Names of mom:
Mò/莫 means “do not, is not, can not” or “there is none who" and Huì Yíng/惠莹 meaning “graceful, luminous, and bright, representing elegance and clarity” → meaning Mo Huying. yes i know they both contradicted each other/mean something bad, but i headcanon that the mother who birthed Huying was resentful of her existence so she named her that. u can think of whatever reason for why she is hateful towards her.

ALSO MORE INFO ABOUT MAMA MO:

She is the half sister of mo-furen, meaning her mom was either a concubine/courtesan/prostitute/slave. IIRC, Mama mo herself was a slave in novel canon, but i changed it up for her to be a daughter of one of the above. Shes basically a acknowledged bastard, hated by her elder legitimate sister cause shes pretty, youthful and pretty while mo-furen is not.

mama mo is very calculating, shes soft towards WWX bcz like, you dont bite the hand that feeds you, do you? shell keep being this soft delicate lady till she can fully trust him, but for now, she trusts that he"ll put her sons best interest at heart.

(dont tell anyone, but she is actually a bit soft toward wwx, seeing a bit of her son in him, so shes being genuine towards him when she is being motherly.)

ages are not confirmed for mo xuanyu and mama mo, so i tried my best to actually find the accurate age for little mo. for mama mo i headcanoned it
Mo xuanyu is 9 years old, welll 9 and a half. and mama mo is 26. yall do the math and you get the age she gave birth to little mo. (JGS IM COMING FOR U-)

Jiangnan: the area/country/place that borders yunmeng, and is the area where gusulan are in.
Gongzi: respected master/sir/mister.
Zhengzhang: a mayor/village head.
Moling: a city/provience that borders gusulan.
furen: married wife/lady/etc.
jiejie: sister (refering to wen Qing).
gege: brother.
muqin: formal way of saying mother.
niang: relaxed version of a'niang, means mom.
guniang: respected mistress/miss/lady/ma'am. i used this for mo huying because i have no idea what other term to use??? jiejie is too informal and significes a close bond, same as a-yi. auntie doesnt make sense???? shes not THAT older. xiaojie also doesnt make sense cause she is OLDER than wwx. AAA. losing my mind. thisll be a place holder till i find an actual correct term.
Jinu (妓女 (jìnǚ)): this term refers to a prostitute or courtesan. used negatively.
Huli jing: fox spirit, usually characterized as seductive and cunning, preying on "innocent men".
daifu: certified doctor.
Xiao: meaning little, or baby.
Li: is a traditional Chinese unit of distance. its one third of an english mile.

this time, the title isnt a poem but rather a proverb.

original proverb:
执子之手，与子偕老。

Zhí zǐ zhī shǒu, yǔ zǐ xiélǎo

translated:
Hold hands with you, grow old with you.

Meaning of proverb:

Conveying the concept of ever-lasting love and unwavering commitment between partners.--> WWX is literally traveling MILES for his love, and LWJ would do the same. both of them want to have what they couldn't before, to grow old together and live a happy life.

When i read this proverb, i instantly thought of WX. this proverb describes them to a T.
