Chapter Text

C'mon, snakey! Spill it!" The twins said as they cornered the boy against a wall.

"I don't get why you're so interested!?" The other boy stammered. It wasn't really a surprise when he and Chuuya got together, so he was obviously wasn't used to this type of attention.

"Well firstly, you don't seem like the type to date someone!" Fred answered, "And secondly," the other continued for him, "you didn't even tell us!"

"Eh, why would I tell you?" The boy replied—clearly confused, probably because he didn't actually expect anyone to care that much. "Because we're your besties, you should obviously tell us when you start dating!"

"I didn't think it was that important. Me and him also prefer keeping it private." He answered truthfully. He decided since the entire thing was exposed anyway there was no point in keeping secrets.

"HIM!?"

Dazai flinched at the sudden loud noise from the two. Fred recovered quickly and asked "Snakey, you're gay!?" He starred at the boy he'd known for years—he looks like he just figured out his entire life was a lie. "But you always ask girls for a double suicide, and this entire time you had a boyfriend!?" The second ginger questioned.

"Actually I'm bi," he looked at Fred's direction, "and whenever I'm asking for double suicide I'm actually just joking around." He then looked at George. "Does that answer all your questions?"

"No!" The two screamed at him while the poor boy looked exhausted. "What does he look like?" Fred asked, clearly curious about the entire thing. "You'll know once you meet him." He answered nonchalantly. "When did you meet?" The other twin continued the interrogation. "Few months before first year" he had a slight red tint on his face while recalling the fond memory.

"Ooh~, snakey's blushing!!" The two teased.

"Am not!" He huffed, "Anyway, I gotta go, see ya’"

The twins watched Dazai's retreating figure and he walked down the quiet hall. When he was finally out of earshot the two glanced at eachother with a mischievous smile.

_____

The gryffindor's table was packed and everyone was enjoying their food as usual—well, it was the usual before the twins started talking.

"You guys wanna know a little something about our dear Dazai?" Fred said while chewing his food.

"What'd he tell ya'?" Harry asked with his mouth stuffed with food. Hermione quickly scolded the them for talking with their mouths full. While the others just ignored her and waited for the other twin to continue.

"Well, what if I told you snakey has a special someone?"

The group froze and utensils stopped clattering. They all looked at the manical glint in the twins' eyes.

"Hah, good joke." Ron quickly recovered from the shock—believing it was just some elaborate prank they usually pull despite the pit in his stomach telling him a different story.

"It's not!!" The pranksters cried out. Pouting like a certain brunette they know—goodness, Dazai clearly rubbing off on them.

"Even if it isn't a joke, we should be happy for him and support whoever he's with, along with giving them proper privacy and—"

"We get it Hermione!" Shouted Fred, clearly annoyed at the blabber and the fact no one believed them.

"That's nice, but what's it have to do with us?" Harry asked.

"We'll be meeting them of course!" George replied enthusiastically.

The table fell into silence once again.

___

"You can do this—it can't be so bad right!? I mean even if it goes bad its not like I'll have to crawl in a hole and die out of embarrassment, right!?" Draco and Pansy peeked through the small crack of the door, watching Blaise mutter to himself while practicing a spell.

"Woah, calm down there." Draco said as he walked inside with Pansy trailing closely behind him.

"Sorry, it's just that—"

"We get it, just chill out a bit." Pansy interrupted before he could go on any further.

"I heard the others say Dazai is waiting for someone at the dock, you should get going." Draco announced, signalling that they should go. They hurried out quickly and proceeded to the dock.

_____

"You should all hide, we don't want to scare him off, right?" Dazai started as he ushered the others.

"I thought you told them that we'd be meeti—"

Dazai shushed Hermione by pointing a finger on her mouth. Seeing no choice she quickly obeyed and went off.

Everything was going well but a few of them weren't there yet.

"Sorry we're late." Blaise muttered apologetically.

"You guys go hide, quickly!" Dazai rushed towards them, barely able to hide his excitement. Draco and Pansy moved towards the others. "Ah, Blaise—"

"Dazai."

The brunette was caught off guard by the sudden seriousness, he could feel the tension wafting through the air.

He composed himself before mumbling, "Yes? What is it?" The gryffindors were equally curious on what he had to say.

"Well, I have a new spell I want to show you." Blaise quickly took out his wand and casting the spell he was practicing all morning.

"What are you doi—" The brunette tried to ask before a bouquet of flowers was shoved in his hands.

