Chapter Text
Everything was set into motion, the new group who Nino dubbed them as the Bug Catcher's. Everyone else was neither to tired or cared about the name, even if Luka did let out a small chuckle. The plans were all set and discussed, for the whole day at school Adrian made sure he kept his distance from Marinette and most of the girl squad. Thankfully Nino, Juleka and Chloe all kept a sharp lookout just in case. The new group chat which Luka made was a great way to keep everyone up to date in case they saw or heard anything unusual.
School was going fine up until lunch when to no one's shock there was another Akuma attack, Adrian wasn't sure who it was in the beginning due to the chaos and people running around. Thankfully with some help from Nino he was able to slip in the boys bathroom to transform into Chat Noir. Running to the cafeteria the Akuma villain named VENGEANCE was tossing tables all over, a small crowd of students who didn't make it out had huddled against a corner. Vengeance outfit was a all white jumpsuit with a chain made out of glowing energy wrapped around her waist, black steel toe boots made her a few inches taller. Her face had a white ying and yang mask with one side being white and the other black.
The fight was long since Ladybug didn't show up until towards the end of the fight. As usual it was his fault that she miss her throw and her yo-yo missed Vengeance by a few inches, he was even more mad when she had the audacity to use him as a human shield as Vengeance used a powerful ice beam at them. Using his baton he hosted them up as the beam froze the bottom of the baton. Ladybug didn't even give him a thanks, instead she pushed off of him and acted like he messed up. They weren't in sync which was painfully obvious to anyone who knew how to fight, Ladybug refused to cover his six or listen to any of his idea's. Because of that all he was able to do was keep avoiding ice blasts.
It had taken almost 2 hours to defeat Vengeance, it had taken another 20 to calm down the Akuma victim. The victim was a slightly younger teen named Molly, her family had moved to Paris from America the begging of the school year. Chat knew this because he Ironically had talked to her not long before she was Akumatized. Ladybug didn't check if Molly was ok she just told the frightened teen that she had caused a lot of damage before using her Lucky charm to use the miracle cure to fix everything. She didn't even stay after casting the charm, if she did she would've notice that somethings that was broken during the fight weren't fixed.
Chat notice immediately, things like the smashed table he was thrown into hadn't been fixed, nor the cars that were smashed or frozen still. Focusing on Molly the younger girl had wrapped herself into a small ball crying, he simply held her until the ambulance came. Physically she was alright but mentality she was a wreck. He made a few cat jokes to make her smile, she was able to calm down when he held her hand as she sat down in the Ambulance. Looking at her cry broke his heart, he hated Monarch for doing this to people. Especially to kids!
Molly was able to tell him what had caused her to be Akumatized. A older teenager had followed her in the girl's bathroom during lunch and had locked them inside, the older girl had accused Molly of trying to 'seduce" her man and threatened her to leave him alone. Thing is Molly didn't even know who this man was and the older girl had snapped at her, screaming that everyone knows who her man is. Before Molly could even think of who the older teen had grabbed Molly by her throat and slammed her into the stall. Like the bathroom door she had locked them in the stall, a wicked smile on the older teens face.
Molly had tried to scream for help but the older girl had dunked her entire head into the toilet, flushing it so Molly's screams were muffled by the toilet flushing. Molly wasn't sure who had came in since the bathroom door was locked but someone had kicked open the stall and dragged Molly out from the toilet. The last thing Molly remembers before the black butterfly came was a older teen with blonde and pink hair was the one who saved her. Chat felt like someone had pierced his own heart with a ice dagger and then proceed to stomped on it.
Someone had almost drowned a 13 year old over someone's boyfriend, he had held her hand a little tighter as he had asked her if she knew who the two older people were. Molly wasn't sure about the second girl with the blonde and pink hair but the first one who had almost drowned her she knew. The class representative Marinette Dupain-Cheng was the one who had attacked her.
The blonde cat hero was left speechless. He promised Molly he would take care of things before he left her with the paramedics, going back to school he saw the trail of destruction that was only half fixed. Marinette who was also ladybug, she had sworn to save and protect the people of Paris and yet...
Yet she's becoming the very thing she swore to defeat!
