Chapter Text
Michelle watched as her younger brother dumped his new Lego set pieces on the floor and get ready to assemble his new Christmas present. She knew he would like her gift, and she wasn't wrong. Boy lost his shit when he pulled back the wrapping paper and saw what was inside. I don't think I've ever heard him scream so much before.
She herself was perched on the couch with one of her presents in her hand, a book her mother had gotten her. One of ten actually. Seven from her mother, three from Jake.
It had been a very successful Christmas. Everyone had really enjoyed their gifts.
Michelle heard her phone ding and grabbed it from the coffee table. It was a message in the group chat she shared with Peter and Ned.
A few minutes into the conversation Michelle laughed at the image Peter had sent to Ned, causing Jake to lift his head. "What?"
She waved him off, "Nothing, don't worry about it." Jake shrugged and brushed her off before returning to his Lego's.
Another few minutes went by before Michelle heard her mother call out, "MJ, what time do we need to be at May and Peter's?"
"About 5!" MJ called back, having just been told that by Peter in their group chat, where she and Ned had just made a bet between each other about who would arrive first and bring all their gifts. I am going to crush him.
"Alright, we have a few hours until then. Start getting ready around 3:30 alright?" MJ yelled back with a "sure" before turning back to her book. That should be plenty of time to get ready and arrive at Peter's on time. I'm so gonna win that 10 bucks...
~~~
It was 4:25pm and Michelle, Jake and their mother were all successfully in the car with all their gifts on the way to Peter's. They wanted to leave early in case of unexpected Christmas day traffic.
Thankfully they showed up only 20 minutes later. 15 minutes early! Take that, Ned!
Michelle travelled upstairs first, her gifts for Peter, May and Ned in bags she held tightly. She knocked on the door once she stopped outside their apartment.
A few seconds later and the door opened, revealing her boyfriend, cheerful and smiling, wearing a ugly Christmas sweater, which she knew was tradition for him and his aunt. "Merry Christmas, MJ!" Peter almost shouted with glee.
Michelle rolled her eyes fondly at him. "Merry Christmas, you dork." His smile only grew and she couldn't help but return it. She leant forward and pressed a kiss on his lips, which he returned instantly. She could feel he was still smiling against her lips.
Thank God Mum and Jake are still downstairs trying to figure out how to carry up the kitchen set mum bought for May, otherwise that would have been embarrassing for them to witness. Michelle was eternally grateful her mum had let her go up early.
Peter reached forward and without looking inside, grabbed the bags from her arms with ease and took them into his. Michelle released a relieved groan once the weight was gone, and quickly thanked him.
He brought her bags inside, where she followed him, leaving the front door slightly ajar for her mother and Jake. Peter dropped the bags carefully next to the tree.
"Michelle! So good to see you again! Merry Christmas!" Michelle turned around to see May, wearing a sweater somehow more hideous than the horrendous one Peter wore, smiling wide at her and clasping a spatula in her hand.
"Merry Christmas, May! It smells wonderful," Michelle complimented. It did. The beautiful smell of a roast chicken and vegetables lingered through the whole apartment. The delicious smell had greeted her as soon as she had opened the door.
"Aww, thank you. Hopefully all goes well and it comes out nice. Ooh, excuse me, the potatoes are done." She then disappeared out of sight, back into the kitchen. The smell of cooked potato's then seeped into the air.
She turned to Peter. "Looks like she's been busy." Peter chuckled with an affirming nod, sitting down on the couch. She followed suit. "Yeah, she's been getting everything ready for hours. It's been a while since she's cooked like this for Christmas. Not since my uncle...you know."
Michelle could see the emotions swirling in Peter's head. He misses him a lot. She leant to the side and rested her head against his, placing a supportive hand on his shoulder. "He'd be really proud of you. I know it."
Peter seemed surprised but grateful for her comforting words. "Thanks. I think he would be too." He turned his head towards her, bringing their noses together, where he quickly took the opportunity and pulled her in for another kiss. Michelle sighed into it, eyes closing.
Their moment was quickly cut short however when the front door swung open and the rest of Michelle's company walked inside. Peter's eyes widened when he saw them carrying the large box between the two of them. He jumped up immediately.
