s getting married in May?”
“Me and Logan in my fantasies.” He sighed dreamily. “Do you think he’d be open to wearing a dress?”
“Fat chance. Goodnight, Wade.”
“It’s the morning!”
She had already hung up.
