🐦‍⬛♫

The days that passed wasn’t easier for either of the girls. Sure, Blondie had gotten som unhexpected karma, but of course that just encouraged the thought of Faybelle and Raven even more. For some reason the thought of two future villains being together.. it was unexplored, but so very popular now that the idea had surfaced.

Still, the girls kept going to meet up for some magic lessons, but every time, without fail, they ended up doing something else in the meantime. Blondie who was after all the scoops (and some revenge) was watching them like a hawk. Raven and Faybelle was the new hot topic on everyone’s mirror pads. In just two weeks, Blondie’s page had become some sort of gossip site, or rather stalking, where mysterious pictures of the two girls drinking at Hocus Latté while laughing together were posted, pictures of the two interacting in the castleteria even though they weren’t even sitting at the same table, the most popular ones though, were the ones where both Faybelle and Raven had casted some sort of spell or curse, laughing and snickering to themselves as they saw it play out. People ate it up seeing two future villains “acting out” their destinies together.

Raven hated it, the way it was viewed. Blondie’s mirror blog somehow only posted pictures from when they were doing something that people saw as “villain like”, and that wasn’t what Raven stood for at all. It’s like she couldn’t enjoy a harmless prank just because of her presumed destiny? So what, if she throws a prank that immediately means it’s evil?

Even more it irritated her beyond comprehension how Blondie was taking these pictures. How both her and Faybelle never managed to notice her or find out before a new notification about a post on the mirror blog popped up on their mirror phones.

After another magic lesson, two weeks after their first one, Raven and Faybelle were in Raven’s dorm. It may look like everything they did was hang out to have fun, but Faybelle was a fairy serious teacher. They’d practiced the teleportation spell for two weeks non-stop, and Raven could now proudly say she got the gist of it. Sure, there were a few slip ups, but she got it the majority of the time. Slowly but surely, Faybelle had pushed her to try a freezing spell.

When Raven first had refused to sign the Storybook of Legends, she had accidentally frozen the entire school once she snapped. Faybelle had backed away and flown a good distance away from the crowd, just managing to avoid the spell in time. She didn’t care about her conversation with Apple, nor did she pay attention to her unfreezing Maddie and celebrating that she didn’t go ‘poof’ or whatever. But she’d paid attention to the spell. She can do a pretty similar one, but the evil magic that Raven possesses is just so much more powerful. The dark fairy magic version of the spell only allowed Faybelle to freeze at least five people at the same time for five minutes, meanwhile evil magic was unlimited in both aspects.

So now they were in Raven’s dorm, because apparently Bunny were having guests and Apple was luckily out, hanging out with Briar somewhere. Faybelle had gathered at least three books for Raven to read and analyze, while she was studying the keys of the spell. Raven didn’t remember how she’d cast it the first time, and it seemed like it had a few different factors for start up than Faybelle’s dark fairy magic spell, so it forced Faybelle to also inspect the books.

Raven had peeked over at her mirror phone for a second, seeing a new notification. Blondie’s mirror blog.

”Uh, she posted something again.” Raven said kind of creeped out, but also irritated. If it was another picture she’d absolutely flip, because they were literally in her own room. There had to be some kind of rule she’s violated by that.

”That girl just doesn’t give up..” Faybelle sighed, putting down her book to check her mirror phone.

A silence filled the room. They were both sitting on the bed, with a good amount of distance. The silence wasn’t awkward, not comforting. Just confused.

“Mirrorwings? Seriously?” Faybelle finally said, squinting her eyes to make sure she was reading right.

”Velvet curse. Who came up with these..” Raven muttered, chuckling at the description.

”Ah yes, dusksong, poetic and mysterious, like two souls meeting at twilight! Why, how romantic.” The dark fairy mimicked in a poet-like voice, adding a hint of french just because she could.

Raven chuckled at her impression, before speaking. “You’re seriously making fun of this? She’s going way beyond our boundaries!” She asked confused, amused at how Faybelle could make light of the situation.

”She already did that when she started taking pictures of us without our knowledge and posting them.” Faybelle replied, unbothered.

