Chapter Text
Darius slumped against him, slightly. Hunter looked up only to see that he was fast asleep, even snoring slightly. He did his best to stifle a giggle that threatened to bubble up.
For a minute, he contemplated waking him up, but then decided against it. Both of them had a long day. Darius with work, and he with the first exams in Hexside, and a training session that the team decided to have to alleviate some stress. They were both exhausted coming back, and while sitting on the couch wasn't the best place to sleep on Hunter decided that it should be fine. At least until the movie ended. Once it wrapped up, he could wake Darius up, and both of them could sleep in their own beds.
However, if he falls on him, he is going to shake him awake. He had no desire to be crushed under him.
Hunter turned his attention back to the coffee table. Cosmic Frontiers was midway through on the crystal ball.
Before he could get comfortable and get immersed back into it, he heard the snap of a scroll camera.
The source was standing in the hallway. Eberwolf, with his scroll trained on them. He pulled it away from his face, which had a huge grin on it.
Without another word, Eberwolf jumped onto the couch and got comfortable beside Hunter.
'This is going into my favorites,' Eber whispered to not wake Darius up.
They showed him their scroll. Hunter could see both of them, illuminated by the light of the crystal ball, with Darius slightly slumped against him and Hunter looking content.
"You know that he is going to be mad when he finds out," Hunter said. And the thought didn't fill him with dread as it would have a long time ago. Instead, he felt more amused than anything.
'Let him,' Eber shrugged. Hunter watched from the corner of his eye as Eber saved the picture into a folder.
'Seen this one before?' Eber asked, pointing to the crystal ball.
Hunter shrugged. "Yeah, I just felt like rewatching it."
Without asking permission, Eber snuggled up next to Hunter.
'Want to wake Darisu up?'
"No, let him be."