How far she has fallen in her obsession is tragic, if things hadn't gotten this bad he would've wanted to help her but now. Chat would be a blind cat if he couldn't see the obvious danger she is and he has a suspicion as to why her Lucky charm didn't fully work. When he had gotten back to school Plagg had confirmed his suspicion, the power of the Ladybug is being corrupted by Marinette's twisted desire. The balance of creation is staring to crumble and its starting to rear its ugly head. That's why some of the damage Vengeance had left wasn't fixed, another thing he would have to fix.
Thankfully due to the Akuma attack and the left over damage that wasn't repair most of his schedule was clear, school was let out early which is the first time Adrian would ever say he was grateful to have less school. By the time Adrian had found everyone else Zoe was telling everyone what Marinette had done to Molly and how she had to stop her from drowning the kid. Adrian had filled in with what he had learned from his battle, especially with how the Miraculous of the Ladybug was starting to become corrupted and loose its power.
Now its nearing 9:30 and Chat Noir was left standing to protect all of Paris from Monarch and Ladybug, everyone was in their designated places waiting. Chloe had complained about how this better not take so long, Chat was grateful for the small distraction. The pressure of being one out of two of Paris's hero's had never truly bothered him since he had a partner, but now he felt alone. Plagg had told him he was proud of him, that he has proven himself capable and worthy of the ring of destruction. Everyone was counting on him to not only keep his ring but take Marinette's Miraculous and end Ladybug, one way or another someone will be loosing their Miraculous tonight.
Looking down on the Eiffel tower the lights looks nice at night, the quite night was replaced by the sound of Ladybug's yo-yo. Its time to settle things now, standing up he looks at the former Ladybug hero who has a scowl on her face. No one had said anything as the tension in the air grew, Chat probably could've Cataclysm it with how thick it was.
"Your on time for once, about time you listened to me alley cat". Ladybug had snarled out the backhanded complement to him. He just kept his mouth shut, letting her speak and get herself more distracted. Everyone was in their respective positions, Chat using his ear piece listened in on everyone. Zoe had already intersected Rose, Ladybug was looking around waiting for Rose to come. "Listen up Chat I'm not going to repeat myself so listen closely, you have proven yourself unfit to wield your Miraculous so I'm demanding you hand over the ring"
Lifting her hand up for him to give her his ring, like that would ever happen. " Sorry but no can do Ladybug, I'm quite fond of my Miraculous and Plagg" Chat kept a neutral but defiant look as Ladybug slowly lowered her hand, face unreadable. "What have I done that has lead you to believe I'm unfit to be a hero or keep my Miraculous, last I checked unlike you my powers weren't failing due to my behavior"? If she wanted to play the blame game let her, he'll give her a chance to say what she has to. Hopefully she doesn't get mad enough and cause herself to be Akumatized, then again when has luck ever be on his side?
Ladybug glared at him, face getting red at being called out "Careful with what you say Chat Noir, we wouldn't want something to happen to your 8 other lives after all". Her Voice coming out in a threatening manner, he wasn't scared nor frighten by her attempt at threating him. If the situation was any different he would've laughed at her failed attempt to make him scared.
"Don't make any kind of promises you cant keep Ladybug, I've never been scared of you before and I never will". Letting his shoulders shrug "After all why should a cat be afraid of a small insect like you"?
Ladybugs expression darkened as she slowly reached for her yo-yo, Chat never took his eyes away from her. "I will not repeat myself, you can give me your Miraculous now or else ill take it from you". Her hand now gripping her yo-yo tightly as she slowly started walking towards him. Her bluebell eyes started to flicker between blue to red.
Chat reached for his baton, shoulders and body tensed as he was prepared to fight her. "You still haven't told me what I've done to be untrustworthy, now your here threatening me if I don't comply with your orders" pointing his baton at the former hero "This isn't the ladybug who I used to call my partner, she would never threaten me or take someone's Miraculous without a good reason".
"You don't know a thing about me or the sacrifices I've made Chat" said Ladybug slowly
" That's because Fu trained you only, I was never treated equally nor given the same faith he had in you" Chat remembered how Fu barley told him anything, always keeping secrets behind his back like one day he may become a threat. "All my life people have kept secrets from me, you out of all people also has lied to me more then once".
"That's because you were never trust worthy in the begging you idiot, I cant believe it took me this long to realize you was the one holding me back" ladybug replied sharply. "I've realized that I could've used Gimmi and made things right with the wish, all the sacrifices I've made with hawk bitch will be corrected" spreading her arms out as she did a small twirl with her foot. "I'm the only one who sees the potential for a better life, a life where I'll get my happy ending with my soulmate". At this point ladybug had started to get loud, half of the team didn't even need their ear pieces to hear her rant.
