Chapter Text
“You've done it now, kid.” The words sounded faded like they were afar, but still the disappointment was evident. Adrien knew that loungy voice from anywhere, and the loud gulp that followed behind it didn’t make him feel any better.
“What?” The single word flowed out the blond’s mouth, confused and worried.
‘What have I done? As far as I’m concerned, nothing.’
“Wake up.” Plagg nudged him with one of his paws harder than usual. It was almost like he was rushing him. What for? Adrien was comfortable in the warm bed he laid in.
“Chat, I suggest you listen to your kwami.” The new voice was stern and sent chills down Adrien’s spine.
‘That voice? It sounds familiar.’
Adrien didn’t like where this was going. Without opening his eyes, Adrien spoke without moving a single muscle out of fear.
“Plagg, am I still at Marinette’s?”
“Yes.”
“What’s the fastest you can transform me?”
“Not fast enough to save you.”
‘Shit!’
“Adrien, get up.”
“What happened to hello? Good morning? How are you?” Adrien sat up, joking with hopes to lighten up the mood. He came in contact with the little red object floating next to Plagg. Adrien had to rub his eyes so he could see clearly, while one had her arms crossed, the other hid in itself a bit, scared for what’s to come.
‘I see, so I’m this way by nature. Where was this on the terms and conditions?’
“Tikki?” Adrien’s eyes adjusted, and a confused expression took over the blond’s feature momentarily, before realization struck him. With catlike swiftness, Adrien jumped onto his feet, the blankets still up like someone was under it.
“Tikki…” A nervous chuckle was the only thing that kept him from falling to his knees, begging her to show him mercy. “...Hey.”
“Adrien, you do understand what you did, right?” The Red kwami was evidently displeased with the situation before her. Adrien took the time to scan around the room, and see that Marinette is missing from the room.
“Not exactly, no.” The boy rubs the back of his neck, waiting for the lecture to start. It was bad enough that his own kwami was hiding, so he was ready for the worst to come.
‘Wait a minute, why is Tikki here?’
“I told you he was dense! He finally realized, we totally could have gotten away with this!” Plagg points out at the state Adrien’s in right now.
“Shut it, Plagg.” A glare was shot at the Black cat kwami, and without another peep, he obeyed.
“Where’s Marinette?” Adrien taking note of her absence. He can only imagine how she reacted when she saw Adrien Agreste laying in her bed in the place where Chat Noir slept. Angry? Hurt? Disappointed?
So many thoughts raced through Adrien’s head as Tikki told him the message Marinette left behind. He was handed a spare toothbrush, and was told to find his drawer where Chat’s spare clothes lay.
While Adrien was getting freshened up, the bluenette was downstairs having a crisis. She basically confessed she had feelings for two blond-haired, green-eyes men, and lo and behold they turn out to be the same person.
Marinette had to slap a hand over her mouth and do a death roll out of her bed in order to keep the peace in the house. When she had first woken up, she played in the boy’s soft golden hair, and brushed too much she learned there wasn’t a mask on his face. In fact, she didn’t even notice that his ears were gone.
A deep red blush has yet to leave her face as the past couple days loop constantly through her mind. The signs were there, the words Chat said before, during and after what they did. She felt played, but for some reason couldn’t be mad. Maybe it was because she deserved it for tricking Adrien, well Chat who doesn’t let anything slide.
There’s a long awaited conversation expected for her when she enters her room with their breakfast. The girl is not sure what to expect, nerves eat at her wondering what he might think of her now. Tikki had chewed Plagg a new one, and knew Adrien was next. He’d know she is Ladybug, would he be mad at her?
Marinette knocked on the door leading to her room, before opening it anyway. The miraculous holder couldn’t look up from the board of food she was holding, so scared she was holding her breath.
“Good morning, Mari.” The cat holder sat criss-crossed on her bed with one hand waving at her and the other scratching at the back of his neck. While nervous, he was excited that the person he loved finally knew his biggest secret. He followed her every move from when she finally looked up at him and when she set the board holding their food by her bed steps.
Blue eyes were reunited with green eyes.
Marinette stood agape at the view of Adrien’s hair shooting in different directions and the toothy smile he’s giving her was to die for. He looked like he just had sex even in his new clothes. She was malfunctioning at the sight before her, though it looked completely different in Adrien’s eyes.
“Marinette, please say something.”
“You.”
“Me?” Adrien’s eyebrows shot up in confusion at such an answer. There’s an unlimited amount of ways this could go, but he only hopes it’ll go the direction he wants. Obviously, there’s no denying that he wants her. He wants Marinette Dupain-Cheng, who is the ladybug miraculous holder. She’s just so precious to him.
“Yes, you.” Marinette was breathless watching the beauty before her, and it built pride knowing it was her doing. She wanted him. She wants Adrien Agreste, who is the black cat miraculous holder. He means the world to her.
“I can explain.”
“No need.” Marinette climbed up to sit next to her friend and partner on the bed. “Hungry?”
“Your face is so red.” Adrien points out, smiling cutely at her. He couldn’t help himself when he pushed a piece of hair from the front of her face, and his smile widened when the blush deepened.
“I- I don’t even know where to start, Adrien.” The blue-eyed girl was awestruck, happy, excited and just so nervous. She refused to ramble out words so she’d rather get her thoughts together first. She, swiftly, stuck a croissant in her mouth so she wouldn’t have to talk first.