”Still, are you saying it doesn’t matter?” Raven raised her eye brow suspiciously. She was so.. calm.

”Why do I have to care about what others think?” Faybelle questioned the other girl, looking at her with a neutral face. “If you keep getting bothered by what everyone else says and thinks, you’ll just forget your own thoughts and opinions.”

Raven looked at her puzzled. Her and Faybelle were.. friends. She thinks. They never really established any friendship between them, but she thought it was pretty safe to say they were somewhat friends. So there was a good point in what she was saying.. if they were friends, then others speculations didn’t matter.

“I guess that didn’t occur to me.” She admitted, her eyes looking at Faybelle with admiration. She didn’t know that she could have such a view on the world.

”It surprises me that you don’t. Rebelling against your destiny doesn’t seem easy if you’re stuck on what other’s are saying.” The dark fairy pointed out, returning to look at the page again.

”How do you do that?” Raven suddenly said, making Faybelle turn her head, “Do what?” She tiled her head confused.

”Just.. act like you don’t care. Or like, maybe you truly don’t care. How do you keep that mindset all the time?” Faybelle and Raven just stared at each other for a few seconds, before Raven turned after embarrassed.

”I just wonder how you can never let things get to you. You don’t feel like you’re about to snap just once? When people throw shit at you that isn’t true at all– do you just take it all the time?” She continued, refusing to look at Faybelle as she awaited an answer.

Faybelle took a lazy breath, looking up at the roof while she let her legs dangle over the floor.

“You should know this, being the daughter of the Evil Queen and all..” she started, hesitating a bit. “Us that are born to be villains.. people will never treat us fairly. We’ll always just be the blood of the people that unleashed all evil and bad in the world to society. Destiny, right?” She chuckled at her poor attempt of a joke, but Raven remained quiet.

”Right, bad joke. Anyways; growing up, me, or you, or anyone with a fairytale villain as a parent for that matter, have never hexperienced the luxury of being born into a society hexcited for your mere hexistence. They were ready to hate us from the moment our parents finished their part of the story and were left to reproduce. They assumed bad things from the moment we got here. I used to get thrown junk at from commoners when my mom wasn’t with me, because they feared her so much. Kids used to pull my wings, saying it doesn’t matter if I get hurt because I’m evil anyways. When something bad happened, like someone broke a flower pot when I walked past their shoppe, they would blame it on me.” Faybelle bit her lip, listing these old memories. Just a few from the so many others.

”Anyone else can’t take such harassment at a young age. Except people like us. Villains.” Faybelle laughed at the irony. The good people treated them like shit, but it was fine because they’re evil.

“I know you must have similar stories, – if not worse. But you haven’t let them define you, have you? You’re a rebel, you use every single ounce of energy inside you to show people that you don’t mean any harm. Still, they see a picture of you laughing at something as silly as a prank, and suddenly you’re an awful villain again.”

”I guess what I’m trying to say, that when I listen to everything they throw at me, I don’t bother to try and prove them wrong. They call me evil, so what? A danger, a hazard, the list goes on. I give them what they want. I show them a figure that’s so ‘evil and dangerous’ that they don’t have the guts to spout anything at me ever again. That’s probably the biggest difference between you and me. By giving them what they want, I’m making it easier for both me and them. By trying your best to prove them wrong; you end up getting stuck in this never-ending loop of wanting to crush every single wrong opinion about you.” Faybelle finished, turning her head to look at Raven. The girl looked at her, eyes captured as she was listening to every word with her full attention.

”You’ve never wondered what it’s like to feel like no one hates you for once?” Raven asked politely. Was Faybelle really okay with people being like this, and then proving them right on top of it all?

”I don’t want to fight for the approval of people who do nothing but follow the crowd. People who get to know me themselves – they’re the only ones worth it.” Faybelle finished, a warm smile on her face.

Raven was shocked by the sight. She was surprisingly so much more than people had her out to, probably the most obvious thing Raven had realized these past few days. Faybelle was so emotionally intelligent. A good student, who took especially magic fairy seriously. She was kind, funny..

gorgeous.