"No! This can't be happening!" Hermione hissed. The two slytherins looked at hermione with disgust. "And why not? Are you really going to deprive Dazai of love?" Pansy scolded but her words just passed through Hermione's other ear. The gryffindors knew what was coming when Hermione shook Ron by the shoulders and pointed at something at the distance.

It all happened in a blink of an eye. Something came crashing at Dazai.

"What's up, idiot!" The boy yelled as he was on top of Dazai and acting like nobody else was there. He was clearly unaware that the others were hiding.

"Heya chibiko!!" The brunette said through surprisingly genuine laughs. The redhead helped the other get up still giggling. "Wow, never saw you as the type to give flowers." He said pointing at the bouquet his boyfriend was holding. "Ah, you se—"

"Who the hell are you." Blaise's voice was gravely serious, obviously offended that his confession was interrupted. You could hear a little 'eek' from Harry from the sidelines.

Chuuya, not sensing the seriousness in his tone replied casually, "Chuuya. You're that Blaise guy Dazai talked about, right?"

"Indeed. Well, I wanted to say something before you rudely interrupted."

"Ah, right sorry." He said as he stepped aside.

"Well, continuing. Dazai Osamu, I-" The words got caught on his throat when he saw the red head from the corner of his eye—glaring at him. That didn't matter though—not right now.

"I like you!" He managed to blurt out. The others stayed silent. Chuuya was about to go over before Dazai stopped him, letting Blaise finish. "Ever since you came here I knew you were different. Despite being outcasted and being painted as evil, you didn't let it get to you, I couldn't help but admire you for that. Though, slowly that admiration became something else—"

"Blaise."

"Y-yes..?" The boy tried to calm himself down as he looked at the guy opposite of him.

"We—" Dazai was about to reject before someone cut him off. Seriously, what was up with people and interrupting him?

"Excuse me." The ginger said stepping up so that he's face to face with the guy. Chuuya's face darkened which made him a different level of intimidating— one he rarely does.

"Ugh, what do you want now!?" He snapped, "Can't you just let me talk in peace? I'm trying to confess and you've done nothing but be a pain in the ass bye interrupting earlier! I'm sorry, but I don't care for you at the moment I only care about him!" He ranted furiously. Draco tried to come out of hiding to try and calm Blaise down. Clearly startled by his friend's sudden outburst.

"Blaise, come on. Just relax. Don't listen to whatever he has to say." Draco said trying to comfort Blaise.

"And that's exactly the problem." He spoke up once more, not caring if others saw him as an asshole for interfering on a wholesome moment. "You think I can just watch you confess to him?"

"Why does it concern you!? He has every right to do so!" Pansy raised her voice as she walked beside Draco.

"And I have every right to tell him not to! I'm his boyfriend for fuck's sake!"

The silence was loud. Blaise doubled down. He felt a thousand needles prick his heart, wishing the earth could just swallow him up as if he never existed. "W-what, no. That can't— he would've told us, right..?" He glanced toward Dazai as if to ask him that it was all a joke.

"I'm sorry, but I can't reciprocate your feelings. The others probably know since the twins told them." He looked towards the gingers and the two nodded in confirmation. "Again, I'm terribly sorry. You deserve someone who'll love you back." He raised his hand towards Blaise to pull him up and the other accepted. "I understand. Thank you for being honest with me. I hope we can still be friends."

"Why wouldn't we be?" Dazai smiled before turning to look at Draco and Pansy.

"I assume you two didn't know?" He questioned.

"Yeah." Pansy answered. "Sorry about that." She said apologetically. "I do hope you forgive us. After all we we're unaware." The blonde continued. "It's fine I didn't bother to tell you guys anyway so it's partly my fault also."

"Sooo, who wants to hear embarrassing stories about Dazai back home?" The ginger decided to speak up. Fred and George spiked up and came running at Chuuya. "Tell us all of it!! You're now an honorary Weasely after all." They grinned mischievously as the shorter whispered in their ear.

"WAIT CHUU DON—"

Notes:

THIS SUCKEDDD I'm not really satisfied with how it turned out but IDGAF 😔

Guess you can say I'll never be satisfied..? Heh..
Ok I'm sorry I'll stop with the Hamilton references..
I WAS gonna add more Blaise angst but genuinely just lost all my motivation so this is the best y'all are getting.

Notes:

I'm sorry in advance for the Blaise angst lmao, the fic felt bland so I decided to add it.

I love the idea of Pansy and Draco being besties rather than lovers soz
