“December 19th. ‘Last day of school before break. Saw Tommy laughing about something stupid Minho did today. Why does he have to be so lovely?’” Dex shakes his head, as if scolding a little kid. “Oh come on Newt,” he says mockingly, "you think that thing is ‘lovely’? Where are your standards?"
Thomas just opens his mouth, and croaks, “Uhm…”
His eyes find Newt’s, and he sees the exact moment the blond’s face goes from red to completely white. Tears begin to well in those big brown honey eyes.
“February 3rd. ‘Tommy would never like someone like me anyway. I’m disgusting.’ Damn Newt,” Dex scoffs.
Tears are now actually streaming down the blond’s pale cheeks. His eyes are wide with fear and his lips are pressed together in humiliation.
Thomas sees red, then in a blur of blond, Newt is out of his chair, across the room, and through the classroom door.

A bully finds and read's Newt's private thoughts about Thomas from his diary in front of the whole class. Minho is angry, Thomas is also secretly in love, Newt is bad at being vulnerable, and Alby doesn't get paid (enough) for any of this. Hurt/comfort and lots of feels.