”And who are those that bother to know you? The ones that are ‘worthy’?” Raven asked, wanting to hear Faybelle’s voice talk endlessly.

“Well, Briar.. Bunny, Duchess.. and I guess you pass that box pretty fine.” Faybelle muttered the last thing embarrassed, trying to make her eyes look anywhere but at the purple haired girl.

”I’m glad I got to know you. The real you.” Raven suddenly said, smiling at Faybelle. Faybelle could feel her heart beginning to beat faster, her etes betraying her and making her look straight at Raven when those words escaped her lips.

”Shut up.. I’m still a badass villain, y’know?!” She yelled, pretending to be annoyed as to hide the blush.

”I don’t know.. you seem to be going pretty soft on me lately!” Raven teased her back, sticking out her tongue playfully.

”You think you’re sooo funny.” Faybelle rolled her eyes, throwing the pillow next to her at Raven, making her chuckle. “I’d say I’m pretty good.” She caught the pillow, laughing even more.

”Now, what’re you voting?” She scooted closer to Faybelle with her mirror phone, the mirror still showing Blondie’s voting poll.

”Are we really?” Faybelle asked uninterested, only to roll her eyes at Ravens sly smirk.

“Why, I oughta! Ravelle, how gorgeous. Such a soft tone to it, and truly beautiful. Like the empress of the night – raving about her beauty!” Raven put her hand over her head dramatically, playing out the suggestion.

”Fayven, such grace, such elegance, portrayed in just one singular name. So very simple, absolutely astonishing!” Faybelle made another impression, making both of them laugh.

”You just want your name to stand first!” Raven pointed her finger accusingly at her, trying to keep a serious face, but failing.

”Well, it sounds cooler!” The dark fairy defended herself, earning only a scoff from the other girl as she pushed her lightly away.

The girls each votes on their own opinion, closing their mirror phones.

”You know, speaking of such pleasant childhood memories.. I do remember this dude once following me home, spouting some nonsense about ‘my birth being a taboo for all of society’ or something like that.” Raven laughed, being the first time she’d laughed at that memory. She usually shuddered at the hexperience. Remembering how terrified she was when a grown man had followed her all the way home, screaming all sort of profanities at her. But when Faybelle had shared all of this.. it seemed like it didn’t feel that scary anymore. She wasn’t alone, hexperiencing the horrible reality of being a descendant of a villain.

Faybelle cackled along with her, “Man, that’s messed up!” She said, before clearing her throat and talking, “Alright, bet ya can’t top this..” she said with a challenging look, Raven accepting as she looked at her just as confident.

”Once I was chased by a mob of children, that threw dead bees and wasps at me, saying I belonged with them because we both were insects that could fly.” Raven was about to comment, but Faybelle added her finishing touch. “And it was a mob of fairy children.” She smirked, crossing her hands.

Raven gasped in both shock and horror. Still, she laughed uncontrollably. “No fucking way!” She let out, Faybelle only nodding with a smile.

”As horrible as that is, I fear I can top it.”

“Oh yeah? Shoot your shot.” Faybelle snickered, ready to hear whatever Raven got.

The rest of the day processed like that. Forgetting the rest of the studying, sharing stories about childhood trauma as if they were loving and hilarious memories.

They obviously weren’t, but the fact that both of them knew they could share these stories without the other feeling the need to comfort the other as if they’re a lost and broken child.. it made it more pleasant. Filling those empty spaces with laughter, was way better than a sappy memory and pity.

Raven had come to realize a lot these past few days. As mentioned, Faybelle’s hextraordinary and unique personality, but also how much they had in common. It had never occurred to Raven that the one who could really understand her and relate to her, was the child of a villain almost as bad as her own mother.

Briar clenched her mirror phone at Blondie’s new post. Seriously? The pictures weren’t enough?

She was hanging out with Apple, and unfortunately that meant she couldn’t let those feelings she needed to let out so badly show. Only Ashlynn knew after all.. not to mention how Apple viewed this situation so much more differently than her.