"Mrs. Jones! Jake! Uh, Merry Christmas! Are you alright? Do you need some help?" He approached them quickly and bent to lift the box up. Michelle could tell that he took a lot of the weight off them judging by their relieved exhales.
"Oh, thank you, Peter. That's very kind of you. Merry Christmas to you as well." The three of them, though mostly Peter now, carried the box over to the tree and placed it beside Michelle's bag of gifts.
"Phew. Goodness that was heavy. Thanks again, Peter dear. Where's your aunt?" Mrs. Jones asked. Peter gestured behind him, "In the kitchen."
"Ahh, I see. I'll go say hi." She then smiled at him again before walking towards the kitchen. Peter turned to Jake now, who was waiting patiently.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS, PETER!!!" He cried out before running forward and giving Peter a big hug. Michelle thanked Peter's super strength and grip, otherwise he would have likely fallen over from Jake's hug. Instead he just took a slight step back to properly brace himself.
"Merry Christmas to you too, Jake. You enjoyed your gifts so far?" Jake nodded enthusiastically, "Yes, I've been building my Lego death star all morning."
Oh no. Here we go.
"Really? How far have you gotten? Did you assemble the base yet? There's so many pieces, isn't there?"
Michelle decided to sit back against the couch with her head resting on the back and tune out her boyfriend and brothers bonding time over Lego's. Let them get it out of their system.
~~~
Peter and Jake ended up talking for almost half an hour, during which Ned and his mother showed up, officially declaring Michelle the winner of the bet. Begrudgingly, he had handed her over $10, but did say that the only reason she won was because of traffic. Even though there wasn't any...sure Ned...sure...
When everyone finally gathered in the living room, Peter, Jake and Ned, who had joined their conversation after arrival, turned their attention back into the room.
"Present time!" Jake called excitedly, causing everyone to chuckle. Everyone bent down to the tree to pick up their gifts and passed it to the receiver. Michelle handed May her gift, a book she thought she'd enjoy, Ned his, another Lego set that Peter confirmed he didn't have, and his mother a nice scarf for winter.
They all thoroughly enjoyed her gifts and thanked her for it, where she softly returned "Your welcome" or "Glad you like it."
Then Michelle had received her gifts. Ned gave her a non-expiring $50 gift voucher for her favourite book store, which she wasn't surprised by, as he had complained multiple times that she had read so many books already that he didn't know which ones to get. She was thankful anyways, as now she could spend this on her next book spree rather than out of pocket.
May had given her a cool jacket and a nice pair of converse to match, which Michelle liked immediately. Ned's mother had given her a mug that said "F*ck off, I'm reading," which had made everyone laugh after she unwrapped it. I already know this is gonna be my favourite mug now.
Then, all that was left, was Peter's gift. Almost as if reading her mind, he tapped the back of her hand that he was holding with his thumb, and whispered, "Hey, let's go into my room. I wanna give you your gift."
"Alright," she whispered back. She quickly excused them both from the table, tapping her back pocket to show that they were going to exchange their gifts in private and not to do anything inappropriate.
She followed Peter as he pulled her into his room, and then sat down on the bed while he shut the door. Once it was shut, and she thought she heard the distinct sound of a lock, he turned and joined her on the bed.
His voice was jittery as he spoke, and she knew he must have been nervous. "Um, I uh, wanted to give you my present alone, well, just because it's between us and it's special and I don't want anyone to interrupt, you know-"
"Peter, it's alright, I thought the same thing. Stop rambling and breathe. What is it?" Michelle interrupted with a firm but soft voice.
Peter nodded, "Right, right. Okay, well, I um, got you this..." He reached under his pillow and pulled out a small box, closed with a ribbon and tied in a bow.
That looks suspiciously like it might be jewelry...
Carefully, she took the box from his shaking hand and carefully undid the ribbon. She could sense him watching her every move.
She pulled the ribbon off and lifted the lid of the box. Then she gasped.
"Peter...this...it's...it's beautiful!" She was staring at a stunning silver charm bracelet. It had three charms already on it, one which she could see was a book, another a beautiful pink diamond heart, and the other it looked like a spider engraved on a circle.
