Chapter Text
.
"Thud." Till threw himself onto his bed exhausted, looking up at the ceiling. It was white and smooth, as if like a blank canvas ready for him to pour all his thoughts into.
Till replayed his memories from that day:
That face that Ivan made.... he looked sad almost, like a puppy and it's like I wanted to... hug him? WHAT. NO, THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME.... I can't think that— that's..... he..... ugh there's no point in denying it... I think a part of me still thinks of him as a friend regardless. Stupid me, he "abandoned" you.
But, I guess being on ok terms with him again wouldn't be that bad... not like i missed his company or anything,,,

Till woke up to his alarm blaring in his ear giving him a headache— as usual. He begrudgingly got out of bed, changed, and went down to eat breakfast.
"Good morning," Till's mum greeted, the smell of toasted bread drifted through the air as he stepped into the kitchen
"Morning."
"Your breakfast is on the table and here's your lunch." The brown paper bag crinkled as Till grabbed it, and he watched as his mum went to go get ready herself. The breakfast was enough, just a piece of toast with butter. Somehow it tasted better, maybe just because his mum made it.
He scarfed down his breakfast and slung his bag on his shoulder as he went out the door saying goodbye to his mum and walked to school
Till hesitated for a while standing outside the gates of his school, not ready to face Ivan after what he said to him the day before,
what if Ivan thought I'm a loser, what if I just lost another person that tolerated me.... WHAT IF HE THINKS IM SECRETLY AN ANGRY CHIHUAHUA IN DISGUISE ?!
.....Till sighed and mustered up the courage to go inside anyway after contemplating his whole entire identity.
Everyone had already sat down for roll call, still chatting whilst they waited for the teacher to start.
"Hey Mizi, where's Ivan?" Till asked. Mizi sighed.
"Not sure, maybe he's late. I know for sure Sua's here's though — wait didn't you, like... hate him the other day?" Till was about to say something but then brushed it off and sunk into his chair, that's when all of a sudden Ivan burst in panting.
"Sorry I'm late." He took the spot next to Mizi. Ivan looked disheveled, with eye bags and messy hair, yet he STILL looked good.
"Woah dude, what happened to you?" Mizi asked.
"I forgot to study and my dad yelled at me," Ivan replied. He said it like it was a normal occurrence, but for Till and Mizi this was something new.
"What? Your dad sounds awful, it's not even exam week, why would you be studying?!?" Mizi ranted.
The teacher then started roll call and quieted everyone down. while everyone's names were getting called out, Till was overthinking that one particular day...
I really shouldn't have lashed out like that, he had no choice on how busy he was and he's not really stealing Mizi.. He's just friends with her, now I feel terribl—
"Uh Till, the teacher called out your name....twice." Mizi interrupted "Oh..." Till snapped out of it "I'm here" Till told the teacher raising his hand, this wasn't a good look for Till because it seems like it was going to become a regular occurrence.
Lunch came around faster than Till thought, walking with Mizi, Sua and Ivan to their table, They sat down Mizi and Sua obviously sitting with each other leaving Till to sit with Ivan.
It wasn't bad, not as bad as the first time this happened Till managed to actually tolerate him for once but Ivan felt a bit off, Instead of teasing and trying to talk with Till he just ate his lunch in silence, Till just thought it was because of his dad but I think he knew deep down that there was something else.
Till spent the next few classes debating on wether to actually apologize or protect his pride until he saw Ivan walking down the street when school ended.

Ivan's eyes widened as Till dragged him by the wrist, it was a average park somewhat desolate with the exception of people walking their dogs and a couple kids running around, Till sat Ivan down on a nearby bench and stood in front of him, he hesitated for a while before finally committing.
"So, I just want to get this over with.... I'm sorry"
"What?"
"I'm— Ugh Sorry okay I was thinking about how much of a dick i was yesterday and... I don't really want us to be on bad terms anymore it's, weird."
Ivan looked at Till, he almost couldn't believe it, Till apologizing to him?
"Why the switch up" Ivan asked crossing his arms, a slight smirk almost reaching his face
"I just realized that you didn't actually do anything bad to me yet i acted as if you killed my mother..."
Ivan stayed silent for a moment
"So are we cool now?"
Ivan sighed with a grin and then looked up at Till, "Sure, I guess I can tolerate your anger issues" he smiled
"Shut up" Till responded but sat down anyway
"I'm sorry too, for not telling you before that my dad made me do all these extracurriculars and that i was really busy..."
"....Yeah thanks for clearing that up now dipshit"
Till suddenly felt a wave of relief, i guess it didn't hurt his pride that much. They stayed there, looking out at the park listening to the world around them, as if time itself stopped for these two homosexuals,
*Ding *
Ivan glaced at his phone and his eyes widened
"Ah... Sorry Till i gotta go, football practice y'know " He grabbed his bag and stood up
"See you tomorrow the— Gah! I might be late, Bye!" Abruptly waving at Till as he ran off
Till sighed "Have fun playing with balls and other guys" he sneered hoping Ivan didn't catch his disappointed expression when he left
Till bit his lip and he lowered his head, his hands fiddling with one another
The feeling felt bitter, it was like he actually cared for that guy, they made up and now Ivan just left... again.
" That stupid idiot Ivan..."