”Isn’t it just amazing!” Apple sighed as she looked over Briar’s shoulder at her mirror phone while they were sitting on the bed. Briar didn’t respond, knowing more was about to come.

”I don’t know what made the two hang out to suddenly, but Faybelle’s an hexcellent influence on Raven.” She waved her hand, happier than she’s been in a while.

Ever since Blondie had reported the two girls for the first time, having Faybelle cast a curse on her with Raven laughing wickedly at the side.. Apple was finally beginning to see the pages write themselves like they should!

Faybelle was proud of being the next Dark Fairy, she was the best of the best in every class revolving around being a villain. And she never hid how much she awaited her destiny.

Truly, she was the ideal villain a princess waiting for her happily ever after could ever wish for. Briar was a lucky one, according to Apple. Because there was never any doubt Faybelle was, and would always stay a royal, being one to criticize the rebels whenever they pulled their schemes.

”You seen the pictures that Blondie’s posted? Seriously, gossip is so not fairest, but I can’t help but be so royally happy when I see those where they’re casting curses and spells on other people! I just knew– I knew Raven had it in her to be evil! She just needed a push from another villain..” Briar shut the words of her bffa out. Apple had proceeded to get up from the bed, walking around frantically as she listed how ‘awesome’ Faybelle and Raven were together, two villains pushing each other. She walked towards the pink picture frame of Briar and Faybelle, admiring it, envying it.

”Oh Briar, I never knew this was how it felt like to have a villain in your story that actually is surely to fulfill their destiny! We’ll both get our happily ever afters-“ Nope. Briar had attempted to not shut Apple out of her head, but the second she allowed her to tune in again the rant had turned out even worse. She didn’t even know that was possible.

‘We’ll both get our happily ever afters’ is she being forreal right now? She didn’t know about Apple, but her happily ever after did definitely not include being cursed and waking up in a whole new word and society. But of course, how would Apple White ever get that? She was even talking as if they would enjoy their ‘happily’ ever afters together. Which they definitely were not.

Briar rubbed her temple irritated. She definitely should’ve just told Apple she was busy today, she was a fool for thinking hanging out with her would calm her nerves down.

”Briar, are you okay? You seem out of it.” Apple said in a concerned voice, having stopped her rambling finally.

”Yes..” Briar lied, looking away from Apple. She bit her lip slightly, it wasn’t enough to get Apple off her back, she knew that. “It’s just, have you ever considered Raven and Faybelle might actually be a thing? Like– that Blondie’s posts might all just turn out to be more than just speculations and accusations.”

Apple looked at Briar for a minute. “Well, yes.” She admitted with a calm face, “How are you so calm about that?” Briar said in surprise. She flipped her crown on Ashlynn for dating Hunter, but her villain and Faybelle dating was completely fine?

”It’s not like they’re breaking any rules. They’re villains, we have happy endings while they don’t. And if dating Faybelle is influencing Raven to go towards her destiny without even realizing it, then that’s a win-win situation. They get a taste of what a happily ever after could look like – at the same time as they’re securing ours.” Apple smiled warmly, but Briar looked horrified at her. What she was saying sounded so inhumane. It sounded right, it’s what she’s been told by her own parents, but still.. it felt wrong. It felt weird. She was talking as if they weren’t just normal teenagers like them?

“Besides, they’re kind of cute I guess? I might just be biased because Ravens one of my bffa’s, and Faybelle’s kind of yours.. but as long as they’re satisfied, then that’s hexcellent!” Apple chuckled, covering her mouth as she did so.

Even Apple thought they were cute. Everyone thought they were cute.

Briar didn’t wan to listen to any of this anymore. Not Apple talking about them like they weren’t people just like them, and not about how cute the two looked together.

“I voted mirrorwings, the thought process is just perfect for their, and our, stories. Seriously, combining two main keys to the villains from Snow White and Sleeping Beauty? It’s genius!” Apple kept praising Blondie’s mirror phone, of course being completely oblivious to Briar’s behavior.

“I guess it’s good I told Raven I’d be out today, I’m sure they’re enjoying each other’s company.” The blonde girl suddenly said, making Briar turn her head to her. “What?”