She couldn't believe what she was seeing. Michelle was so overwhelmed with emotions she thought she might explode. Suprise. Shock. Gratitude. Amazement. Bewilderment. Endearment. Everything.
"Peter, this is so beautiful! I love it! I'm so touched!" She turned her head towards him to see a massive relieved smile on his face. "I'm glad you like it. I hoped you would."
"Peter, how could I not like this? This is the best gift anyone has every given me!" Peter blushed a deep red, both embarrassed and elated at her reaction. He reached forward and wrapped the bracelet on her wrist clamping it shut. Michelle admired how pretty it was. I love this.
"That's not it. Turn the spider over," he directed. Having piqued her curiosity, she did as he instructed and turned the small charm over in her hand. And again, she was overwhelmed with all the emotions from before.
On the back of the spider, was a "P".
For Peter.
She couldn't hold it back anymore as tears stared to well in her eyes and fall down her cheeks. She could feel his pure, unfiltered and undeniable love for her pouring out of him through the gift.
Never in her whole life had Michelle ever felt this way. It was such a euphoric bliss that she just wanted to kiss him and fly away.
Although she couldn't fly, she could definitely kiss him. She turned to him with such sudden force, empowered with all her love and gratitude and happiness, that she knocked Peter back onto his bed as her lips crashed onto his.
~About to get a bit spicy, so stop here if you ain't ready~
He was startled for a moment, but soon recovered and returned her kiss with just as much passion as her. She wanted him to feel every ounce of her love and gratitude for him in that kiss.
She felt him smile into the kiss, and his breathing increase rapidly. His heartbeat was a vibrating thud against her chest.
This was the most intense kiss the two had ever shared. But it wasn't enough for either of them.
Michelle dropped all her weight onto him as his hands roamed her body, stopping on her thigh and waist. She could feel the strength hidden in those hands. She just wanted him to squeeze her even tighter.
Then, to her amazement, he did. His left had gravitated from her thigh up to her butt, and squeezed it gently. It sent electric pinpricks up Michelle's spine. Her mind was a blur, barely able to form a single thought through her overwhelming and increasing lust.
But there was one thought that was coherent and clear as day, shining through her jumbled mess of a mind.
More.
I want more.
And clearly Peter wanted the same. Using the hand his still had on her butt and the other on her waist for support, he suddenly flipped the both of them over, surprising her with the change in position. He was now staring down at her as she laid against the sheets.
Their red and swollen lips had separated from their heated kiss through the movement. She had full view of his handsome face. His expression looked...eager...
She felt his eyes trail all over her, making her blush from their intensity.
More.
Right as she was about to pull him back down to her lips, his gaze returned to her eyes, leant back down and kissed her fully on her mouth again. But this time, her silent wish was granted.
More.
He guided her mouth with his until it opened, where he then pushed in his tongue and began to explore her mouth while she unsuccessfully tried to battle for dominance. She gave up quickly though, as she knew it was a losing battle.
The two were panting heavily, barely managing to breathe between their passionate and heated kiss.
Attempting to regain some semblance of control, she playfully bit Peter's lip, coaxing a deep and sensual groan to emit from his mouth, vibrating in his chest.
She felt herself blush even more from his reaction, but couldn't dwell on it for long, as he quickly returned the favour, biting her lip, causing a sharp but equally as sensual moan to rise from her throat.
Peter dropped more of his weight against her as they continued kissing, and she had a brief moment of surprise when she felt his hardened bulge against her.
We've never gone this far before, she managed to think.
How far are we going to go?
Her mind moved back to reality, with the boy she loved on top of her, kissing her so passionately it made her heart melt and mind freeze, who was aroused because of her, and who made her equally as aroused. And she knew.
I want more.
Settling on her decision, she smirked against his lips as she teasingly rocked her hips up and down. His reaction was instantaneous. He moaned heavily into her mouth, and she could feel him get even harder against her. It made her mind spin.
His kisses were becoming sloppier as he needed to break for air, breathing heavily against her.
She opened her eyes slightly for a moment and could see his red and strained face inches above her own. She loved that she could get this reaction out of him. She loved that she was the only person who'd seen this side of him, one that neither of them knew he had until now.
