Kissing feels like the right answer

Chapter 2

Summary:

A couple people asked for a chapter two so here ya go. It’s a short one but wanted to get it up!

Chapter Text

The next morning, Tim of course wakes up before Lucy. He can’t help but think back to the last time they were in bed together after Valentine’s Day. This time feels so different, though. They’re in a much better place so hopefully she won’t try to sneak out.

“Mmm morning.” Lucy mumbles, still very much asleep.

“Good morning, my love,” he winces after it just slips out hoping she didn’t catch it.

She either didn’t catch it or doesn’t care because next she absentmindedly is moving closer to him. When she’s close enough, he pulls her into his arms letting her head fall onto his chest.

“I missed this,” she mumbles again.

“Me too, Luce.” His voice is muffled as he places a kiss on the top of her head.

They still needed to talk, and Tim knows one night doesn’t fix everything. Lucy still hasn’t forgiven him and he’s more than understanding on why. He’s still working to forgive himself, honestly.

But there’s no denying what they have. What they still have. That undeniable chemistry and connection that has quite honestly never left. That even through all the hurt, confusion and anger never fully went away.

Tim had already made sure to turn his alarm off so it wouldn’t wake Lucy but now it was time for them both to get up and her alarm started blaring, earning a groan from her. He couldn’t help but laugh at how he was reminded how much she hated mornings.

“Luce it’s time to get up.”

“5 more minutes.” She tries to cuddle deeper into his chest.

“Sorry no can do. C’mon, get up now and I can help you study again tonight.”

She perks her head up just in time to see him wink. His words send a shiver down her spine while she smirks.

“Are we actually going to study this time?” She asks raising an eyebrow.

“What do you mean? We did last night?”

“Only four questions,” she playfully shoves his chest.

“I didn’t hear you complain once,” he shoots back.

She just shakes her head but decides to finally get up. Looking around the room for her clothes, she sees a lot more than what they were wearing last night.

“Tim?”, she asks, he turns his head from the edge of the bed where he was still sitting. “Two questions. First, do you have something I can wear? Second, what are all these clothes doing on your floor?”

He hesitates before giving her an answer to both questions, trying to hide his now blushed cheeks.

“Of course you can, all your stuff is still in your drawer. And for the second question, I… ha, I couldn’t figure out what to wear last night before you came over.”

“That’s adorable actually.” She opens up the drawer that had been designated hers to find everything exactly where she left it. It made her heart ache.

“I’m not adorable,” Tim says rolling his eyes, pulling her out of her thoughts.

“Well to me you are,” she smiles sweetly at him before taking her clothes into the bathroom and closing the door behind her.

After their long day of work, Lucy found herself back at Tim’s door. When he opened it, he was standing there fully dressed, which clearly wasn’t working for her.

“Alright, new challenge for tonight.” She says walking in right past him into the house.

“And that is?” He raises an eyebrow anxious for what she’s going to say.

“Every answer I get right, not only do I get a kiss but you have to lose a piece of clothing,” she asserts with a smile.

“Are you sure this is a good idea?”

“Shut up and ask me the questions, Bradford.”

“Yes m’am” He says quickly, not wanting to waste any time.

This time, they had gotten a few more questions in before Tim took her to bed yet again. This definitely wouldn’t be the last study date.
