I bet a lot of people are surprised to see an update on this fic, and I do apologize that it's not a silly chapter. There's much to discuss.
I want to start out by thanking everyone for being so patient with this mess of a fic. I see every little comment and they're all appreciated! I started this silly thing almost 5 years ago now and it's kinda insane to think about how far it's come.
Now, for the update.
As we all know, Silksong is out! I've played through most of it, and it certainly adds a large variety of characters to the roster. Amazing game, for sure.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure what the future holds for this fic. I've recently made the decision to step away from the Hollow Knight fandom for good. Multiple bad experiences ranging from past friends to just my own mental health has really dulled my want to make content for it. I don't interact with the fandom too much anymore, and am beginning to become more and more offline as my life moves on to the next stages. Hollow Knight just doesn't sit high on my list of priorities at this moment, and I doubt it will again. It's an amazing game soured by a bad experience in its spaces.
With all this being said, I'm putting this on hiatus until I figure out what to do. This isn't officially cancelled, not yet. I just have to stew with everything before I commit to a decision. If I do decide to close this fic for good, you will all know before I do.