She rocked her hips again and he groaned even louder, having to catch himself halfway through so as not to alert his guests as to what was currently happening in his bedroom.
His lips left hers and dropped to her neck. She gasped as he began to leave lovebites all over her neck and shoulders. His hand roamed up from her waist and snuck under her shirt, caressing her skin gently with his warm fingers, causing her to shiver, covering her skin in goosebumps.
She rocked her hips again and he bit down hard against the skin on her shoulder, making her moan softly. Heat was building in her now. It was a strange but sensual feeling she'd never felt before.
"Peter-" She started to say, but it turned into a moan as he bit her again. His hand was riding even higher up her shirt, resting against her ribcage now.
This time his hips bucked in response to her moaning his name. She tried again, "Peter-" but still couldn't continue.
He drew a shaky breath before whispering, "You're killing me." He bucked his hips again and she gasped as she finally breathed what she wanted to say.
"I love you, Peter." His whole body shook at her words. He bucked his hips again and as she groaned again, with his voice deep and incredibly sexy, he said, "I love you more, my beautiful," he kissed her nose, "brilliant," he kissed her left eye, "and amazing MJ." He kissed her again on her right eye before she reached up with her hands and pulled him back down to her lips.
They were panting and moaning softly, breathing the same air as they kissed with all the fire they had within them. Their hips were rocking together and Michelle felt hot all over.
Are we doing this? Are we going all the way?
The same thought seemed to pass through Peter's mind, as he pulled away for just long enough to whisper, "Are you sure?" against her lips. Michelle breathed back her "yes" as she closed her eyes and pulled him back to her.
If Michelle thought the kiss before was intense, it wasn't nothing compared to the pure, intense and fiery kiss he gave her then, as his hands reached up towards her bra clip and hers gravitated down to his jeans. But of course, before they could go any further, a knock came at the door.
~Spiciness over, you may continue~
They both froze. Michelle wanted to curse loudly at the person on the otherwise of the door but managed to hold her tongue.
It was May. "Peter? MJ? We're getting ready for dinner, you guys almost done with your gifts?"
"Y-Yeah! A-almost, May!" Peter strained out. "Alright, don't take too long." Michelle then heard her walk away from the door back towards the group of voices in the living room.
Peter looked down at Michelle, and she could tell that he didn't want to stop, but that they couldn't do anything now. May's interruption had ruined the moment and stressed them both out. As much as she didn't want to stop either, she knew she had to.
She reached up with her right hand and cupped his face, "Another time, okay?" He could probably pick up on her disappointment as well, but ultimately knew she was right.
He sighed heavily before rolling to the right and dropping onto the bed beside her. It took them both a few minutes to regain most of their composure, during which time, Michelle realised what had almost just happened.
Holy shit. Peter and I were going to sleep together!
With our parents on the other side of that door!
Holy shit!
I can't believe how intense that got.
She turned her head to the right to look at Peter. He looked annoyed, and strained from having to stop himself. But he too also looked surprised from how close the both of them just got.
Realising it had almost been five minutes since May interrupted them and that they needed to join the others quickly, Michelle took a deep breath and said, "Um, I know it might seem a little lame now, after...everything that just happened, but do you want to see what I got you for Christmas?"
Peter chuckled a bit before slowly lifting himself up and sitting cross-legged on his bed. Michelle sat up too and waited for his response. Finally he nodded with a sweet smile.
Michelle nervously reached into her back pocket and pulled out the little box. It was similar to the one that had concealed her charm bracelet, but a bit smaller.
Peter's face held a look of surprise as he stared at the box. "What's this?" He asked. In response, Michelle pushed the box towards him, gesturing for him to open it. She didn't know why, especially after what they just did, but she felt shy around him now.
She watched anxiously as he took the box into his hand, and slowly opened it. He stared inside, and it took him a moment to realise what they were, but when it finally clicked, be stared up at her with such utter amazement and gratitude that Michelle's heart nearly exploded with glee.
"Are these-?" He started, but couldn't get the words out. So, she finished them for him. "They're promise rings."