Chat knew what her wish would be and the future it'll cause thanks to Bunnyx warning him. Ladybug didn't seem to notice him cringing at the thought of her twisted fantasy. "We both agreed we would never use the wish Ladybug NEVER, we both know the wish comes with a sacrifice" Chat tried to warn her. Not shockingly it went def on her as she was lost in her thoughts, wait was actually starting to drool? Indeed Ladybug was so into her fantasy with Adrian she had her mouth open with drool slowly coming down her chin. "You uh your drooling now and its creeping me out" he pointed out.
Ladybug had realized she was in fact drooling quickly rubbed her arm to rub off the drool. Her face went from dreamy back to mad as she looked at him "Whatever my future husband doesn't mind that I space out, he's soooo perfect and understanding he would simply wipe my face for me and not say anything as we kiss" Ladybug dreamily said as Chat wanted to throw up his meager dinner. "Then once I'm done drooling he would pick me up and carry me to our bed, he would let me take charge as we make love all ni-".
"Do you honestly think Adrian would want a stalker to go anywhere near him Marinette"? Chat simply asked quietly.
Ladybug trotted a few steps back, eyes wide as she realized he knew her identity. "H-how did you find out I've always been so careful making sure no one would ever find out, how out of all people did you find out"?
"Its simple, Adrian isn't naïve as you may think he is" Chat responded since its technically true, he did find out about her as Adrian first. "All the times you would act weird around him or threaten other people who talk to him, the new Akuma we fought today her name was Molly and she was Akumatized because YOU threatened her for talking to Adrian". He would make sure he would go and apologize to her as Adrian, since he did generally like talking to her and since Marinette is crazy about him he did feel it was part of his fault Molly had gotten hurt. "You have fallen so low to hurt kids now Marinette, and for what Adrian to love you"?
"You lie, unlike you Adrian Agreste is the most caring, humble, understanding man alive so he wouldn't have said anything unless"! Ladybug had gone quite before her eyes fully turned red, her teeth grinding in rage with whatever fantasy she had come up. "You FUCKING MONSTER" Ladybug roared "You must've filled his head with lies just like all those other whore's who try to use him, me and him are meant to be forever and ever".
Chat was offended that she thought he would ever try to use a civilian for his gain. "LOOK AT YOURSELF YOURE BECOMING LIKE MONARCH, the very same person you swore to defeat and bring peace to all of Paris". Chat didn't want to fight her, yes she was a stalker and had done some questionable things but he would like to have things settled with as little blood shed as possible. "We both agreed to defeat him and reclaim all the Miraculous he stole,
Ladybug started twirling her yo-yo as she lunged at him, eyes blazing a deadly red in the night. Using his enhanced speed he jumped over her before delivery a swift kick to her back. That seemed to only make her even madder as she turned around trying to use her yo-yo to lasso him, using his baton he hosted himself in the air to get away from the yo-yo. The fight for creation and destruction had started and both holders knew only one would remain.
Ladybug kept up her attacks trying to swipe at him with her yo-yo, Chat needed distance so with a backflip he jumped off the Eiffel tower. The cool air felt nice on his face as he felt gravity pulling him down, ladybug had also jumped off chasing after him. He waited before the very last moment before slamming his baton in the ground to stop his fall. Thanks to his sensitive hearing he heard the yo-yo coming at him quicker then he could with his normal hearing, twisting his body the yo-yo missed its target inches from his head. "You was chosen to be Ladybug the keeper of peace and good Luck, Ladybug doesn't hurt or control people for her own benefit's".
Using the opportunity he grabbed the yo-yo and pulled at it, causing ladybug to go flying straight into him.
Slamming his knee into her stomach he felt her bend over in pain, dropping her yo-yo as she hunched over gasping for breathe. "You may be the guardian but that doesn't mean I was sitting on my ass, I was training before I even had my Miraculous". Fencing was something he was glad Gabriel had let him continue with, when his mom had disappeared doing some basic workouts had helped keep his mind focus when he would spiral. "You're going to have to try harder then that if you want to beat me".
