“With a Jade ring…”

Chapter 10: Marry me?

Summary:

MARRIAGE!!!! (The end, yep, bye now)

Chapter Text

The wedding was set up, flowers blooming around where the red carpets spread, warmth blessing Derek’s tan skin, his eyes looked almost amber in the lighting, he wore an off-tone white with a deep navy vest that flared at the ends with silver highlights, waiting at the altar for Avery to walk down the aisle with his mother.

Avery was being fitted in their dress, smiling from ear to ear as they told their bridesmaids about how beautiful everything was and how this wedding would be perfect, every little detail was memorized.

”Oh, ma! It’ll be wonderful, I’ll say yes then we’ll go on a honeymoon to the forest, he’s such a charming writer, and we’re planning on setting up a cabin in the valley, where we’ll rest and cuddle and snuggle and— it’s just so exciting!”

The queen nodded along, comfortably tightening his corset until he signaled for her to stop.

“You look wonderful, hunny,” Avery’s mother softly sighed, patting them on the head before offering her arm to walk them down, Avery looping their arm with hers before they walked the path.

Derek felt a softly gentle smile spread across his lips as his soon-to-be spouse came down the aisle with their mother.

Avery did look wonderful, he had a beautiful trail behind him, his freckles shining under the sun’s rays, deep chocolate skin contrasting with pure white of his dress, Avery’s smile was beautiful, his eyes practically had stars shining through them.

Der watched as Avery joined him on the altar, the priest started the vows after every one got quiet, then it got to the best part.

”Derek Harrison, do you take Avery Wilson as your spouse?”

”I do.” Der nodded.

”Avery Wilson, do you take Derek Harrison as your spouse?”

”I do!” Avery squealed.

”you may now kiss—“

Avery crashed their lips into Derek’s without warning before the priest could finish, causing for Der to fall backwards onto the ground while Avery refused to part until they needed oxygen.

”I love you!” Avery breathed out cheerfully.

Derek didn’t reply until he caught his breath and said, “I love you too,”

Avery threw the bouquet of red and white tulips.

Notes:

…And with a jade ring, at first sight, that’s when I realized, you love me too. So will you marry me?
