Yes, I know. This sounds UNBELIEVABLY stupid. Bear with me for a bit. I’m about to blow something up if I don’t let this out some way.
My dad has control issues. No other way of saying it, he cannot stand to have a situation in someone else’s hands or to not know what his kids are doing (and there are a lot of us, how he hasn’t given up yet is a wonder). He and I disagree on a lot of stuff and fight almost every time we see each other and he still insists that I should be listening to him and making my decisions based on his opinions because “they’re what’s best for me”.
However, not only am I a fucking adult, but before this year, I hadn’t even seen him in the previous 3 years! And he’s trying to claim that he can tell me what to do cause he’s my father or whatever legal bullshit. By the way, I’m legally dead. I DO NOT exist legally, so he’s just trying to manipulate me into thinking he has power over me.
And he will NOT let it go, any time I do anything he disagrees with (from my job and how I do it to the people I hang around), he breaks into my apartment to lecture me. Pretty sure we’ve been getting so loud during our fights that my deaf neighbour heard us.
This man could not care less about me three years ago outside of how different I was from his eldest, and now that I’m back he’s suddenly trying to pretend he cares???? And thinks he can decide for me????
I’m this close to pulling a gun on-sight the next time he breaks into my apartment.