"Grrr Y-you think I-Ill go down that easy"? Ladybug tried to sideswipe him with her leg, he simply flipped over her like last time before extending his baton into her lower back. The baton causing her to fly face first into a brick building, the impact left a Ladybug size hole. A small groan came from the hole, hopefully the owner of the building wont be to mad.
Leaning on his Baton he waited as Ladybug manage to extract herself from said hole, her suit and hair was covered in dust from when she 'collided' with the wall of the building. "You cant win this Marinette the simple truth is I'm a better fighter and my powers are working just fine while yours's aren't, please lets end this now and no one can get hurt" Chat tried to plead with the crazed out Ladybug. "You've hurt enough people already, do you think Tikki is ok with any of this"?
Ladybug was so lost in her twisted desires she hadn't realize how bad she was treating her own kwami, the only thing on her mind was one thing. Adrian Agreste in a all white suit and tie standing at the alter as she walked towards her future husband. The only two people standing in her way was her former partner and Monarch, Tikki never supported her since that stupid little bug doesn't know what TRUE LOVE was and never will."Tikki doesn't know anything, like you she also conspired against my love but all of that will change here and now". With another yell she lunged at Chat again.
Chat jumped away as she sailed past him, unfortunately he forgot about her yo-yo as she snatched it from the ground. Twirling her yo-yo fast enough it started cutting through everything in its path. Cars, street signs ,poles were all cut down as she ran towards him. Gritting his teeth he met her yo-yo with his staff, both weapons causing a mixture of green and red energy to omit as they clashed with one another. Not wanting anything else to get destroyed because of Ladybug he leaped up on a random building, wanting to take this battle to the higher ground.
Pressing a claw to his ear piece "What's it looking like she's hot on my tail"? It took a moment before Zoe's voice came through.
"Rose is apprehended and we have the potion, she uh was willing to help after she was no longer awake" said Zoe voice flat with a hint of mischief.
"Do I even want to know what you did or is knowing nothing the better option"? Chat asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I mean a long metal bat is effective for a good scare, right sis"? Chloe just hummed in agreement as her younger sister just admitted to potentially threating someone with a metal baseball bat. Well shit, who knew Zoe had a dark side? Maybe when she was Kitty Noir some of Plagg's influence remand within her? He could hear Plagg crackling in laughter inside his head, yep defiantly Plagg's influence. God damnit Plagg!
"Ugh relax kitty my sister wouldn't be caught having any blood from that Disney wannabe princess on her" Chloe coolly replied
Somehow that didn't reassure him. "Chloe we don't need two of yo-" Chat couldn't finish his sentence as Ladybug threw a freaking mailbox at him, dodging it as it almost slammed into his head. "We'll talk later about that, for now Bunnyx let me know when you have the potion from Zoe I'll be by the old power plant". If all goes well this game of cat and bug will be ending soon.
Chat kept running across rooftops as Bunnyx did her thing and got the potion and Zoe, Ladybug kept throwing whatever objects her yo-yo grabbed at him. Further ahead the old power plant stood, having been shut down for maintenance there was no one inside. He had a few other places that was abandon just in case if the chase had lead them somewhere else in Paris, he was really trying to make sure no one got hurt in this but his gut was telling him that wont be the case very much longer. Landing on top of the roof he saw across the glass roof was a glass bottle that had a green substance in it, probably the potion he needs to end this.
Running towards the bottle he was inches from it when he felt the yo-yo wrapping around his waist. Before he could Cataclysm the string he was yanked hard onto the glass roof, red feet met his eyes as he felt the roof slowly crack underneath them. Ladybug didn't waste any time as she tried to go for his ring, her foot on his chest as they struggled. "Give it up you mangey cat you cant stop my destiny, I will have Adrian and together we will have our 3 kids and a hamster" Ladybug had
Chat nearly choked on his spite as he heard her say kids "3 Kids aren't you idk rushing things, especially since you never even asked if he wanted kids in the first place" Chat had added. Chat had rolled on his side as he grabbed Ladybug's arm, using the momentum to slam her into the ground as the glass roof kept cracking underneath them. "Is this the person you actually want to be in life, someone who cant tell reality from fantasy"? Chat asked hoping his words would reach her.