“Well, Princess.” The persona Chat Noir made an appearance, leaning into his lady’s face and taking a bite out of the other end of her croissant. It shortened her time to eat, so he, smugly, spoke with food in his mouth, “I’d like to say you look unbelievably breathtaking.”
“Adrien-”
“Let me finish.” He interrupts her gently then takes a hold of her hands, their breakfast sat aside for now. He took one of her hands and laid it on his chest right in front of his heart. Marinette’s eyes widened at the speed his heart was pumping.
“You do this to me.” Adrien brought the hand on his chest to his lips to give the inside of her wrist a kiss. “Always have, always will. Whether the mask is on or not.” He kissed her fingertips.
“There isn’t a word yet to describe how happy I am to know my sun and moon shine brighter than ever as one.” He pressed his lips against the top of her hand, and pulled the other to his lip to be fair. “I just want you to know that-”
“I love you.” Marinette wanted to say it first, she wanted him to know how she felt first. Tears had swelled in her eyes, overwhelmed with emotions. Hearing Adrien’s words had erased any ounce of nervousness and doubt.
Adrien had let out a gasp, not expecting her to say anything. In fact, she wholeheartedly expected Marinette to need time from him, so he had to tell her how he felt before she said anything. Before, he’d be left alone yearning after her.
“Say it again.” The cat holder’s eyes shone bright wanting to hear those words again, so bad. Adrien reached for her shoulder to pull her closer to him, being mindful of the food on the bed. Marinette straddled him, arms stuck to her sides as Adrien trapped her in a tight hug.
The blush on Marinette’s face started to reach down her neck, and she could hardly look at him. She turned her head, and opened her mouth to speak.
“No.” The blond said in a deep voice, lifting a hand against her chin and turned her to look back at him. “Look at me, and say it.”
Green eyes reach blue eyes.
A gleam danced in their eyes as they looked at each other. It was mesmerizing, drunk off each other’s touch and attention.
“I love you.” Marinette says, undoubtedly, leaving no room for him to think she’s joking. Her hands reached to hold his face in them, as she leaned her forehead against his.
“I love you, my knight in shining leather, Adrien Agreste.”
“I love you too.” Marinette’s eyes opened larger at his confession even though she knew. Adrien held a hand at the back of her neck, angling her perfectly for what’s to come. Gently pulling her down to his lips, they ghost over the other in a blissfully stilled dance waiting for the music to start.
He whispers against her lips, “I love you so much, my lady, Marinette Dupain-Cheng.”
Marinette couldn’t wait anymore as she let herself fall into him completely. The lips that long for each other reunited in ecstasy. This kiss was soft but needy, sloppy but so sure. Their hands clung to one another tightly, but gently as they let their desires speak for them.
“Princess?” Adrien pulls away first holding Mari’s cheek firmly in his hand, brushing away stray hairs.
“Yes?” Mari says, oh-so-sweetly out of breath, with her hands sliding onto Adrien’s chest. The cat holder felt an overwhelming desire to purr as her fingertips tranced against his body, and he was close to ripping his shirt off so he could finally feel her skin against his again.
“I so knew you liked Chat Noir.” A smirk graces Adrien's face as his beloved rolls her eyes at his bad timing.
“I so knew you liked Marinette.” She plays along, sliding her hands up his chest to his neck all the way up until she reaches his hair, giving it light scratches.
“Absolutely love her, she’s quite hot.” Adrien kissed on the bruises he left on her neck these past couple days, then softly biting in places that are unmarked. He’s urged on when Mari’s breathing skips and her chest rises up and down faster. Relishing that he’s made her come undone this way, breaking her barriers, and taking her breath away.
“Oh, yeah? Anything else?” Chat could just hear the smirk on her face, like she was daring him to do the one thing that would determine whether or not their missions were worth it.
“And very cute.” A hand of his slides up her shirt, cooling the hot skin while the other grabs ahold of her chin to tilt her head to look him in the eyes. “So cute I could just eat her.”
“Prove it.” A gleam of confidence stood firm with Marinette’s words.
Adrien didn’t miss a beat claiming her lips with his, pushing her down on her bed with him on top between her legs, the legs he drools over. It was safe to say that the two were no longer as innocent as their classmates thought, and soon their kisses were joined with pants, moans, groans and whimpers.
Marks they’ve never seen before kissed their skin places never touched before. Adrien thanked his past self consistently for putting condoms in his pocket before he left home. They would keep going until they got the hang of it, until both were happy and satisfied, until someone was screaming in euphoria, screaming names, and til they fell asleep with smiles on their faces, not an ounce of regret or doubt.
Their breakfast is long forgotten by them, but not their kwamis who moved the board elsewhere before shit got hectic, so they could eat their respective foods somewhere more private.
“Sugar cube?” Plagg threw a piece of cheese up in the air and caught it swallowing it in one gulp.
“Yes?” Tikki says, nuzzling right next to him with her sweets, giving him her full attention.
“I think this went better than expected. You could say it was quite… miraculous.”
The red kwami giggled, shaking enough for the both of them. Plagg was glad to know he was out of deep waters, and wouldn’t admit how happy he was to hear her laugh.
“Indeed, it is.”
