Chapter Text
Green was profoundly confused.
They had remembered talking to Kris and returning back to their true form.
And then they reawoke in what they assumed to be the garden, but some things were very much different.
There were no darkners anywhere, and the normally pink trees were now a familiar golden.
In the way they were the same colour as Flowery was.
They had to wonder if their golden boy was alright, as they remembered feeling Flowery's emotions flicker shortly after returning to their flower form.
They could only hope.
But they first had to deal with their more prominent issue.
Yellow was the only flower that was near them; there was no trace of the other ones. But Green was sure they would also be here somewhere.
Green already had to talk Yellow down three times from trying to punish himself.
Green did not mind, but Blue was simply better at dealing with the Cowboy when he was in one of his… moods.
Said Cowboy was currently sitting on the ground, legs pulled towards his chest, face set in a lost expression.
“I must have messed up… That has to be why Blue ain’t here…” Yellow muttered to himself, tracing lines in the grass. Green patted the man on the shoulder. They had tried to pull out something to eat.
But they couldn't help but notice the difference in themselves.
Spawning food from air was no longer in the cards.
They had also noticed their own changes… The best way they could explain it was being less blocky. Their more exaggerated features smoothing out, the same could also be said for Yellow.
The flower was still lanky as always, but his very blocky face had noticeably rounded, though one could still call it blocky by human standards.
Actually, now that they noticed, these changes seemed to almost make the two of them seem more human. Though they obviously were only going by the information they currently possessed.
Green's clothes had also changed; they wore what they could only describe as fantasy garb, though they were lucky to report that most of their pockets and bottles were filled with spices and other necessary ingredients for cooking. Even if the clothes werent their favorite bright green anymore.
Yellow's clothes had changed surprisingly little, only becoming a bit more fantasy-esque and less yellow, though it had still spooked the cowboy, his hat nearly flying off. Of course that resulted in another mini breakdown.
Luckily Green did not mind; any other flower next to blue might have been in over their heads, or in Aqua's case, made things worse.
Yellow jumped up as he finally stopped moping. “Green! What are we going to do?!”
Green pulled out a sign with a smile. “Finding Blue & Others” was written on it in green letters. At least they could still pull out signs.
Yellow brightened up considerably at the simple answer, grabbing his gun. "Course! And then we’ll punish the bad guys that took 'em." Green simply nodded, giving Yellow a thumbs up.
The two hurried through the familiar but, at the same time, not familiar garden, solving some puzzles with Green actually completing them, but Yellow still gave his own moral support as Green balanced the watering cans on their head.
Yellow and Green walked over some newly sprouted flowers, only to come across a small pond.
Green frowned as they stared at the lake; the water was…
Deep black, viscous, and smelly, like tar.
Yellow had pulled his head down, face hidden.
“What criminells would do such’a thing?!” He whispered in disbelief.
Green agreed silently.
“Justice will find em’ fer sure!” Yellow hollered in anger, gripping his revolver, pulling his hat down in a cool-looking pose once more. Green gave another thumbs up, a ding ringing out as they moved away from the pond.
They continued, walking up a small incline. Both of them stopped in open shock as they got a clear view of what should have been Flower Castle.
Flower Castle was still clearly distinguishable. But its color had turned grey, dark and gloomy, the previous colour seemingly drained from it; the surrounding area looked dead, similar black tar-like water surrounding it.
The sun on the horizon took on a blue hue as they stared.
Something about this whole Darkworld was very wrong.
Green knew that for sure.
