Chapter Text
You were the first to wake up between you and your partner. They must have turned around sometime in the middle of the night, since their face was now nuzzled into the dip of your chest. Your legs were entangled in a mess with each other, and you’re e muscle darms were wrapped loosely around each other. You closed your eyes again, letting yourself bask in the bliss of the morning, a little stream of light spilling into your room, thanks to the little crack in the curtains. You needed to get new ones after Curt and Rod left, since you decided it would be a good idea to get a cat. A cat who thought that the threats covering the windows was a chew toy. Sometimes you still hear from them, sometimes a phone call, sometimes a message. They seem to be happy, but they were less than pleased to hear that your animal had torn up what they were previously tethered to. Your thoughts were interrupted when your orange cat was scratching at your bedroom door. Speak of the devil. You looked down at the person peacefully asleep in your arms, and decide that she can wait outside for a bit. You kiss the top of their head and slowly feel i drift back off. You weren’t quiet asleep, but you weren’t fully awake either.
You just let yourself rest in the arms of your partner. You weren’t in any rush after all, since it was a Saturday. You had the whole day to waste away with your lover. You relished in the feeling of their body heat against your own, the weight of the covers over the both of you feeling almost too heavy to move. Eventually, your peaceful moment was broken by the feeling of Mac’s arm moving and a light groan escape their mouth. They rubbed their eyes and yawned. Their hair was an absolute birds nest. You couldn’t help but let a small chuckle escape you vocal box, muffled by you closed mouth. You leaned in and placed a soft kiss to the top of their head. They could feel the smile on your lips against their head.
”I’m still not used to this..”
Mac states, pretty much to themselves, obviously implying the feeling of grogginess and left over tired from waking up. They nuzzle closer into your chest, taking a deep breath in through their nose, and exhaling it as a sigh. You wrap your arms tighter around them, one hand firm against their back, while the other crawled up to tangle itself in their hair, gently carding through it. They hum at the feeling, the sound similar to the hums and whirls of their computer parts, when they had them, that was. The hand on their back started rubbing up and slowly in a soothing motion.
“I know, baby.”
You respond, the smile clear in your voice. You two spent maybe another hour like this, entangles with each other, slipping in and out of consciousness under the warm, thick duvet, as well as each other’s comforting embrace. Eventually, you both decided to get up, despite how badly you both wanted to stay in bed cuddling together. You had to get up and ready for the day at some point. You both sat up on your respective sides of the bed. You were the first to get up, walking over to the wardrobe, opening the door, and opening the latch to Cheese’s cage. You took some of the mouse food that was resting beside the cage and poured a little into his yellow bowl, the green pellet like things tumbling out. You gave him a little pat, almost forgetting that he had chewed through your drawer yesterday. Almost. You shut the cage and latched it back locked. You bent down and saw the leg braces and the walking cane that Mac had (yes, they had one for upstairs and downstairs). You picked up the leg braces. You had a feeling that they would want these today.
“How’re you feeling today, hun?”
You asked, turning your head around to face Mac, who was sitting up on the bed, cleaning their glasses with their black shirt that they had fallen asleep in last night. They looked at you, their green eyes tired and their black hair a bit messy. They looked between the cane and the braces that you had in front of you, debating which one they needed, seeing how they felt. They knew that if need be, you would always go and get the wheelchair for them.
Eh, not today.
”My systems aren’t that bad. I’ll just use the cane to assist me today.”
Mac responded, pointing towards the cane. Damn. You thought that you guessed correct. Whatever. You placed the leg braces down and picked up the cane. You stood up and walked over to Mac, handing them the walking device. When you handed it to them, you gave a quick peck on the lips. They reciprocated and grabbed the handle of the stick, pulling themselves up to their feet with it and walking over to the wardrobe. They grabbed looked for a moment, before settling on a pair of blue jeans as well as a shite shirt and grey hoodie. It was nothing fancy, but that was fine. They were staying home all day anyway. They walked towards the connected bathroom with their clothes, closing the door and turning on the shower. You then grabbed your own clothes, settling for a simple pair of grey track-pants, as well as a black ‘Mindless Self Indulgence’ T-shirt (you didn’t mind the music, though didn’t support the band. You had gotten this before things went south). You decided to shower tonight, not wanting to wait for Mac to finish in the shower. You peeled off your shirt that you slept in, smelling it, making at face at the stench that came from it, before throwing into the dirty washing hamper you had in your room.
As you looked at the basket, you couldn’t help but think to yourself, thank god you didn’t have to deal with Harper’s psycho ass and the constant arguments between her and Dirk anymore. You sighed in relief at the thought, knowing you’ll never have to suffer through one of her sudden, inescapable vents about how she though Dirk was getting freak with The Hanks, as well as various other objects around the house, ever again. You kicked off the pangs you slept in, throwing them into the hamper as well. Then you threw on your clean clothes, tugging the shirt over your head, it being just the slightest bit too big for you, as well as pulling up the sweats. Your head snapped to the door as it was opened. Mac walking out, their glasses ever so slightly fogged up from the steam of their showers that were hot enough to put even an Australian summer to shame, as well as their hair being damp from being towel-dried.
Your eyes couldn’t help but trail down to their chest, which was slightly sticking out in their shirt. Your eyes lingered longer than necessary, shamelessly. I mean, how could you have such an absolutely perfect partner (inside and out), and be expected to not stare at them every chance that you got. Your eyes snapped back to their face, their own a little bit red with a slight smile on their face.
“I love knowing that you like my new upgrade.”
Mac states with a slight chuckle, referring to their new, human body.
”No binder today?”
You asked, a little curious as to why they weren’t binding. I mean, it wasn’t unusual that they’d not bind, a pretty even amount of days being just a bra (more like bralette), and a binder alternating. You just didn’t expect them to not bind today for some reason. They shrugged in response as they walked a bit closer to you, their cane making a faint click, clack sound against the floor.
”I need to take breaks for optimal health, since I have a human body now.”
They explained. Ah, that made sense. You snakes a hand around their waist and let the other rest on the upper part of their chest, pulling them close. You looked down again. OKAY! That was the last time.. maybe. You couldn’t help it though! Your partner was just so.. perfect was downplaying it. There wasn’t a word to describe them. Wasn’t a thousand that could even begin to. You let the hand that was resting on their chest slide down a bit, cupping one of their small breasts. They were barely a B cup, and could get away with seeming like they had a completely flat chested if they wore a thick hoodie (though it was way too hot for that), but when they were out or away, you couldn’t help but find it impossible to look away from your partner. They were so attractive.
“I’m not complaining.”
You state jokingly as you squeeze it a bit for emphasis, causing their face to flush a furious red and pull your hand away.
”You’re gonna make my CPU overheat.”
Mac states, slight embarrassment in their voice. You chuckle softly as you retract your hands and turned behind you to softly shut the wardrobe door.
”C’mon, let’s go have breakfast.”
You state as you start walking over to the bedroom door.
”I forgot I need that..”
Mac mutters to themself, following behind you. When you open the door, your cat runs into your room the first chance she got.
Oh well, she could take a cat-nap on your bed for now.
