Laying out two bowls Freminet stands next to the hearth's dinner table glancing from a pot on the stove and the front door, Gaming is in Fontaine so he invited him over to give him something he'd been working on and thought making food would be fair payment. A dinging noise rings through his home signaling the food finishing, and after pouring the soup into the bowls Freminet continues to wait for Gaming.
A single knock is all that Freminet needs to hear so he can know who is at the door, Gaming always knocks like that when Freminet is expecting him knowing he'd be waiting close enough to hear it. The door creaks a bit and Gaming barrels in not waiting for it to full open before hugging Freminet, with Man Chai not far behind happily floating behind it's owner. With Freminet still in his arms he asks, "What do you need to test this time Fremi?" Gaming had grown used to Freminet's tests, he'd combine magic with his tools, toys, and weapons, generally what ever caught his fancy at that given time. He says there nothing special compared to what the royal scholars especially in Fontaine make but Gaming would never call his creations bad for not being super high class.
This time Freminet seemed rather satisfied with his creation so Gaming is more curious. However Freminet instead gestures to the table, which is another thing Gaming is used to, Freminet's "payment" even with his insistence Freminet keeps making food when he asks Gaming for stuff. After some time though he gave up accepting the food as a bonus to hanging out with his boyfriend.
Sitting down Gaming takes the offered spoon and says, "Dam you made your specialty? Great you don't make it often enough." Freminet nods happy that Gaming enjoys it. Gaming takes a few bites before asking the same question as before, "So seriously what new thing have you made, you seemed pretty excited this time, well as excited a person can be over letter I guess, you're writing was a bit faster then usual that's what I mean."
Freminet puts down his spoon and gets up while saying, "Thinking about it now you should probably test it first before you eat, it does need some physical activity." Gaming does the same and follows Freminet as he goes to his room.
Quickly pushing open the door Freminet goes to his work desk where he does most his tinkering and sitting in the center of the desk is a metal lion head that Freminet hands to Gaming, "This is it, it's ment to help you when you're fighting."
Gaming tilts his head inspecting the front of it and asking, "How? Is it gonna make my attacks stronger?"
Freminet shakes his head and explains, "No it's supposed to help you deal with getting burned from Man Chai's fire. You said that every time you do you stomp attack it usually hurts from using Man Chai's fire, so I made this. When it gets super hot it'll releases a burst of cryo that should heal you, I had to ask Charlotte for help on the healing part since I'm not too good at that."
Looking at the small trinket Gaming is amazed and instantly says, "That's cool can I test it out?" Freminet nods and beckons Man Chai to come closer and, uncharacteristically, he listens. Freminet holds it up to the suanni and being capable of understanding them it releases a burst of pyro, and our of the lion head comes a cooling burst of cryo. Gaming looks amazed and instantly starts thinking of where to wear it, which makes him raise a question, "Do I like wear it or do I have to keep it on my pocket like what do I do?"
Turning it over Freminet showing there is a clip on the back, "You can attach it to your clothes it's a super strong clip it won't fall off. If you want you can paint it to match the rest of your outfit." Gaming holds it in his hands gleefully, while Freminet is happy to see that his creation actually made him happy.
As Gaming looks over all it's sides he says, "And you say you're not skilled at making stuff." Freminet thinks a protest to the claim but it dies on his tongue as seeing his boyfriend so amazed with his creation makes it not matter.
"We should probably eat the soup before someone takes it." Wearing that same proud and happy smile Gaming takes Freminet's hand while opening up a story where the trinket would have been useful.
