Chapter Text
Note that past age 32(adulthood for a dragon), all values are approximate, and individuals may have heavy variance, especially past a century old.
Length and height measurements are based on the average for a quadrupedal Western-style dragon with an average-length tail and limb/body proportions similar to a big cat, and are heavily variable.
Height is measured from the top of the head to the bottom of the foretalon, and length is measured from the front of the chest to the tip of the tail- both while standing with legs and tail fully extended. The comparison object is only accurate as a comparison when curled into a ball.
Serpentine dragons, as a general rule, are 2-4 times the stated length and grow in diameter/thickness a lot more slowly- most are about 3 feet long and 2.5 inches thick when hatched, are about 8-12 feet long and 5-6 inches thick at 8 and are about 20-40 feet long and 1-2 feet thick at 100.
