Chapter Text
With Toby fast asleep, and Jack having retreated to his room, Natalie is alone. She is alone and bored. In addition to that, she is pissed off.
Jeff and Ben have always been…reckless. Most of the time, their recklessness wasn’t harmful, but this time it was. If No one else is going to do anything about it, Natalie sure will.
She gently shifts Toby’s head off of her lap, and gets up off the couch. She does a double take to make sure he’s still sleeping soundly, then makes her way up the stairs.
Clockwork stops in front of Jeff The Killer’s room, bracing herself before trying the knob. Locked, of course.
“You have approximately ten seconds to unlock this door before I break it the fuck down Jeff!” Her tone is extremely harsh, but not quite to the level of yelling.
She hears shuffling behind the door, then a few seconds later the lock clicks open and the door swings ajar, almost smacking her in the face.
Natalie makes direct eye contact with Jeff, the look in her eyes could put satan to shame. “What the fuck is wrong with you two?”
Ben is sitting on the floor next to Jeff’s bed, looking fairly bored out of his mind. Jeff returns the glare, “A lot, actually. We kill people Nat.”
“For reasons! We kill people for reasons! We don’t leave our friends to freeze and drown in a damn lake!” She grabs Jeff by the collar of his hoodie.
He grabs her hands, trying to pry them away. “We got him out! It wasn’t like he was gonna die, and even if he did he would have come right back it isn’t a big deal!”
She shoves him further back into his room. “He still could die! Just because he’s home doesn’t mean he’s out of the woods. And yeah, he’ll come back but dealing with that is hell for all of us.”
Ben pipes up from the back of the room. “Holy shit stop bitching! An accident happened, everything is fine now just drop it.”
Natalie shifts her gaze to Ben. “You better shut your fucking mouth before I beat the dog shit of you, am I clear?”
”Yes ma’am.”
Jeff rolls his eyes. “No I agree with him, stop bitching.”
Clockwork grabs Jeff by the shoulders and slams him into the ground, then stomps him in the stomach causing him to gasp in shock. “You two were irresponsible and almost got my boyfriend killed. I have every right to be angry.”
Before he can get a word out in retaliation, they all turn their heads to a soft voice from the hallway.
”Nat? What’s going on?”
Toby is standing just outside the door with blood streaming down his arm. He still looks faintly blue, and like a gust of wind could knock him over.
Natalie abandons Jeff and turns her full attention to her boyfriend. “Toby, what are you doing up? You should be sleeping.” Her eyes wander down to his arm. “Did you rip the IV out?”
Toby shrugs. “Yeah, I wanted to see what was going on so I yanked it out.”
She walks over to him and pulls him into a side hug. “Come on, let’s just get you in your own room.” Before she makes a move to turn away, she locks eyes back with Jeff. “If this ever happens again, I will get Tim and Brian involved.”
The two boys avert their gaze as she slams the door back shut. She then starts helping Toby down the hallway to his own room.
”That was hot.” Toby pipes up, a smirk making its way across his face.
