Sora was over in the corner, puking out her guts, over the ledge, apparently teleportation disagreed with her stomach.
Rusty was surveying the area, they seemed to be on a floating mountain of sorts.
"So...Where are we?" Kai remarked, looking over the edge, seeing another floating island below them, and and a massive landscape even deeper below.
"You are on Tolemac" A voice remarked, and Kai turned, seeing a strange feminine anthropromorphic bird.
"So... what are you?" Kai asked, looking at him, the larger anthropromorphic bird, which was wearing a strange golden harness.
"I am WainGa! The Zhenniao!" It proclaimed, spinning around him dripping a toxic looking substance from it's feathers.
"...It's nice to meet you" Kai held out a hand, which the creature placed it's beak in, and they shook.
"An elemental master? They're rare in this realm" Remarked Wain.
"Oh really, what realm would that be?" Sora asked, continuing to puke up their guts.
"...That would be the wyldness, one of the realms crafted by the first spinjitzu master" The bird proclaimed, moving forwards.
"Well then, nice to know" Kai smiled.
"Would you like a harness and some Chi?" Asked the bird.
"What's Chi?" Rusty asked.
"It's condensed life force, given physical form, so that it can be integrated, consumed, or absorbed, and pours down from these great mountains, to the reserves below, everyone gets a fair share. Would you like just pure chi, or some poison imbued ones?" Wain explained, as they began to stroll through the town, with a number of various other anthropromorphic people, including a stick insect with a fridge.
"Oh a nice mix please" Kai smiled, as Sora stopped puking on the ground, storing them away, with a smile, it was nice to meet someone reasonable.
"So... Why's... the wyldness like this?" She asked.
"...Long ago, there was a great plague that spread across the land, in order to protect us, the great mothers and fathers, mother sun, father land, aunt ocean, uncle mist, Grandfather Light, Grandmother shadow, and brother balance, lifted up the land to the sky, to ensure all races survived, with each island being given a set of great elemental birds to protect and watch over them" Waine explained.
"Good to know" Kai hissed, as he stretched, before a loud sound of an explosion rocked the island.
"...Oh no" Sighed Waine.
"It seems there are people in need of help!" Proclaimed Rusty, and Kai, immediately nodded, grabbing Sora and flying down on an elemental dragon of speed, while Rusty swung through the underbrush.
"Please, Please help us!" The Platypuses all cried out, as the dragon roared out, their rider cackling maniacally.
"YES! SURRENDER YOUR TREASURES!" She announced, loudly, as the dragon breathed out a wave of flaming ash, which set fire to the mayor's house.
"Foul Heathen, you strike at our homes, have you no honour!" Screamed head guard Parry.
"Honour, pshaw, I'm like, the most honourable, Heatwave!" she began, before a spike of earth from below launched the both of them upwards.
"Argh, who did that, i'm going to punch you! With fire!" She growled, as she looked up, seeing a man with brown spiky hair, in a strange armoured Gi.
"Yeah, I'd like to see you try" Smirked Kai, as he swirled his staff.
"Alright, Heatwave, hit him with all you got!" Announced wyldfire as she rushed at the man, leaping off of rubble, in a chain of jumps, getting closer, and almost managing to hit him, as he ducked out of the way, hitting the ground quickly, as Heatwave fired out blasts of lava into the air, which hardened into obsidian knives.
"Alright, now you're done for!" Wyldfire declared, as she unleashed a flurry of punches towards her opponent, as the knives fell down around her, nearly impaling him, as he dodged, just barely moving out of the way, as if on instinct, the dragon energy from them filtering into her, before she rushed in, with a magma dash, her fist aimed at his skull, only for it to become metal, as he tanked it, and a leg hit her in the chest, at hyper speed, knocking her into the larger dragon, as a massive robot slammed down from above, crushing them both into the dirt.
"Urgh" she groaned, growling, as she got up to her feet.
"I think we might have got off on the wrong foot" Kai said, as he got closer, looking at the girl wearing rags, which were barely being held together by various ties, knots, and pins.
"I'll get your wrong foot!" She growled, leaping at him, and trying to stab his foot, only for him to sidestep her.
“Not so fast!” He proclaimed, shifting behind her, as an arrow with a blunt top, courtesy of Sora hit her in the nose.
”The hell-argh!” She growled, rubbing her nose, before grabbing at her armpits and throwing a number of tiny parasites, crab looking things, which Kai torched on instinct.
”This is… Wyldfyre, of your species, ninjago natives, I presume, you don’t walk like those fakes from the first realm” Waine remarked, flying in, while Rusty wrestled the big dragon.
”problem child” Sora noted.
”I’ll show you who’s a problem child!” She growled, before being picked up by the scuff of her neck like a misbehaving cat.
“… where did Zanth go?” Kai looked around, not sure how he missed the dragon.
”Went to go check up on family” Sora shrugged.
”Why are you even doing this?” Kai asked, holding the raggedy clothed girl away from him, as she… smelled.
”Wouldn’t you like to-“ she began, before a glare from his eyes caused her to wince.
”It’s fun, no big deal, I do pranks all the time!” She groaned.
”Like?” You asked.
”Ooh, sometimes I have heatwave help me heat up my hand before I handshake someone, so it burns them” she cackled.
”That’s just bully, not a prank” Kai sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
”Whatever” she sighed, looking away.
”So, where are you going?” Asked Waine.
”I’m headed that a way!” Kai pointed over in a direction.
”Ah, mount Cavvohra?” Waine remarked, and Kai nodded.
”Well then, I can guide you there” smiled the Zhenniao.
“Kid, if I show you something cool, you going to come with?” Asked Kai, as he held up the little girl.
”It’s going to have to be super cool!” She announced, holding a fist to the sky.
”Alright, how’s this?” Kai smiled, as he grabbed a small blue ball of Chi from the sack Zhenniao was holding, and stuffed it down his throat.
He felt his energy, his life force, his existence, amplified upon itself, as he reached into the heavens with the power of fire, and bellowed out, theatrically, and Etherically “WATCHA THINK!” As a truly impressive burst of flame roared into the sky, taking the shape of heatwave and Wyldfyre, before exploding like fireworks.
”You know I could have gotten you a harness?” Waine looked at Kai.
Kai ignored the toxic bird, and looked to the struck Wyldfyre.
"...Teach me" She demanded.