Ladybug glared at him as they pushed away from each other "Tch like you know anything about love you fucking loser, the moment we got our Miraculous you had done nothing but flirt and try to kiss me for how long"? Ok so she was right about the crush part, up until recently he was in love with Ladybug but now all of that love is gone. "Unlike you Adrian actually knows how to treat a women with love and respect, maybe that's why your mother left you since you cant treat wom-. Ladybug couldn't finish her sentence as her jaw was met with his baton, he swung hard.
The very thought of Marinette mentioning his mother like that defiantly lit the fire in him. Up until now he was simply trading blows or dodging but now, she just crossed the line. Ladybug was shocked as she held her jaw, thankfully it wasn't broken but the same couldn't be said for the rest of her body. Grabbing her by the throat he started to squeeze as he slammed her head into the glass roof. The cracks only grew bigger as he kept slamming her head repeatedly. He trusted her with that knowledge of his mother when they first started working together and she had the NERVE to say she left because of him.
SLAM, she didn't make any kind of noise.
SLAM, a gasp as he kept slamming her head.
SLAM, a cry as she realized he wouldn't stop.
SL- The slam never finished as the glass roof finally broke, both holders falling through with glass falling all over them. Both were mostly protected from the shards thanks to their suits but the areas that weren't covered like their faces got cut up. Chat fell on his back, he landed hard on a piece of machinery. Something had dug into his back but thankfully nothing had pierced through, using his arms to shield himself from the broken glass. A small cut on his left cheek and bottom lip which drew blood, besides that he was fine. His ear piece was on the floor, destroyed by the glass smashing into it.
Ladybug was dazed from her skull being slammed so she wasn't able to stop herself from falling. She landed on her left shoulder, a cracking sound was heard. A big shard of glass had cut across her forehead as she lay on the ground. Both holders didn't move for a few moments, both stunned from what happened moments ago. Chat had calmed down a bit and Ladybug was holding her head, both were hurt emotionally and physically. Looking up at the new 'sky light' they had made, Chat wondered how things could've gotten so bad between them. Sure he was a big flirt but most of the time he was only teasing, he would never actually force someone to love him.
Slowly turning to his right side he looked at Ladybug who now was laying on her back. Both stayed silent just breathing hard, he knew her shoulder was most likely broken since he did hear the crack. His back was probably bruised all over, trying to get up was a bitch. "Are you done yet Marinette"? Chat asked quietly.
Ladybug turned her head as she glared at him, her face covered in blood. "Never". Standing up she looked around, her yo-yo was somewhere lost in the dark and since she didn't have nigh vision she was basically flying blind in the dark. The only light was from the moons light casting over them. Unknown to both holders a piece of glass had slashed across one of the machine, causing it to start sparking.
Chat jumped to his feet as he grabbed his baton, it was time to end not just this fight but Marinette the stalker. Both beaten and bruised holders circled each other for a moment, waiting for the other to strike. Ladybug had pounced first, he dodged her attack. He went to swing his baton but Ladybug turned around and kicked his baton out of his hand. Lady luck wasn't on no one sides since Ladybug had kicked his baton straight into the machine that was sparking. Once the baton went in it caused a short in the electricity, the blast caused from it rocked the whole town.
Both holders were blown back as the power plant erupted in a ball of orange and yellow, the night sky was filled with a an inferno blast. The heat coming from the raging fire had melt a few peoples cars or caught nearby homes on fire. Bunnyx was getting Chloe when the blast happened, both girls eyes went wide as they saw the power plant erupt in a blaze of fire. None of them said anything but watched as things lit up all over them. Neither of them knowing if Adrian had survived the blast. Bunnyx ran straight towards the fire, not knowing Chloe was following her. For once in a long time Chloe was ready to put herself in danger for her brother Adrian. She just got him back there was No way was she going to loose him again, fire and her clothes can be damned.
As for Chat Noir and Ladybug both were surrounded by a wall of fire, burns and more cuts had covered the two. Both refusing to back down until they had the other persons Miraculous. Both stood on a small section on the roof that hadn't been blown away, both were coughing due to the smoke around them. Ladybug had somehow found her yo-yo tried using her Lucky charm to no avail, as the fire slowly started spreading towards them. Both holders were locked into a deep staring match.
"THIS IS FUCKING INSANE MARRINETTE LOOK AROUND YOU, ALL OF THIS AND FOR WHAT A BOY WHO DOESNT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOU"? Chat roared over the flames. IT'S OVER NOW YOU CANT EVEN USE YOUR LUCKY CHARM TO FIX ANY OF THIS".
