How to Make Friends & Alienate People (Truth or Dare Style)

Chapter 40: Ending VI

Chapter Text

Wyatt leaves the others as soon as the game ends. Lisa's shift was scheduled to end at 10:00 PM and it's now 10:05 PM. Wyatt isn't the most punctual of people but Lisa is, so she'll be expecting his call.

These past few months their schedules have been particularly difficult to align as Lisa is still considered a new hire at the hospital, having been there less than a year, and she tends to be assigned the less desirable shifts. Lisa doesn't mind the odd hours. She's used to it as a doctor and she loves her new job. Wyatt just misses her and knows she would have loved the chance to join him for the weekend.

He dials Lisa before he even makes it back to his room. He asks about her day and she tells him as much as she can while maintaining patient privacy.

By the time Wyatt is back in his room and comfortable on his bed, he's catching Lisa up on some of the more interesting parts of their game.

"—poor Pike. He looked shocked. I don't blame him, but why ask a question you don't want the answer to?"

"I think it had more to do with embarrassing his friend than himself," Lisa responds.

"I just still can't reconcile the polite and serious Shane Hollander being a kinky motherfucker."

"You can't make assumptions. What people do in the bedroom is their own business."

"Unless you're Pike."

Lisa laughs, "I guess you're right." There's a beat of silence before she adds. "I'm glad you had fun. From what it sounds like, they're a good group of guys."

"They really are."

Notes:

Fingers crossed I got the navigation right for this. If anything's wonky, please let me know.

I did my best to provide options but had to omit a few for characterization purposes and to cut back on variables. It was either that or remove participants and I couldn't bring myself to do that. If I did my math right (which I likely did not), there's still 30+ combinations/scenarios to play through.

Thank you to anyone willing to wade through my clunky writing and to patiently navigate the links. Hope you had fun reading. I had fun writing.