“Raven asked if I would be in the dorm today, she said that Faybelle’s coming over and that she’d appreciate it if I wasn’t there.” Apple laughed at the memory, waving her hand elegantly.

”Faybelle’s hanging out in Raven’s room?” Briar asked for confirmation, only for Apple to raise her brow at her. “Why that’s what I said, yes?” She confirmed, confused if Briar was suffering from some kind of concussion from falling asleep somewhere.

Briar felt this ugly feeling forming up inside of her. It just wasn’t fair. She was the one that liked Faybelle! Everyone liked Briar, there was no one she couldn’t have! So why was the one person she wanted, with the person everyone else was scared shitless of. The one girl Faybelle couldn’t stand up until a few days ago!

The future sleeping beauty couldn’t stand it anymore, plopping her head onto her pillow and she groaned loudly into it.

”Ah.. Briar.?” Apple pricked her concerned, unsure if this was a process of falling asleep or something.

Another two weeks had passed since Blondie had posted about the poll. The votes seemed to have scored a perfect 40% on both the suggestions “Ravelle” and “Fayven”, leaving the remaining 20% split on the rest of the suggestions. Faybelle and Raven laughed the irony, it being the two suggestions they had voted for themselves. Though they didn’t pay anymore mind to it that necessarily.

People had stopped coming up to them when they were by themselves, hoping that they’d say something and slip about their “secret relationship” that everyone were convinced they had.

(Of course most people had turned to Raven, since Faybelle had warned everyone that dared come near her that she’d curse them into a snail for a hundred years, which everyone was almost completely sure she’d do without problem.)

Still, Raven might have picked up a habit or two from Faybelle. Being her usual self, not being able to contain her anger when people came with absurd claims, but also keeping in mind what Faybelle had said about “showing them a figure that’s so dangerous and evil that they don’t dare spout nonsense again”. After all, she was still a rebel. It was just so much easier when she didn’t define her being a rebel as someone that needed to prove herself everyday in every single possible way!

Naturally, Faybelle had helped her attempt getting better control at the fire spell, one of her mother’s signature spells. The Evil Queens infamous magenta colored flames, Raven having inherited them as her own purple ones.

Raven had managed to at least shoot the flames perfectly at two people different people walking over to her to pester her. Which she was so proud over, that she’d told Faybelle and received a laugh and a high-five.

”You going to meet up with Raven?” Duchess asked as they were sitting in the castleteria. She chewed on her salad which she’d gotten for lunch, while Faybelle was playing with her porridge.

”What makes you say that?” The dark fairy acted defensive, confused on the sudden claim.

”Well, you’re more dolled up than usual for one.. you’re also wearing a skirt with a hint of purple in it instead of your usual blue and green theme.. also your wings flutter every time you look over at Raven’s table.” Duchess kept listening things, looking up at Faybelle and pointed at the various reasons. When Faybelle told her two weeks ago after Blondie’s post that she’s afraid she’s caught feelings for the girl.. she was offended she thought that Duchess didn’t already know.

Faybelle just made it so painfully obvious.

”Shut up, they’re not fluttering!” Faybelle scoffed, only to be interrupted by the sound of her wings fluttering.

”Right.” Duchess rolled her eyes sarcastically, having been offended for the second time by Faybelle undermining her observation skills.

”She asked if I was up to hang out after school today, no magic lesson.” Faybelle finally responded, twirling a strand of hair.

”You’re disgusting.” Duchess commented, pretending to gag over her salad.

”YEAHHH!! DISGUSSS-TINGG!!! YEEEAAAAAHHH!!!” Sparrow of course, popped up from the side with his guitar, blowing up everyone’s eardrums in the process.

”You don’t even know what we’re talking about!” Faybelle stood up, slamming her hands on the table.

”Oh that’s no biggie, I can just tell him–“ Duchess half-joked, making Faybelle absolutely lose it.

”Yeah, yeah! Tell me!!” Sparrow smirked, urging as he went in closer to Faybelle, invading her personal space.

