Summary
Danzo becomes Hokage after the Pain attack, but there are still a few grumblings from people who would rather see Kakashi become Hokage. As a result, Danzo, aware of Kakashi's growing feelings for his former student makes him a deal he isn't exactly allowed to refuse: support Danzo's reign. In exchange, Danzo will give him Sakura in the guise of rebuilding the Hatake clan. Meanwhile, Danzo is pressuring Sakura to 'prove her loyalties' by presenting her with a mission: marry Kakashi Hatake, help him rebuild his clan. It's not a bad mission considering her own feelings for Kakashi. All she has to do is not make an entire fool of herself. (Summary sucks cause it's late and I just want to post this to see if it's good. For convenience sake, Sakura and the rest of the Konoha 11 are aged up 2 years. Don't like Kakasaku, obviously don't read.)

They stare at each other for a long moment, barely even breathing in the charged silence as her fingers flex on the small box she’d pulled from his drawer.
The ring box.
“Um. Fuck,” Tim says, swallowing thickly as his eyes dart back and forth between the velvet and her face. “You, uh… I meant that you could have the, uh, the left drawer.”

He waits a little, to see if she will offer the words back, if it’s just an oversight that she will correct in the middle of the grocery list she is quickly putting together, if I love you fits between tea and chocolate powder like it fits between an overflowing coffee machine and a buttered toast.