Ladybug just started right back at him meeting his glaze "I DONT CARE YOU RUINED EVERYTHING, YOU CAUSED ADRIAN TO THINK BAD OF ME AND RUINED ALL OF MY PLANS" A piece of shrapnel fell behind her as she continued to scream. "YOU COULDNT HANDLE SOMEONE ELSE BEING WITH ME, YOU CAUSED MY BELOVED KING TO HATE ME- TO THINK I-IM SOME KIND OF MONSTER"
"THATS BECAUSE YOU ARE A MONTSER MARINETTE,NORMAL PEOPLE DONT HAVE THEIR CRUSHE'S ENTIRE SCHEDULE FOR THE NEXT YEAR OR THREATEN OTHER PEOPLE THEY TALK TO"! Ladybug kept glaring as she refused to listen to rational thoughts, in her head she was right. Sadly because she was so lost it would cause her only pain for the future, her future would be ruined by a single action. As the small section they stood on started to crumble Chat jumped onto a nearby roof that wasn't up in flames, Ladybug tried to capture him with her yo-yo but the yo-yo like her Lucky charm didn't work anymore.
As Bunnyx jumped onto the other side of the roof Chat was on down below Chloe was looking up thankfully Adrian was still alive. Bunnyx had the rest of the Bug Catcher's go knocking on other people's doors making sure everyone was able to evacuate their homes. Ladybug nor Chat didn't notice Bunnyx behind them, to focus on the climax of their battle.
"IT'S OVER MARINETTE IVE BEATEN YOU, SURRENDER SO WE CAN END THIS CHAOES". Ladybug refused to listen, yes she was surrounded by a wall of fire and Chat Noir did have the higher ground advantage. But she had the power of Luck on her side all she had to do was force it out. Channeling her powers from deep within a reddish aura started to surround her as she forced more and more of Tikki's magic into herself. She faintly heard Tikki in her mind ,trying to warn her not to use her powers anymore. Something about feedback and blah blah blah.
With a step back she was getting ready to jump, Chat notice what she was about to do. "MARINETTE DONT DO IT, DONT TRY IT" Chat had pleaded to no avail. Ladybug with a grunt leaped high into the sky as the ground under neither her fell apart. Her Luck quickly ended as it started to short circuit, she started to spasm in the air, as she landed she hit the edge of the roof. Falling down a beam from the plant collapsed into two piece's, the first beam landed on her left arm while the second one fell on both of her legs trapping her.
The fight was over now, with Marinette trapped all was left was to get her Miraculous and fix everything. Since Marinette had abused her powers her Luck was now turning against her, giving her its own form of revenge some could call it. As Chat and Bunnyx landed next to Chloe the only thing Chat Noir could think of was all the damage Marinette had caused. Looking down as his former partner was still struggling to get up something broke within him.
Standing in front of her looking down all he could see was the monster she let herself become, her eyes were still a dark blood red as she tried clawing at him with her only available arm. Fallen to his knees he let all of his pain out as he started to wail. "YOU WERE LADYBUG THE HERO PARIS LOOKED UP TO, YOU SWORE TO DEFEAT MONARCH NOT BECOME HIM-YOU WAS SUPPOSED TO BRING LIGHT TO HIS SHADOW NOT CAST EVERYONE INTO MORE DARKNESS". Ladybug could only stare as her red eyes started to cry. "YOU AND ME WERE THE BUG AND CAT TEAM, YOU WAS MY EQUAL MY OTHER HALF AND YET YOU THREW IT ALL AWAY-THREW ME AWAY.
The tears kept coming as Chat started to cry, Bunnyx and Chloe let him have his say but also kept an eye out for any Akumas."ALL THE BATTLES WE FOUGHT SIDE BY SIDE AND YET YOU REPLACED ME WITH OTHER HOLDERS,TREATING ME LIKE IM SOME KIND OF FUCKING SIDEKICK.
"C-ha-t, Pl-ease help m-e it hu-rts" Ladybug pleaded as she held her hand up for Chat to hold, her eyes going back to blue as she started to realize she may have messed up. All he had to do was help her and together they'll fix everything and things can return to normal, right? End the pain and let herself properly explain everything to him, she never meant to treat him like a sidekick.