”Keep dreaming!” She yelled back, all three of them beginning to bicker at each other.

Raven laughed as she observed the scene from Faybelle’s table. She didn’t get what they were arguing about, but whatever Faybelle did was entertaining to her anyways.

“Okay Raven, you can stop swooning over her now.” Cerise snapped her fingers in front of her face, Raven’s cheeks turning red. “I wasn’t swooning over Faybelle.” She insisted, being rudely snapped back into reality.

”She didn’t say who! The fact that you immediately assumed Faybelle is enough! Also, the narrator is describing your every thought!” Maddie laughed, sipping from her tea as she cheered with her pet mouse, Earl Grey.

The rest of the table, consisting of Darling, Cedar, and Hunter, laughed along with them.

”Haha, very funny.” Raven rolled her eyes sarcastically, having to conceal a small smile as she did find it quite funny.

”Soo is fayven real or what?” Hunter asked curiously, pointing at Raven with a spoon fool of porridge.

”Fayven? Dude, it’s obviously ravelle.” Darling reacted at Hunter’s comment, the two being quick to argument against each other.

”Are you seriously taking these names serious?” Raven sighed, earning two fairy serious stares that screamed ‘yes’.

”Well, ravelle is prettier sounding.” Cerise agreed with Darling, the two girls passing each other a high five while laughing.

“I don’t know.. fayven is pretty elegant.” Cedar pondered, Hunter smiling brightly at Cedar’s opinion. “The girl can’t lie, we stand correct.” He stuck out his tongue towards the others, and soon the table turned into a feud between the four (or rather three, since Cedar sat back and watched).

Raven rolled her eyes,  admiring her friend’s passion for such a stupid thing. A ship name? Well, that was something.

As soon as the day was over, Faybelle stood over her locker, looking at the mirror in there. Her eyelashes were on fleek, her brows looked as wicked as always, and the tad different sense of style clicked just well with it all. It was surreal to think that she went from hating Raven Queen, to dolling up for her in just the matter of four weeks. Love does crazy as they say.

She got a hext from Raven, asking if she’d wanna meet her in her room. She said she’d teleport them to where they were going. And as skeptical as Faybelle was, she had unfortunately learned to trust the girl.

Once she knocked on the door, Raven opened almost immediately with a bright smile. Apple was in the dorm, relaxing on her bed while reading a book.

“You ready?” Raven asked as she let Faybelle walk further in.

”You gonna teleport us to the top of a waterfall on a cliff?” Faybelle teased, making Raven roll her eyes.

Raven grabbed Faybelle by the waist, holding her close as the purple smoke emitted them and they disappeared. The sudden touch made Faybelle flustered, having it made so she was unhexpectedly leaned onto Raven’s torso during it all.

“I wasn’t being serious!” Faybelle almost shrieked, seeing how Raven had actually teleported them to a whole ass fucking waterfall. She immediately grabbed onto the fabric of Ravens clothes, terrified of the sudden change in scenery being so intense. This time Raven didn’t stumble backwards, she just laughed as she allowed Faybelle to wrap herself around her.

”Asshole..”  The dark fairy muttered, her cheeks flushed from the way she’d reacted, but even more from the way Raven was unbothered.

”It’s the waterfall I first teleported us too when you first helped me with my magic four weeks ago.” Raven commented when Faybelle finally let go. Looking at the enchanting view in front of them.

”Four weeks.. time does fly.” The short girl commented, sitting down on some dry lodge, Raven right next to her.

”To think I couldn’t even cast a simple teleportation spell.” Raven laughed at herself, probably regretting that she’d mentioned that once Faybelle began speaking, “To think it was here you were flipping out because you’d teleported us the wrong place.” She practically snorted, making fun of her.

”Oh yeah? You mean when you cared for me and started comforting me, the ever so big, bad, dark fairy, Faybelle Thorn?” Raven  smirked slyly, earning a surprised and embarrassed look from Faybelle.

”Hey!” She gasped offended, playfully elbowing her.

”Ah, I apologize. I meant the ever so small, bad, dark fairy!” Raven pretended to correct herself, laughing at her own joke while Faybelle gave her a dirty look.

