Chapter Text
Idun doesn’t smoke. It’s not that she has some higher power over herself, one that helps her keep away from it. She doesn’t smoke, but she does anything other than that. She feels like the smoke strangles her and the replacement of air into nicotine and tar forces her even further down into a hole.
The gambling lets her have a sense of control- or lack thereof, it gives life more stakes. The drinking makes her even bolder and loving, until it becomes too much for others, but no need to talk about that.
Ooo, and, the fights. It’s one of her most recent developments, she discovered fights after one too many men laid a hand on her when she bets high and wins.
She started going to old factories with hard concrete floor and candles risking the burning of your clothes. It’s real, the fists in your face, the change is, that you are allowed to hit back as hard as you can.
Don’t think of the repercussions if they win, when you’re the one who looses. Gosh the looks you get after breaking a winning streak and people who bet for you looses their money.. it’s almost worse than the bruises you get from the punches. The punches makes you feel alive. It hurts, but that’s the secret. Idun likes it. She’s had an axe in her back, that hurt more than any punch those failures could ever throw.
