Chapter Text
I finally remembered why I was persistent moving out of my family's house when I turned 21.
The presence of other people, sometimes it tends to bother me when I want to be alone.
Especially in my safe place; my apartment. My home.
When I brought these poor isekai'd co-workers of mine to my space, I failed to consider how they would act as roommates.
All I can say is that three ex-coworkers of mine are starting to annoy me.
This one time:
−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−
"Grapes-ie, you wanna go out today with your favorite character?" Choi bursted inside of my bedroom for the umpteenth time, scaring me who was trying to take a nap.
'No, and stop trying to break down my door!'
Instead of saying my complaints out loud, I politely declined.
−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−
I must be an angel for staying calm, aren't I?
Another one:
−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−
"Saheon, clean your own dishes! There's so many!" I shouted at the brown haired bastard sitting on the couch, with earphones stuck in his ear.
No response, I don't know whether he's genuinely deaf by the music or he's purposefully ignoring me.
I approached Baek Saheon, removing one earphone from his ear and repeated what I shouted earlier.
"Oh, uh...." Saheon's eyes looked to the side. "I actually have somewhere to go. Like, errands."
'This fucker really has the audacity to speak back to me, does he really want to die right now?'
I ended up grabbing him by the hair and dragging him over to the sink, forcing him to wash the dishes as I stare him down from the side.
−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−
I wasn't too much of an angel there this time but it's justified.
Oh, and there was this:
−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−
Cigarette butts scattered around the balcony floor, with two whiskey bottles— one of them being empty and the other halfway finished— on top of the table.
Eun Haje sat on one of the chairs, taking a sip of her whiskey before finally noticing me.
"Oh, hey Soleum. Wanna drink?" She offered.
I stood there in the doorframe of the balcony, silent.
My fists clenched.
−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−
That really was my final straw.
I sat all three roommates of mine that had been bothering me this past week.
"Hyung, tell them." I stared at Jaekwan, whose expression turned into one of surprise when I called him hyung.
'Well, we've gotten close as proper friends nowadays, so why not treat him as such?'
Choi seemed to be glaring at Jaekwan though.
Jaekwan ignored his senior's jealous glares, facing the three.
"According to Soleum, he is considering on kicking you all out of the apartment since..." Jaekwan looked down at the script I gave him in his hands, then looking back up.
He continued. "Because you guys are 'annoying and ruin Kim Soleum's idea of a peaceful space'."
They all whipped their heads towards me, all three of them looking shocked.
I simply nodded.
Eun Haje was the first to speak up, laughing. "Why should I listen to this guy? He's not my superior."
"Eun Haje, be respectful." Lee Jaheon approached behind me, staring at Eun Haje.
She immediately went silent after being told by her superior.
'Good job, Lee Jaheon!'
"So uh, grapes-ie... How do we avoid being kicked out?" Choi spoke to me, chuckling nervously.
I didn't respond, refusing to talk to any of them.
Jaekwan replied in my stead, "Redeem yourselves by being the 'maids of this household and serve Lord Soleum.'"
He looked unsure of everything he was saying, looking awkward being my communicator.
You're probably asking me:
'Kim Soleum, why do they have to redeem themselves as maids and serve you? Also what's with the Lord title? Are you a pervert? I'm gonna report you to the cops.'
First of all, these three roommates of mine are either unemployed or just don't exactly work much.
Baek Saheon works for only 5 hours a day, Choi relied on Jaekwan to work instead, and Eun Haje is the ultimate lazy woman.
It's much better if they focus on the household chores, but alas, they forget where they stand in my apartment.
Second, let me feel powerful in my own home.
If I say I am 'Lord Soleum', then all shall refer to me as such.
Do I sound fancy? Say yes.
Lastly, are you a Baek Saheon fan? Watch out for serial killers.
"Decide on which household chores you will all work on, and do your best." Jaekwan ended his statement with a nod, as me, him, and Lee Jaheon went back to our bedrooms.
Eun Haje, Baek Saheon, and Choi were left to sit on the couch, still processing what they had to do for the past two weeks.
It'll surely be fun.
