hello my darling readers!
i know it's been a decade and a half since i updated. this is for two reasons: 1. i've been having a number of personal problems and haven't been emotionally up for writing; 2. i'm totally not happy with how this story has gone.
for me this story has been my baby for almost 6 months now, but i have not been doing it justice. i got way too wrapped up in trying to keep up with canon and this led to a number of issues, the chief one being some absolutely gaping plot holes. and nobody wants that. so i have decided to essentially start from scratch.
this leads me to my next point. i desperately need your feedback. please let me know what parts of this story you enjoyed, what parts were awful and confusing. there will be a number of things different, but i'd love to get some feedback about the following things in particular:
1. flashbacks? - are they too long? too short? do you like them integrated into the modern chapters or would they be better in their own chapters?
2. characterization?
3. mimicking canon?
4. more grounder mythology?
i really hope to get the new version of this story up soonish. it will most likely be in a new story, but i'll post the first chapter on this one so you can find it easier.
