Chapter Text
Don't touch me.
"Fushi-"
"Stop."
Just don't touch me.
Fushiguro's tone of voice wasn't angry. It was confusion, disgust. Or maybe it was fear. It could be all of those and more.
So gross.
He felt this thing in his chest. He'd felt this before, but it had never been this intense. It was like withered flowers blooming in his heart. His feelings were overwhelming him, and it seemed like he was going to puke.
Itadori's voice cut through his thoughts like a knife. "Hey, you good? I can like, make some food for us if you're not feeling well?"
Fushiguro's eyes widened. He'd never gotten an offer of hospitality before. The heavy feeling in his chest lightened, if only a fraction. But he pushed it down, as it was improper for a tutor to do anything but tutor.
"Are you sure? If it's too much work I can go buy something mysel-"
"C'mon, don't be like that Fushiguro-san!" Itadori's cheerful voice cut him off, a teasing lilt accompanying his words.
Being as stubborn as he was, Fushiguro gave in with a silent curse to himself. Only this once, he promised.
"Fine. But don't think I'll be coming here looking forward to your cooking every tutoring session." He had to stifle a soft laugh and a smile.

Wooden utensils against stainless steel, two boys together in the kitchen. The space was full of Itadori's bubbly laughs and Fushiguro's content sighs.
"Why does it look like that?" Fushiguro chuckled.
"Soup is supposed to look like that, stupid!" Itadori replied, a genuine grin on his face.
They took turns stirring the soup, the other adding ingredients to the pot. Fushiguro's eyes seemed to soften whenever his gaze wandered anywhere towards Itadori.
"Say 'ahh'!" Itadori held a spoon of soup to Fushiguro's lips, hand shaking lightly.
A light pink blush that he hoped wasn't visible painted his cheeks. His face burned. He took a sip from the spoon, his eyes brightening with delight. "Where'd you get this recipe from? It's really good." Fushiguro asked, setting up bowls and spoons on the table for the two of them.
Itadori didn't look up from the pot, still adding ingredients and stirring as he responded. "Yuko showed me the recipe when I went over to her house."
Yuko, huh.