Chat Noir just gave her a sad look as he shook his head "You've done to much damage Marinette even if I did forgive you things would never be the same again, I loved you but now you made your own grave and have to deal with the consequence's on your own".
If it wasn't for the fire around them Ladybug would've felt her chest fill with ice, Chat Noir her most trusted partner wasn't going to help her. Just leave her like this, broken and all alone? Her eyes turned back to red as she felt the most amount of hate she's ever felt before take over her. Struggling to free herself she looked at Chat Noir, she could barley say anything as the flames started creeping closer and closer. Using the last of her strength she has left Marinette's last words as Ladybug would forever ring in everyone's head for different reason's.
"I FUCKING HATE YOU!" Marinette screamed before a secondary explosion went off. Chat, Bunnyx and Chloe were all blown away as Marinette's screams were heard. Chat felt himself slam into something as his vision started to blur, The last thing he sees was Chloe running before blacking out. Then pure silence and darkness was his companion for however long.
When he came to he expected to see fire and smoke, instead he found himself back in the burrow. His whole body ached as he tried sitting up, he could hear voices as his vision and hearing were slowly catching up with him.
"Kit take it easy your all right now your safe, the battle is over" Adrian was certain that was Plagg's voice since no one else sounded like his kwami. It took a few minutes for everything to come through, finally his senses came back. Chloe and Alix both looked equally tired, Tikki was sitting on Chloe's shoulder. Plagg was hovering next to him, his small face filled with concern and relief upon seeing his holder/kit awake. Flying to him Plagg starts rubbing against Adrian's cheek while letting out quite purrs, Chloe and Alix walk over to him as they both give him a huge. Careful of his injuries they don't lay to much weight on him.
"I thought I lost you Adrikins, don't EVER scare me like that again do you hear me"? Chloe started crying as she held him, Adrian wrapped his left arm around her giving her a small squeeze. Alix didn't say anything as she just stayed quite while also hugging him. If he heard her sniffling well no one needed to know that small detail. Tikki and Plagg has burrowed themselves into his hair which felt nice. They stayed hugging for a while before Adrian started coughing as he tried to speak.
Chloe let go as she ran and got him a bottle of water, twisting the top off she gave it to Adrian who gratefully took it. The cool water felt refreshing for his sore throat as he drained the whole bottle within seconds, it took another water bottle before his throat didn't feel as itchy."W-wha ha-?" Adrian still had some difficulty speaking.
This time Alix spoke up, her face had a sad haunted look as she held his hand. "Adrian we was successful in getting the earing's from Marinette but it came at a cost though, I think it would be better if I showed you what happened after you was knocked out if that's ok with you"?
Adrian nodded his head as Alix transformed back into Bunnyx, still holding his hand she helped him stand before walking to one of the portals. Chloe held his other hand as adrian started watching the scene unfold.
As Marinette just screamed she hates him a second explosion happened, knocking all three teens off of their feet. Chat Noir had been knocked out as his head hit the pavement, Chloe who was the furthest from the explosion was able to get back up. Bunnyx had been slammed into a nearby car was rendered dazed, Marinette's screams were still heard over the raging inferno. Sirens could be heard but they wouldn't be able to do much, only the Ladybugs Lucky charm could stop all of this.
Chloe wasn't sure why but something within her had told her to run, to brave through the flames and get the earing's and put a stop to all of this. And that's what the blonde did, using Bunnyx's umbrella to shield herself Chloe pushed through the scorching heat and flames. Her feet and legs burned but she didn't stop nor falter, reaching her target she found Marinette screaming as her whole back was engulfed in flames. Dropping the now ruined umbrella Chloe didn't bat an eye as she quickly removed both earing's from Marinette.
As Tikki flew out of the Miraculous Chloe with hands shaking had slipped both earing's in as Tikki told her what to do. A few minutes later Paris which was a giant inferno had a bunch of Ladybugs come and fix everything. The night now quite again, most of everything that was destroyed or burnt was now fixed. The old power plant looked like no one had even touched it, the streets and building were all back to normal now. Bunnyx now healed thanks to the miracle cure looked up at a figure in a red jumpsuit with black dots on it.
Bunnyx thought it was Ladybug until she noticed the blonde hair flowing, Paris was saved that night. It was all thanks to Chat Noir Paris's own loveable cat themed hero, and his new partner Lady Clover the new Ladybug Miraculous holder.