”I don’t remember you having the guts to be such a dick towards me.” Faybelle just scoffed, making Raven sigh dramatically. “It’s just your amazing influence, you know?”

Both the girls laughed at the other one’s jokes back and forth, the day seeming endless. The sunset was setting, just like it had that day when Raven had succeeded at her first ever teleportation spell.

Without thinking, Faybelle had let her head rest on Ravens shoulder as their laughter died down.

Raven felt her cheeks flush, absolutely terrified to make a wrong move and having Faybelle move. She stayed like that, trying to enjoy the beautiful sunset. The problem being that Faybelle was so much more beautiful than a million sunsets.

So they stayed like that, Faybelle with her head resting on Ravens shoulder. Raven who had gotten a bit bold, having loosened Faybelle’s hair from the ponytail it was tied up in, running her fingers through Faybelle’s hair while she was still leaning on her. None of them made a sound, the only confirmation Faybelle had to keep resting on Raven was the fact that she didn’t move away. And the only confirmation Raven had was the sudden fluttering sound and action that Faybelle’s wings did when she stroked her hair.

Walking up the mountain, was Briar, with Ashlynn on the drag. Briar’s favorite zipline spot was located from this mountain to the forest under them. She’d finally convinced Ashlynn to join her, only to be left confused when she saw the sight of the two girl’s sitting on the lodge.

Why was she confused? Because she didn’t know how to feel. Did she feel like her heart just got pierced by the sight, or was it another feeling.. like acceptance? Briar wanted to cry, but wasn’t sure if she actually wanted to.

“Briar, we’d we stop?–“ Ashlynn panted behind her, having finally caught up to the other girl who had suddenly stopped when she’d just reached the top.

Oh.

Ashlynn was quick to observe, seeing the two girls and then looking at Briar again.

”Briar.. are you okay?” She attempted to soothe her, walking up next to her and putting her hand on her shoulder.

”I-…” Briar attempted to speak, but no words came out. She looked at Ashlynn who stared right back at her. Her eyes were begging to cry, but nothing came out.

”Oh, sweetie.” She sighed, grabbing Briar closer and pulling her towards a hug. She buried her face into Ashlynn’s shoulder, afraid that if they made too much noise now that the two would notice them.

“I-.. I guess it’s my fault.. for helping Raven arrange something with Faybelle in the first place, right?” She whispered, already noticing the way a few voice cracks were slipping.

”It’s no one’s fault Bri, we can’t control our feelings.” Ashlynn whispered back, rubbing circles around her bffa’s back.

”I really like her, Ash.” She mumbled into Ashlynn’s shoulder, sniffling as she did.

”I know you do.. don’t worry, I got you.” She tried to reassure her, pulling away from the hug and lifting Briar’s chin up.

”We’ll go to Book-End and buy some ice cream first, sounds good?” Ashlynn suggested, and Briar just responded by nodding. It took every single bone in her body to turn around, to face away from Faybelle, but she had to.

Ashlynn looked at the two girls one last time. They looked.. perfect. But she couldn’t be admiring this right now, she had to help Briar.

🐦‍⬛❤︎︎🧚

Faybelle couldn’t take it anymore. She felt so relaxed.. so at peace. Every time Raven’s finger’s ran through her hair, slightly touching her scalp. It was such a comforting sensation, she couldn’t get enough.

Without thinking, she’d lifted her head and looked at Raven’s face. Before the taller girl could turn around, she had planted a kiss on her cheek. A very clear, pink lip stain, was visible on Ravens fairy pale skin. From Faybelle.

Faybelle had returned to her position, refusing to lift her head and face Raven, who she could feel was looking at her.

Shoot, did I just mess this up?! Does she hate me now?! I misread the moment, she’s probably mad or–

Faybelle’s thought’s were rudely interrupted, or rather preferably interrupted, once Raven had grabbed her by the chin, tilting her head upwards as to look her in the eyes.

There was a pair of eyes Raven hadn’t seen before. She’d watched as Faybelle’s eyes had transformed from imitating and fierce, to big and emphatic, all in the matter of a couple weeks. And now.. they were just Faybelle.

