Me as Grian (censored for privacy reasons). (made with gouache paints)
From a series of 'selfies' (A4 sized artworks focusing on myself). This was in response to the prompt "If I was ___ I'd be ___" (If I was in the life series I'd be Grian)
My teddy as Grian (made with mainly gouache, also pencil, pastels and crayons (I feel so bad, I mixed way too much gouache and it's really expensive, I hope my teacher doesn't hate me TwT))
The unit for this was "Self" so for my final I had to do something about - you guessed it - myself. It explores how I hope to be perceived through my emotions and actions. Emotionally, I hope to be seen as considerate, gentle, forgiving and kind; which is represented by the focus of the artwork on my childhood teddy. Through my actions I hope to be seen as impulsive, cheeky and silly; which is represented by my teddy being dressed as Grian. (did i just copy part of my artist statement.... maybe... :p ) I love the texturing I did for this.