Inside the box were two rings, both silver, but one surrounding black and the other surrounding white. Michelle had thought of the gift idea after they had gotten back from the ski trip, the day they had said "I love you" for the first time, and had spent the next couple of days looking online for the perfect set for her and Peter. As soon as she saw these, she knew they were the ones.
"MJ- I...Wow. This is just...incredible." He was smiling from ear to ear as he stared at the rings. Michelle cleared her throat as she prepared herself for her speech she had already prepared for him.
"Peter Parker. I promise to always be there for you and to love and support you with everything that I have. I love you so much, and you are the most important thing in my life. I can't imagine it without you. So please, accept these rings as my promise of commitment to you."
Peter was smiling so wide and brightly at her that it must have been making his cheeks hurt. Then, to Michelle's surprise, a few tears welled in his eyes and fell down his cheeks.
He took a deep, shaky breath. "I can't even begin to explain how much this means to me. Thank you, my wonderful MJ. I promise to love you and support you and be there for you always. I gladly accept these promise rings. I love you."
Michelle now felt her own eyes water and tears run down her cheeks. She leant forward, spreading her arms, where he met her halfway for a sweet embrace. "I love you too," she whispered.
A moment later, they pulled apart, and Peter reached into the box, pulling out the two rings. He turned them over, and his face lit up at the little surprise she had yet to reveal. On the insides of the rings, were their names engraved. The smaller white one simply read "My Peter," and the slightly larger black one read, "My MJ."
Peter wiped his eyes as he read the engravings. Michelle reached forward and took the white ring and placed it on her right ring finger. Peter, noticing her actions, then lifted the black ring and did the same, placing his ring on his right ring finger as well.
Their eyes met and smiles spread across their faces again as they stared at each other. "Thank you, MJ. For everything. Really. I love you." Peter whispered.
"Thank you for everything too, Peter. I love you more." A second later, Peter's lips had moved forward to meet hers again. She sighed into the kiss, but when she felt that heat begin to build between them again, she pushed back, resting her forehead against his. "Later," she breathed, her breath brushing his cheek. He almost growled in his whispered response, something she had never heard from him before, "I'm coming to your place later."
Michelle shivered at his sensual and clearly meaningful words, needing to take a moment to remember how to breathe again. "Um...we should, you know, go back out," Michelle offered, gesturing to the door.
That's, uh, something I can deal with...later...
Peter smirked, clearly knowing what affect his words had on her. But he let her change the subject, "Alright, let's go." He stood up and grabbed her hand, pulling her with him as he walked back to his door.
She had been right earlier, as he had indeed locked his door. He quickly turned the lock the other way and opened the door back to the rest of the apartment.
"There they are!" Michelle heard her mother call. "You guys ready for dinner?" Ned's mother asked. The both of them nodded, "Yes, I'm starving." Peter said, with a polite smile. "Me too," Michelle added.
Ned approached them, "It smells so good! Come on, May just put everything out on the table." He went to turn around but did a double take. "Hey...what's up with your faces? They're all...red..." He asked with his brows furrowed.
"Nothing," Michelle and Peter both said at the same time. Ned eyed them suspiciously but decided to let it go and turned back to head towards the kitchen.
Peter and Michelle briefly chuckled to themselves about what just happened before following Ned to the kitchen. Everyone was getting seated around the table, which was now covered in all of the deliciously mouthwatering food May had prepared.
Michelle sat down next to her brother, who was already staring wide-eyed at the food. Peter sat down next to her on her right, with May at the head of the table beside him. They smiled at each other before turning back to the food. Once everyone was ready, they began to dish up.
The rest of the evening went by in a happy blur, with everyone going in for seconds or even thirds of the delicious Christmas dinner, before then heading out into the living room to watch White Christmas, which was showing on the TV.
Michelle and Peter stayed close together for the rest of the night, occasionally sharing knowing glances before they both flushed red.
Michelle looked down at her new charm bracelet and promise ring as the night finally started to die down, and she knew, as she grasped Peter's hand in hers tightly, staring at the boy she loved and who she knew loved her in return, she knew that never again, would she have a Christmas as wonderful as this one.
~THE END~