Both of them slowly closed their eyes as the small distance between them disappeared by the second. As if their lips were magnets, the force pulled them closer and closer.

Their lips finally collided, aligning perfectly with the sunset behind them.

As pink on purple lips touched, Raven tilted the dark fairy’s head to her preferred angle, getting the perfect amount of her.

The girls needed to pull away for air, but were physically unable to. Raven was so hungry after more of the divine taste from Faybelle’s lips, and Faybelle was no better, if not worse.

The dark fairy let her hands travel to Raven’s hair, tugging at the smooth purple and dark brown strands, tangling her fingers in it as they explored each other’s mouths.

Raven moved her hand from Faybelle’s chin to her waistband along with her other hand, wanting to pull her body closer to her own. There was little space left, but she didn’t want it to ever be an opening between them, having both their mouths intertwined and their bodies too.

Then she got even more excited, slowly pushing Faybelle down while their lips were still connecting, laying on top of her as the smaller figure had her back pressed against the lodge, fingers still ruffled in Raven’s hair.

The brown and purple haired girl showed no sign of stopping anytime soon, trying to get her tongue involved, pushing its way into Faybelle’s mouth. The girl under her furrowed her brows in surprise from the sudden force of the other one, but she was never one to back down.

Their tongues each fought for dominance, wanting to conquer the other. Raven moved both gentle and rough as the same time, while Faybelle was full of euphoria and excitement.

Raven, knowing she had Faybelle pinned down anyways, finally gave in and gave the win to the other girl, letting her tongue explore every single inch of Raven’s mouth.

The sorcerers breath hitched, granting Faybelle the permission to do whatever she wanted, feeling the sensation how having the platinum blonde’s fingers in her hair, holding onto her as she conquered her mouth at the same time.

After giving Faybelle a taste, she decided it was her turn to get something. And getting in was easier this time, letting her taste the dark fairy so much better. She could feel her sharp teeth brushing against her tongue slightly. The way Faybelle’s grip tightened on her when she kept going, exploring everything just as Faybelle had done to her.

Finally, Raven pulled away, leaving both of them a panting mess.

Faybelle looked at the girl over her, panting as she still looked at her with flushed cheeks and wild eyes. Raven looked at Faybelle who looked absolutely astonishing. Her hair was laying down on the lodge, lots of it having gotten in front of her face even. She looked like a mess. A hot and breath taking mess.

”You’re a pretty little mess.” Raven panted, looking deep into Faybelle’s eyes that widened at her words. Her mouth opened to say something, but closed again.

She kept looking at Raven, at those mesmerizing eyes that felt like they could see her every insecurity, but somehow admired them. Faybelle had to say something. The way Raven looked right now.. it was so hard to not just smash their lips together again.

”You’re..” She attempted, biting her lower lip as she scanned Raven’s face. There was so much she wanted to say.

”You’re not so insufferable after all.” She finally got out, making Raven chuckle at the words.

”Oh gee, thanks a lot.” She joked, a huge grin on her face. Faybelle couldn’t help but laugh as well, seeing the sunset reflect on Raven’s pearly white teeth.

The silence slowly faded away, the girl’s not removing their gaze from one another even once.

Raven used one of her hands to push a few strands away from Faybelle’s face, wanting to admire the pretty figure beneath her even more.

“Can we.. stay like this? Just for a little while?” Faybelle whispered, afraid of the moment escaping, the entire thing being ruined and her having to forget this.

Raven looked at her with loving eyes, smiling as she watched Faybelle embarrassingly get the words out of her mouth.

She slowly leaned in again, giving her a small kiss on the lips this time.

”I’d like that.” Raven smiled softly, chuckling after she’d pulled away. Faybelle couldn’t help the blush on her face from the unexpected reaction, but she wasn’t complaining.

So they stayed like that for a while, the time feeling like nothing more than a concept when dreaming into the other one’s eyes. Would this even work? They had noe idea. But every time their lips collided; it felt like anything could be possible.
