Chapter Text
They said…
If suffering has an end, then he will be the Deliverer.
An epic carved itself into history, the strings of lyre strummed endlessly, poems acted on stages across distant lands.
It told the story of a nameless hero of distant land who braved fate itself, unwilling to bow to any predestined paths written by the gods. Some say the hero was a valiant warrior, others say the hero was a reckless Deliverer. Still, they told the same gentle, noble, selfless, and cheerful soul.
The sun everyone seeks warmth to.
But they did not know that underneath its gentle nature, the sun was like a burning ember, carrying scorching heat to its wake, presenting molten gold to the barren land. He had long burned the world, and had long wasted his life to be the vessel of the raging fire.
How long must this game of hide and seek continue?
How long should he chase the flames?
How long must he pass the blazing torch?
A true dawn was the only thing he ever wished for, and when it was given, the numbing sensors and the barely functioning brain sparked something he was convinced had long been lost.
“This power… Unfamiliar. Who… are you…?” Of joy he could not cheer, of tears he could not produce, of relief he could not feel.
A distant hero, a true Deliverer. The true valiant warrior, the true gentle, noble, selfless, and cheerful soul.
The Nameless.
A true Nameless.
He wanted to lunge forward not to kill, but to hug; to embrace his savior, to express how grateful he was from this barely functioning brain of his to be able to meet the savior of the world– his world. But fate had another say, with barriers circling around him, he could only stare at his savior walking away, leaving him alone again.
But no matter, he knew his silent plea, his endless prayer was finally heard by the distant stars, and someone– something had sent him the true Dawn.
